Moyes is showing his true colours. He kept us ticking over but isn't a winning manager. Watching them week in week out he showed he only ever had a plan A. He never had a plan B. He will lose the United dressing room by Christmas. Who cares about Moyes now? We should just look forward to a new era and new season. It sounds like Martinez as won our dressing room already!

Why are you talking about Davy Moyes, he is not our manager. If I was you I would worry about our manager who will fail, I hope Kenright has the money to pay him off when he realises what a bad manager he is. Stop trying to kid yourself that Martinez is any good, he is an person.
MG

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said MG, he's the one who will be gone by Xmas!

Oh and Martinez has not 'won our dressing room' far from it
He thinks he is big time and he is just using Everton to get where he thinks he should be! He thinks Everton are a small club which I'm sure he will change his mind after a few home games when we are inevitably on his back

Moyes has gone, Martinez is the boss everton is are team

Agree0 Disagree0

I didn't realise 2nd poster was mystic meg. how on earth do you know he is going to fail. so wigan got relegated blah blah blah. Martinez i'd widely respected in football and not just in england. you can see on everyones face at everton that they enjoy training and playing for martinez. moyes never won anything in 11 years but bobbu got fa cup with a far less superior team. our squad is strengthened with more signings to come. but as you know the future meg ill believe you. now to a more serious point meg. give me the lotto numbers for the weekend

MG where do you get the idea Martinez is not a good manager. I think he will bring a breath of fresh air which is much needed to our great Blues. He has been the boss for less than 4 weeks and has already made exxcellent signings with little money outgoing. Read the comments by the players regarding his style. Watch the youngsters come through at a quicker rate than Moyes ever did. I honestly believe he will take us to the next level so get behind him and the club.
wellzee

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical doom and gloom fans. They would never be happy no matter who we got in and I'll bet a pound to a penny they don't even go the game! To write Martinez off before we have even kicked a ball is nothing short of ignorant and stupid. Remember Kendle? And Moyes wasn't well received either for quite a while. Spray paint Moyes Out all over Goodison. Give the lad a chance you sound like a pair of Kopites (maybe you are?)

Agree0 Disagree0

JBlue, If you think Moyes had no plan B, just wait till you get a load of Martinez.

As for Dentielad, along with hundreds of other Everton fans you seem to want to give Martinez the praise for winning the FA Cup, yet blame Wigans players for getting relegated?. can't have it both ways i'm afraid.

So let me ask you this?. The Wigan side, I presume you saw at Goodison in the FA Cup QF (and the 2 league games for that matter) and the side you watched on telly beat City. Did they look like relegation material to you? A common sense answer from a any neutral, and knowledgable supporter would be. NO.

So why did they?

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon the MG name will mysteriously disappear when he/she/it is proved so horribly wrong.

"Pretty much everything we've done so far on the field has been with the ball. All the running has been with the ball and it's something we don't usually do. I've loved it. You'd be surprised how hard it is with the ball though. ''
Leon Osman quote (so we are focusing on control -great) but if you have got class players playing the beautiful game throughout you beat Barcelona-if you haven't you might get relegated.
Really hope all positive comments from players and fans are going to result in us stuffing teams next year guys but I got a horrible feeling it's going to be WOW or OW next season.
If you read comments from players (as above) it's clear that DM's training and tactics are coming into question it's ok on the training ground but have we got the class to produce the goods when we KO at Norwich?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If you take Swansea as an example you can draw many positives.

They came into a very physical league with very diminutive players, who were unknown to us yet kept the ball and made teams like arsenal and city look equal if not inferior to them. ( both teams lost at the liberty in swanseas first season)

They got this brand of football from our manager. Surely we can improve and compete better than we did under DM.

So I'm looking at Wow.

