fellow toffees. stop concerning yourselfs with what players are coming in this summer. that's only going to happen if we have one star man. davie moyes. is he he going to sign a new contract? that's our main concern. {Ed025's Note - i think he will smithy..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Honestly yes he will stay unless a really big club come in for him and offer him a blank check book, we are a big club aswell, but the only difference is we don't have a blank check book, we have a blank bank account, seriously though Moyes will be in our dug out next season. Stef the blue

The way I see it is moyes wants money to rebuild the squad. If we hear that he is staying happy days there's money available
and we can look forward to a few new faces over the summer.
If on the other hand he walks that's means that very little money is available. In my own head i'd like to think with sales plus tv money we could have 35 mil plus

I agree with you totally Pad, if he says he is staying then it means we have cash to spend, if he leaves then we can all start to worry as money will be tight.

Agree0 Disagree0

These figures are pulled out of thin air so please don't rip me to shreds over them. hypothetically.

If we sold Baines to Utd for £20m, Felli for £20m, and got £30m extra from TV revenue = £70m.

Would you pay off the club debt £45m and have a transfer kitty of £25m to add a few new faces, so that the club would be more attractive to potential investors? Debt free with a decent squad. what u reckon?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2013 12:13:24
Not a decent squad for me with Baines gone mate, we could manage with Felli gone but not Baines.

Don't see why people want Lescott as he wanted to leave for the money

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Come on mate, I would leave my job tomorrow if someone doubled my wages, there is no loyalty when money is involved anywhere in the world.

I would have him back tomorrow

There was me thinking players went to Manchester for the climate!

Agree0 Disagree0

You don't think Everton tried to make it look like he wanted to leave a bit like the Rooney situation let's be fair the fee was ridiculously high

Agree0 Disagree0

I would welcome Lescott back with open arms.

If we start getting like kids in the playground every time a guy wants to move on so be it.

However if that same guy whoever he may be decides he would like to wear our sacred Blue with pride again, we as fans would simply be ' cutting of our noses to spite our faces'
if we didn't give him a sporting chance to redeem himself.

Blue247 {Ed025's Note - sounds fair to me 247..

Agree0 Disagree0

Him and Jags look so good together. For Everton and England! That's worth remembering.
Degsypulford

Agree0 Disagree0

He left under a dark cloud and really didn't look interested against arsenal that fateful day, but he is quality and I would imagine would look to prove himself to us fans if he were to return.

I would definitely have him back if the price was right.

Toffee ace {Ed025's Note - me too ace..

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to remember he is an England international allegedly available at a quite reasonable price, one even we could afford. He still has 3 seasons left in him, even more perhaps, look at Distin!.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh he would be top of the list to sign in the summer, was a great player for us and the partnership between him and jags was one of the best in the league

Players which I think we should go for this season:
Benteke-12-15
De Vrij or Van Djik-abput 5-7
Honda-5
Capoue-8
Strootman-10
Cornelius (not sure about spelling)-3-5
Loan a winger (not too sure who though-any suggestions?)

Also Clasie/rodriguez (southampton, would be decent.

Fellaini: 25
Heitinga:2-3
Geuye:2-3
Naismith-3

Note: the prices are estimates.

£33 in / £45 out.

I know we do not have a lot of cash but we did go for Fer and Negredo (possibily may have only got one or other) and Moyes stated that this was not coming out of any future sales. I know words are not concrete but it is the best we can go off at the moment. The only issue may be the wages. Also if we get champions league football we would have to look at quantity a bit more than quality. This would be brilliant though if we could pull it off. My hopes are not strong though.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You're in dreamland if you think we can capture Strootman for £10mil and even more so to get £3mil for Naismith!

Agree0 Disagree0

£3m for Naismith? You'd be lucky to get 3 chocolate buttons for him!

Agree0 Disagree0

My, apoligies, how much would Strootman cost, 15?

Snippet off the web Blues

Everton are giving a trial to South African midfielder Daylon Claasen.

The skilful 23-year-old was a former target for Mark Hughes at Queens Park Rangers and is hoping to finally earn his breakthrough Premier League move by impressing David Moyes.

Claasen plays for Belgian side Lierse but is out of contract in the summer with other English clubs also showing interest.

Like Everton midfielder and compatriot Steven Pienaar, Claasen started his career at Ajax Cape Town before signing for Ajax in Holland after trial spells with Real Madrid and Espanyol.

He's probably not that good but I'm excited by this, from what I've seen he can play on either wing or behind the striker, could be a decent buy as he is free in the summer, its not only that but he is another body which is what we need more than anything, I know its not a done deal but I'll gladly accept him if he would like to join.

what are the chances of us signing messi? maybe if we sell hibbo we'll have the money

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Apr 2013 19:33:49
1. It was not funny.
2. Why mention Hibbo? Hate the way some people treat him like Heskey as abit of a comical joke, he's not a bad player, decent defender, I've seen worse right backs. {Ed025's Note - so have i phil..

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the Hibbert jokes, but I also love hibbert. I think he is a great defender and a true blue!

Here's what i'm hoping for in the summer. after we secure our 5th spot!

I think Fellaini is going to go as well as Gueye, Heitinga and of course Neville. Fellaini, Heitinga and Neville are some of our highest earners so from them they should be able to cover 4 new players' contract to come in. And then we have 4M extra that we are allowed to spend under the fair play ruling if my understanding is correct. So we should be fine to cover 4-6 players coming in with those 3 leaving.

Fellaini >23M
Heitinga 4M
Gueye 1-2M
Neville free
+ the money we didn't spend in January which seems about 8M from what we've heard about Fer
+ TV money

So counting in money to the bank we should have at least 30M

In
- Sinclair 5M
- Fer 8M
- Cornelius 5M
- Martins Indi 6M
- Honda (hard to say with only 6 months left on his contact)

They would all be huge ins on their own so i'd be surprised if we could pull that off but dream big.

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Gibson Fer
Mirallas Honda Sinclair
Anichebe

Mucha
Stones
Martins Indi
Oviedo
Barkley
Osman
Pienaar
Jelavic
Cornelius

Plenty of options there in all parts of the field.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nice suggestions and I would be very happy if this were true, but I slightly disagree with the line up. I cannot see us spending 5 and 6 mil on a player only for them to sit on the bench.
