Heres a thought after today. This is probably dreamland. Lewis Holtby come january has 6 months left on contract could be snapped up for a few mil. Also if brugge were willing to let ofoe come on loan hopefully a loan could be sorted.
That would really make a statement.

Point, away, with 10 men, ( 9 if you don't count victor) plus another piss poor ref, not that bad, only real disapointment is that penuts cannot play aginst r/s.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Haven't posted before but followed blues since 1964, based on today you got to think that it's a mediocre top ten table finish again, if you fellaini doen't play they're not good enough and you can't base a team on one man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't he only be suspended if it were a straight red? Seem to recall Adam getting two yellows in their capitulation against Spuds last season and not only played, but scored in their very next game!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think it's fair to say we're a one man team, we have several quality players, though Fellaini is the focal point in the main, and makes us tick and function better as a team. Then again you're entitled to your opinion just as much as the next man, old bean

Total ineffective non-performance today not deserving of the point gained.
What is really difficult to understand is the team selection and tactics?
Why sacrifice the Baines, Pienaar left side partnership, our most productive attacking threat to accommodate Anichebe??
Once again the midfield of Neville and Osman was found patently wanting, with neither player offering defensive cover for the back four or showing any degree of creativity in attacking options.
I'm afraid Coleman is lacking in defensive position play and he was fortunate not to have a penalty awarded against him late on in the game.
Whilst we can carry Osman when we are the running the game, DM and the coaching staff should be aware we cannot hope to control, let alone win, games with no midfield and Anichebe and Coleman in the starting line up.
Thankfully Phil and Sylvain manfully repelled QPR on their own.
Fancy Smith

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Nah right wing isent anichebes position hes a striker you wouldnt put jelavixc in right mid would you i felt sorry for anichebe he needs to play as a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't really be that harsh on Osman in my opinion. He has had to change his game since Neville has been in midfield, when he was in the middle with Gibson he had the freedom mainly playing in the final third linking up with Pienaar, Baines, Mirallas and Fellaini.
Since Neville has been there Osman is almost doing 2 jobs, his own and helping Neville cover positions and tracking back.
That's why lately he has not been as effective

THIS should be the team next sunday -
.....................Howard...................
Hibbert.....Jagielka.......Heitinga....Baines..
Naismith.....Gibson........Osman....Mirallas..
.................... Fellaini.....................
.....................Jelavic..................
Subs-
Mucha
Oviedo
Hitzlsberger
Distin
Coleman
Anichebe
Duffy

ToffeeMike

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I'd have Distin ahead of Johnny personally, though Distin does look like he has a mistake in him at any given moment, but I thought he was immense again today

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we not appeal the red card

Agree0 Disagree0

No; it was 2 yellows.

5 away games from first 8 played - and after derby we'll have had manu liverpool and newcastle at home - so a decent points haul from not an easy start to season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am getting worried with the injuries and suspensions mounting up, anichebe is so rubbish its unreal and if anybody defends him then they dont know much about football. God 2 weeks ago i was really looking forward to the derby but now am not because i know moyes will pick a defensive team against the worst liverpool team i have ever seen. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you worried yes we did not play well today but did not loose with a hard earned point if you want to get into Europe and challenge top 4 it's games like that you grind out a point rather than no points, Arsenal got nothing yesterday and just like us today away against teams who have not won and sooner or later they will win so I'm happy with a point because we were poor remember we should have 2 more points than we have robbed against Newcastle and sat 4th in prem after 1 lose in 8 prem matches and your not happy being on Liverpool because moyes will be up for that one but form does go out the window stop Suarez and we will win

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont no much about football give yourself a break terry anichebe is a striker not a right winger so hes played out of position it was unfair of you to judge him on todays performace since janurary he has a better strike rate to jelavic yeh but i dont no much about football ha

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant see DM pickng a defensive side against the RS as we dont have a defensive side to pick! Hopefully Gibson and Felli will be back to give us the drive we need to batter them. Look guys we are stitting 4th on 15 points after 8 games! Okay our performances have dropped slightly but weve had a couple of injuries to key players. So when they get back we should get back to our best and start to challenge the big spenders again. Comon guys lets be positive and if your having trouble, think back to where we where at this time last season and if that doesn't put a smile back on to your face well you might as well go hang yourself. how did chelski do against qpr

Agree0 Disagree0

You sad chelsea t-t, yes we were crap today and we will be the first to admit that but soft lad you are top of the league you have spent probally close to 800 million in the last 7-8 years and yet you come on are pages when we play bad, you really are a sad little muppet who probally only supported chelsea when roman bought you clowns, are you at home this weekend if so you might get one of them silly little flags your club have to give you to wave ha ha ha remember t-t roman wont be there forever. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's this halfwit again ? Billy no doubt

Agree0 Disagree0

Embarassed ourselves? That team cost a little more than half a Torres and we were up against 12 men for the last half hour. Granted we had an off day. I suggest it is you who should be embarassed but then again you are Chelski, hence no shame. You drew there too you person, oh I forgot chelski have short memories as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

U drew nil nil this season with 11 players .ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Remind me what RDM did with a team with a similar budget to Everton...yes, he got sacked. Money, that's all you have going for you as a 'club' ! When that dries up you'll end up another statistic, along with the Pompey's, Rangers et al

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure it was at QPR where your clubs reputation was quite literally destroyed in this country. The rest of Europe, see you as a complete joke given how you won the champs league. With your 8-1-1 formation.