Toffee ace

Agree0 Disagree0

When swansea came to premier I loved watching them on tv. i'm sure they had a better successful pass rate than any1 in europe. teams running round like headless chickens trying to get ball back. no good if you can't pass a ball though lol

Lindegaard seems to be playing well preseason for united. Hopefully this might put united off paying out for baines? I know preseason doesn't really count but he been banging the goals in. Any news on Honda ed? Not heard anything for a while. He would be class. {Ed025's Note - he would be, but im not holding my breath..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would their keeper playing well not mean them getting Baines?

Ed who do think will be first choice this season Joel or Howard? And when does the USA tournament start? {Ed025's Note - howard....and late july ..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Howard will start the season as no. 1 question is who will end the season as first choice

Ed how come you're not interested in ince? From what I have seen he is a class act?

Stan {Ed025's Note - he has a head bigger than birkenhead stan...one to avoid for me mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spot on ed, he's just like his arl fella the self styled governer, only difference being father could actually play a bit.

Chalobah says he wants to move to a prem team on loan. Would be decent I suppose for everton. Any thoughts ed? {Ed052's Note - He's not good enough, well, consistent enough for a top end Prem team}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Chalobah is an impressive young talent and would be a quality loan signing. We need cover in midfield and he would fill that gap this season at low cost. Good shout.

Nah inconsistent and unproven

Anyone who watched Watford last year would beg to differ. Gunna be a top player.

See he's still living off that long range goal last year eh tbh lucas piazon is someone I'd take in a heartbeat he is a special talent it won't happen but he's better than chalobah

Agree0 Disagree0

I was 4th poster. I'm going off the fact in his first full season he played over 35 games as a def mid, scored 5 goals. And nearly got promoted to the premier league. And after that he has represented his country at every youth level and was one of the few young English players who actually looked half decent.

Apparently Ince is set for a move to the prem. his dad has told him "he's ready to make it in the big time", and his preferred destinations are Everton and Swansea because of their style of football. My opinion is he's good but not sure if he's good enough for the prem. I'd rather sign Atsu

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not worth the 8m quoted, and do we really need another winger?

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta pffft played his last season 4 us like David batty, only passed sideways and backwadrs

The post about Gibson drew a big response and quite right to. Gibson could be the next Peter Reid but I thought he was due to have surgery on his thigh that kept him out of some games. Has he had treatment and is he now expected to be clear of the niggling injurie he had anyone know. thgfest

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He might be the next Peter Reid but he is not the next Arteta. We still haven't replaced the Spanish magician.

The press seem convinced RM is looking for a reasonably priced wide player this window - in the past 4 weeks I've seen links with McGeady, Moses, Cheryshev, Sinclair, Ince, Dyer and Atsu. I get the feeling Ince is keen to come (he isn't up for a relegation battle so he turned down Cardiff, plus he wants to stay in the North). Moses is the one I'd take, but do we even need a new winger at all? What do people think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No, we need a creative midfielder, and before you all say Gibbo. The lad has and always will have injury problems, so we can't just rely on him. We need someone who could drive us forward. Oh for another Bally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Twoold, but not because Gibbo is a bit unreliable in terms of injuries, but because I think although his passing range is exceptional, he's not the right for for a 'creative midfielder'. We have still never replaced Arteta, and that's the kind of player we need. Someone like Honda would be perfect.

IMO, of course.

Murf

Agree0 Disagree0

Think gibbos quality but we need back up/competition for him and felli

Just a quick one lads. I've just had an email of Everton advertising the new kit. It has Super Kev, Ozzy, Bainsy and Howard sporting the kit. I find this interesting because if I was going to sell Bainsy, I wouldn't be advertising him in the new kit. Just my opinion.

Thoughts? Maybe I'm looking too much in to it.

Everton Al.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Baines was never going to go felli might suprised he's not kit modelling

Agree0 Disagree0

They still have to move forward ie advertising kits etc, they can't not do things incase someone puts an offer in, if baines goes they will change the advert

Agree0 Disagree0

Bale was featured wearing the new Spurs home kit in a press conference a few weeks ago. Is it a show of faith or a contractual obligation?
