Apparently the hold up with the Mata move is because UTDs pens don't work.

Well that team isn't happening mate, lukaku will play, probably be in the back pocket of on of their defenders so i'm predicting 1-1 with naismith getting our only goal
We have to use this game to get lukaku firing again, strikers thrive on scoring and the confidence it brings be great if he could bag a couple b4 the derby

Traore deal complete. This in the past would have worried me. I would have thought. here we go again, lumping high balls into the middle. However, under RM I am happy to say I am confident we will continue playing mainly on the ground. That is one thing I am sure about.
After watching his videos his game doesn't revolve around his height.
He seems to be deceptively good at dribbling and his size just adds a phsical presence to his game like Lukaku, his sheer size will scare defenders into backing off giving him more time on the ball
Agree, he is very skilful and also fast so I don't see that we bought him for his height. Martinez said that as well sa playing number 9 he can also play behind the striker offering other options. Just need to get him fit now which will be a few weeks according to El Bob

I'm sure someone mentioned why, possibly, this may be dragging on a bit. Once a signing is announced (Traore) then it's very likely Baines new contract will be announced at the same time, or very shortly after. This is the most likely explanation for the apparent deadlock, IMO.
Sorry that's more a guess than an opinion but it makes sense, at least to me.

Possibly also waiting for Barkley to sign a new deal to announce them together
Contract negotiations are a private matter between the club and particularly the individual. The club would be remiss to make any comment on them untill they are complete to protect the confidential nature of them.

This traore transfer is dragging abit now! Either Monaco are still willing to loan or they are not! Why is there no news either way! If they are dragging there heels then we should say we want an answer by today or we will call it off and get someone else in while we still have time!
Si, it is frustrating mate but we don't have to show our hand to Monaco in that way. It's probably best to line up the next one quietly in the background and then if anything does go wrong we'll just wheel in plan b. Simples
Agreed i'm sure RM has a shortlist of 3 or 4 potentials, if one falls through then move on.
Monaco are trying to bring another striker in as a stop gap as they think it is best for Traore to come to the PL to get fit and play every game as won't get a game when Falcao is fit again. If they can't bring in anyone they'll have to retain him.

How long does it take for Monaco to pick the phone up and say yes or no to traore coming in? We know Falcao is injured and they need cover. There's a week left of the window if we leave it much longer we ain't going to get anyone in. Thoughts folks?

Arsenal target vucinic has been lined up by Monaco to cover falcao. Means 2 things. 1.Traore move still on 2.Monaco really don't rate him.
So they sign a player for a few million quid cause they don't rate him? Makes sense.

Don't get me wrong I like Martinez being so open and frank, but he seems to get rolled out every day for his comments and views on just about very football topic . just want to see him after we've won games or we've signed players or contracted players . end of!
