It would be nice to see to strikers with Richarlison on one wing and Bernard on the other. And give Antony Gordon a game in the centre of midfield, because non of the others have done anything to keep their places.

Just feel he has the skill and intelligence to create better from a more central role Ed. He is certainly better than Siggy is.

{Ed025's Note - he cant be any worse than siggy scouser thats for sure, he just seems too lightweight for me and seems to come off second best in any challenges, he is skillful but im yet to be convinced that the premier league suits him mate..

The few times Bernard has moved inside he has been incisive in the 10 position, better than Iwobi. I think though that Siggy has not had the freedom (space) to operate. Now we have a proven successful Manager though, these problems will be solved but not overnight. Yes I am advocating patience and time.

Well Ancelotti favours a 442 so unless he's playing a diamond (which is doubtful as we have no central midfielders) then i can't see a place for a 10 or Siggy.

Excited by the appointment of Carlo. Just a note of caution that I hope we just don't throw shed loads of money at manager and players and we end up like a Leeds. We need to be progressive at developing the squad and cautious with our expectations. Carlo is quality manager who will use the rest of this season to learn about the squad and youth set up and see what he needs. I really hope he doesn't just buy loads of players but he looks to the kids to see if any quality can be brought into the first team.
Come on Carlo, make us great again. Don't let it be your last big payday and we become a laughing stock if you fail.

Carlo is a manager that won’t spend just cause there is money he is used to having big budgets, unlike koeman and Silva, he will buy the right players, key things to do at moment will be temporarily fixing that midfield till end of season, getting defence tight as unit and getting Sigurdsson into areas where he can do his thing.
Moise Kean is interesting one and I do believe that was more a Brands buy than Silva, but if anyone can get best out of him then it will be Carlo.

The only area Sigurdsson should be is the bench or another club. Laziest player in the prem. can't believe he was captain yesterday. Hardly led by example.

Swimbo just told me apparently one of the conditions Carlo had for joining us, was a couple of transfers. I hadn't heard that one. Does anyone know if what she says is fact and if so who are the transfers.

Not sure if you have a flutter Ed025, but normally when a player is going through a tough time, they normally pop up with a goal, have a little punt on Siggerson to score against Burnley, you just know he will.

Feels a bit like when Juninho and Emerson signed for Middlesbrough. hard to believe but thrilled.
I just hope he has come for football reasons. if so we could be entering a whole new unique era that leaves a legacy!

Hard to fathom the jump from Silva to Ancelotti as it's like going from Michael Branch to Sergio Aguero but I am both excited and grateful for the journey we are about to go on!

We are ravaged with injuries so I wouldn’t expect a massive cull in January. Maybe the summer. There are clearly players needed to move on but for the ones on high wages etc, that may be a difficult task. It might be a simple case of finding systems that make better use of players currently not performing and turning their performances around. But of course there will be some just not fancied by CA.

An exciting appointment for sure. Now let’s see what happens in the next game against Burnley.
