Why is everyone so keen to ship Gibson off to QPR all of a sudden? Or anywhere else for that matter? I know he's been really unfortunate with injuries and quite regularly, but while this can be quite frustrating for some fans, when Gibson has played, he's been an absolute rock. I'd like to see him play in Europa league this season and prove some boo boys wrong!

As good as Gibson can be if he's can't play its pointless, we have to many games and too small a squad to allow for that

Trouble is you wouldn't get that much for him given his injury record and would cost considerably more to bring in a better player

So I see the reds have insisted that Ballotelli signs a 'must be a good boy and behave myself' clause into his contract. This is a little like insisting that Suarez had a double helping of his pre-match meals to avoid becoming 'hungry' in the second half of matches. You have to laugh along with those loveable reds. It will all end in tears once again, you wait!

They have gambled big time, he's not let's say a torch bearer for squad morale

Some posters have mentioned Holtby as a possible transfer target, but would have noted that he played for Tottenham in their UEFA Europa League play-off round first leg match yesterday. However, he wouldn't be "cup-tied" if he joined us because of rule 18.07 in the UEFA Europa League regulations, which states:
"As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage."
I'm not sure that he's a player we need - let alone have a genuine interest in - but I thought I'd pass on the information about eligibility. :-)

Looks like eto and balotelli are off to the reds. there's rumours lukaku is injured and kone is weeks away from fitness. Please bobby go and get remy before someone else does.

Martinez has revealed that it was an accident involving Gareth Barry that caused Barkley's injury. Accidents happen, fair enough but Gaz Baz sidelined Rom last season by standing on his foot, so here's hoping that he can make it through the season without accidentally slamming Pienaar's peanuts in a car door. ;)
