Silva has gone 8/ 11 with the bookies, DU now 5/ 1 you think somethings going to happen shortly eds?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Ignore bookies odds mate, the market's manipulated to maximise the sneaky bams income, someone else will be favourite by Saturday unless you appoint someone before then which I think's unlikely.}

21 Nov 2017 21:54:49
I predict Everton 5 Atalanta 0 Thursday. Pointless but could be a huge confidence boost for Sunday.

We don't do nils.

21 Nov 2017 22:45:05
Ditto Woburnblue and we certainly do not do 5 - 0's. Maybe it will look that way about 11 PM Thursday.

21 Nov 2017 23:16:28
We don’t do 5s either.

We haven't done any W's in the Europa league this time around either.

Re diving and not just the Naisse incident.
I think the FA should use a situation similar to cricket with the third umpire .
If the ref does give a penalty and there is ANY DOUBT then the fa panel decision would stay with the ref
If on the other hand there is absolutely no contact and he gives a pen then the decision is overturned and player banned.
Obviously if the ref does not give it and the player is tackled perhaps the ref should be banned. !
It just highlights how far behind football is with technology because even if they do use something similar it's still not on the day and the damage is done for ever.

22 Nov 2017 14:11:10
Don't see the problem with video referees, sure people say itvwould slow the game down but just have decisions on key incidents such as penalty's, sendings off and goals (was it offside etc) . Would only take a moment to review these things, they would probably be done by the time the players finished celebrating. Agree with the above too.

21 Nov 2017 18:18:53
Forget all the nonsense re the Niasse dive from the posts below, of far more concern to me is the fact we have shipped 18 goals in 7 games, that is truly awful, if we are going to stay in the Premiership this has to addressed now before its too late, we need a manager pronto even if its Big Sam I don't really care or it will be our Nemesis.

Good point mate, amazing how badly Keane, Williams and Jags have been considering they are all premier league defenders and have been for a while, Holgate and Keane for me.

Agree3 Disagree3

21 Nov 2017 21:54:20
Bought the wrong defender from Burnley, they snatched our hand off, Williams has been awful, Jags like Bainsy legs have gone. We are in a right pickle. For a whole side to lose form for this long, must be unprecedented but needs rectifying fast. Those that travel will testify that the support is still as loud as ever but the Team does not live up to the billing. Keep hoping that we will start to turn it on, what else is there to do.

Agree3 Disagree0

21 Nov 2017 22:53:42
We do need a manager that's knows how to defend badly. Silva? Not known for his defensive traits. Don't care who it is as long as he knows how to set a defense.

I have heard that Rafa has threatened to leave Newcastle if the offer to Mike Ashley of 300 M is turned down as he is expecting a big war chest in Jan and Aug
Perhaps it is a opportunity to become available?

21 Nov 2017 19:21:50
I don't think he would turn us down and he certainly doesn't want 2 relegations on his CV. I think he knows the takeover isn't going to happen till after the window but he also knows if he doesn't strengthen they will probably go down.

Remember him at Goodison 1966, if I remember right he was kick of the field, you got away with it in them days.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate he was, my uncle is the one that you can see in the film Goal walking off with him after putting a blanket around his shoulders and the pair of them are in tears together. No idea why my uncle was crying but still it is his sole claim to fame, other than that he knows me....}

Claim to fame. Played against Pele (well on the same pitch for 90 minutes) combined services about 1971 or 2.

21 Nov 2017 12:45:41
People need to wake up I keep hearing and seeing polls from fans saying they don't want Silva they don't want dyche . moyes or even van gaal because of there style of play. No top manager is coming here right now. Personally I would take Mickey mouse as long as he saves us as right now that's what we need very worried blue don't mean to be negative but we need something sorting fast.

21 Nov 2017 13:53:47

21 Nov 2017 19:01:14
How can anyone disagree with that post must be a deluded red then as what top manager would take over right now? Apart from van gaal who else that has been linked won anything?