A good point under the circumstances. We are in the top four after 8 games who wouldn't have taken that in August?

Fellaini needs to be fit for next Sunday.

yet another ref disaster against us - Moyes must start ranting about it - not being mr nice n understanding

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I didnt go today but did you see phil dowd go to moyes and tell him hes told him one more and hes off so what does moyes do turn away from him and do f**k all and then he goes for a non foul but we know you cant appeal two yellow cards so i think were just gonna put up with no piennar for the derby but why did he play neville and osman centre midfield when one clearly is passed his sell buy date and the other too weak plus our best attacking duo are then pulled out of position by yet another stupid tactical decision and playing victor wide right was a joke i dont get moysie some times but he wont come out and tell us he got it wrong plus how many deflected own goals are we going to concede 6 last season but that come from another mistake from neville just like wigas second goal the other week

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Very very lucky not to give away a pen - the guy is rubbish

We need Naismith on - Jellavic is getting no service

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Oct 2012 16:54:17
I think the Sky 4 are threatened by us this season ! Why else the dodgy decisions. That's 3/4 pens not given in the last game and a half. The refs must have strict instructions to keep the 'big 4' where they are. I can see no other reason(s)

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Absolutely ridiculous decision on pienaar - he does nothing - ref just wanted to give him a yellow after the jump before it didn't warrant it - the ref was itching to give him a yellow

Agree0 Disagree0

I concur. If anything Bosingwa kicked Peanuts. Frickin' refs are extracting the urine. We should definitely complain, look what happened when Martinez did he got an offside goal...against us

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2012 16:53:50
We are struggling very badly being out muscled all over anichebe is a league 2 forward he is garbage Neville is also well past starting 11 the whole team just look abit rubbish lets hope moyes can work magic jags is our best player

Terrible first half display.

Jay EFC

I'll take that all things considered. Should have had a pen against us and 10 men for the last half hour or so.

21 Oct 2012 16:39:32
This is getting ridiculous one of Wigans goals last time out was offside as well as numerous penalty claims turned down, two goals disallowed against newcastle a couple of weeks earlier and now a clear penalty claim turned down we should make a complaint to the league.

Can someone please explain why moyes keeps playing Neville in midfield when we have got other options involving better players

Andy

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He's awful going forward but I think he gives us a bit more protection in front of back 4 than others imo

Agree0 Disagree0

Who exactly?

Agree0 Disagree0

P Nev compared to the limited options available to us at this moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree on the neville post.been a good servant and a good captain but at best an average player.imo its time to hang his boots up if he doesnt then when everyones fit there is no way he should be allowed near the first team anymore.jimmy

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2012 16:06:53
That's twice in the first 3 minutes Neville's given the ball away, the second of which led directly to their goal. Enough's enough, we have to look at other options in the middle.
Moody Blue

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hitzleberger needs playin to calm midfield we are gettin run ragged! Neville just doesn't cut it!

Ant Wharton

He couldn't do any worse Ant.

We are playing another very attack minded team today. QPR are only playing one up front. I hope we don't get overrun in midfield.

They are clearly worried about us, we need a fast start and plenty of possession. Could be a real battle.

EDS - why am I getting adverts for united on my page?

I know it's a cookie thing but I've been NO WHERE near anything to do with united!!

maybe there's a secret red in my house you may say...... there's only the wife and me, the kids are too young yet......

Wifies getting some words soon.

Gods Doctor {Ed001's Note - that is purely bad advertising, the advertisers have not narrowed down their fields sufficiently. What they have done is aimed at football, rather than tried to aim at purely United fans. At least you won't be tempted to spend money on it!}

Moyes predicts Rooney return later in his career ....and that the striker would be more than happy to were the blue shirt again ..only question is how long do we wait and do the fans really want him back personally i would welcome him .stef the blue ps as long as were not his pension club

Believable2 Unbelievable0

He will return when he is about 37 and his knees are knackered.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

If I had a choice to take any one player back it would have to be Arteta though I'd also take Rooney in a heartbeat. Still think he's vastly over-rated by tabloids and pundits but he'd do a job for us

Agree0 Disagree0

The media circus and tv and sponsorship for say the last 3 years of his career would put us firmly back on the map ..so bring it on ..tp.

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted this the other day and to reiterate I think he will get better still with age and I honestly believe he's still a blue. If he is tho he should engineer his own move. He's already won everything at club level and that is what he left us to do so I personally don't hold any grudge

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike good one ..lol .Stef the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will actually come back, his contract expires at United when he is 30, he will probably get the usual 2 year extension that Fergie gives 30 year old's then he will return.

21 Oct 2012 15:21:57

Naismith in or Anichebe?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Both are useless, so neither.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Big Vic for me on current form, although I'm not his biggest fan by a long chalk but he seems to be getting his head down a bit more now and knuckling down. Naismith seems out of his depth at the moment but given time I'm sure he'll come good for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Anichabie played well with Jelly last time around, Naismith still findinf his feet and with pienarr and mirrallas in his positions, he'll have trouble.

Could play Naismith on the right with mirallas behind the striker (new fellani role) then sub him for Anichabi, popping mirrallas over to the right.

Gods Doctor

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit harsh on Naismith that Mike! The lad only came down to us a couple of months ago and has only started 3 games. He was decent against Villa and Leyton Orient and poor in the league cup against Leeds but against Leeds everyone was poor. Give him a chance.
