Ideal 1st premiere league debut for Kenny
Hope I'm wrong but not sure how strong seamus will come back after his horrific injury so need to give jonjo as much play time as possible.

Team hard to predict but seeing as I seem to be on the opposite end of the spectrum form Skylark on here in terms of optimism. I'm going a 2-0 win. Two at least.

I'm a big Everton fan from Swansea. I have the discussion regularly to Swansea fans that Ashley liability Williams' days have come and gone. Makes too many mistakes and is painful to watch! They all say they would have him back in a heart beat! Il pay his bus fare! But why Ronnie keeps playing him is beyond me!

Managers no matter who, always have their favourites. For instance any Team in the World I would suggest would have Matic in their side, as Mourino says he was amazed that Chelsea let him go. We all have our opinions but we are not paid the big bucks and cannot be sacked. Koeman is still the Manager for us and will get it right but if he doesn't Moshri will get rid.

Good example of Magic bigduncansmum. Top player, surprised myself how easily he was let go and even for how much compared to others.

Just had a discussion with friends in work and thought it was interesting enough to debate on here.
We all know Champions League is the superior European competition to be in, but, what would be considered the better result. Man Utd won the Europa, or say Spurs who didn't get past the group stage in CL?
Naturally the best teams to play against and big money lies with CL but isn't winning Europa a bigger celebration?
Hypothetically, if you were told at the start of the season, Everton can play in CL but won't get out of the group, or can play Europa and will win the tournament, what would you prefer?
Personally it would be a dream to see us play against Barca, PSG etc but I'd be so depressed seeing us get spanked. To lift the Europa cup, albeit the second tier competition, would be my choice of options.

{Ed001's Note - surely there is no debate when winning the lesser trophy gives entry into the bigger trophy for the following season?}
22 Sep 2017 18:28:29
Winning a trophy. Every single time. For owners it's being in the competitions that pay the most but for fans and the club's prestige it's all about silverware. Winning trophies also breeds winning trophies and is more likely to be a springboard to success.
Whats the point in record books if you're never in it?

Its a nice prize to aim for ed01, plus a glamour match of the super cup. Take away thoughts of qualification for the CL by winning and hypothetically just base it on whether its more appealing to play against Barca, Madrid and the likes or win a trophy?
Agree0

{Ed001's Note - ah ok sorry. In that case surely the aim of sport is to win things? You have to go for the trophy imo.}

Worcester EFC, going along with your hypothesis, Everton need to get their act together, after losing 3-0 to an average side what does that make us.

Wtf bigduncsmum. It was nothing to do with team performances or having a dig at the team. Either you're a troll who loves to constantly bitch about us or just an imbecile looking for an argument. I 100% guarantee you'll be posting crap about the club even though we got the result today!

Oumar niasse in echo
"You have to live with that and be the nicest person you can be, work hard, be a professional and, even if you're under-18, under-23 or with the first team, you have to work hard. That's what I think is the best thing to do. "

he said he was told that the reason we didn't sign a striker was because Bill Kenwright pulled the plug at the last minute.

The obvious failure to bring in a striker has hit Koemans ambitions hard. If we had brought in someone decent then I would expect us to get some kind of positive results instead of the disappointment we have had so far. As it is January is looking as if it will be the start of our season (supposing of course we have identified and can persuade someone to come to us) instead of halfway through.

We are missing there pace bad, I know we didn't see much of bolasie but he showed us enough to know that he's got everything we are missing alongside seamus, we have had no joy down either wing and personally I think him an lookman switching wings, you would see a totally different and better style of play.

Also I don't like saying this but when Liverpool produce good performances it's purely down to the fact that they have serous pace, they have it all over the pitch especially the wongs.