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Nov 2017 12:35:59
Absolute joke that Niasse has been charged and the bias people can go away, Shearer always harping on about "if there's contact he has every right to go down" but when Niasse does it "he's clearly dived and should be punished", ah okay then mate

City have Sterling and Silva doing it, UTD have had Young doing it for years, Watford have Richarlson doing it but none of them ever get punished but Niasse does, absolute joke, corrupt at the FA, every single one of them.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2017 13:07:19
Well the bar has now been set at a very low height. The interesting part now is will this be maintained throughout the season?

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Nov 2017 14:34:14
No it will not. we are seen as an easy target and they are kicking us when we are down he was blocked anybody would of went down it is a bleeding joke does anyone know if he will be suspended and how long for?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2017 15:07:30
If he accepts charge it will be a 2 match suspension.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2017 15:31:45
They may have been doing it for years. But this is a new rule brought in this season. Niasse did dive, it is as simple as that. Mistakes will be made by referees and officials but those such as Young in particular will get found out. We need to take our rose tinted glasses off where Everton is concerned. I know everyone is frustrated but the reality is we are a middle of the table Club at the moment, things will not happen overnight. Even Koeman said it would take 2 years, that in my view was optimistic.

Agree2 Disagree1

21 Nov 2017 16:03:59
This will be a hot topic now for the next few months. I agree with ducksflysouth in that it was a dive and we can’t really complain. Time will tell whether it will be fair this season, but I don’t have an awful lot of faith that it will.

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Nov 2017 16:47:30
There was contact and he played on it, simple as that, it happens every other week with Man Who and city, one law for them and one law for the rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - A conspiracy of course.}

21 Nov 2017 17:17:49
So glad I followed your tip Ed002 😂

YNWA.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2017 11:47:14
Omar Naisse charged with diving
Talk about kicking you when you already down
Could get a 2 game ban.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2017 14:07:09
Everton need to appeal, simulation is when a player has clearly dived with no contact made, the ref pointed to the spot before Niasse just about hit the ground without appealing for a penalty, the ref was at fault if anyone, not the player, but knowing Everton they will accept the ban, unlike the top teams who would be fighting to get the ban overturned, easy target Everton but the fa have opened a can of worms in doing so.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is the player who needs to appeal not Everton so the dig against the club is unnecessary. As you are no doubt aware, it is only supporters of the Merseyside clubs that are delusional and paranoid about trivial matters like this. Suck it up and move on - the whining is embarrassing.}

21 Nov 2017 14:27:12
it's not whining ED02 it's called being fair and unfortunately Everton along with every club outside the top 6 get rubbish on I stand by my earlier comment if Niasse played for utd he wouldn't of been charged.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are delusional, it is not a conspiracy.}

21 Nov 2017 14:38:31
I remember Chelsea fans agreeing with Mourinho that there was a big conspiracy from the referees to not award fouls to Chelsea

happens all over the country, let's hope Niasse successfully appeals, that tackle could have broke his leg.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2017 15:22:22
so ED02 just have a quick look at royle blue Mersey on Twitter they have made a video that's shows 3 players diving this season to win pens but no action was taken against them i'm not saying there is a conspiracy against us your putting words in my mouth but it's hard to take when other players get away with it and it seems they can't wait to throw the book at us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are delusional and paranoid as well - and they need to suck it up and move on. Please tell them from me.}

21 Nov 2017 15:35:51
Contact was made but not enough to go down like that it was a dive and aslong as they keep doing this to every other club for the same type of situation everything will be fine. It’s the media who hype this stuff up though if it was an English player and he done tha he would have been “clever” to them and if he stayed on his feet he would of needed to be clever more aware of the game and go down because of the contact as Neville normally states. It’s done he dived we got the point let’s move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Nov 2017 16:06:31
Ok ................

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You constant whining and typing the same thing over and over again needs to stop now.}

21 Nov 2017 18:05:53
So a fans forum is not allowed to vent their feelings, if we do it’s whinging so much for free speech, if someone replies and we put our view across its repeating the same thing. You as an ed have the right to reply and have your views that’s fine, but we as Evertonians have a right to put across our views without being shot down, there’s no nasty ness in my posts but my opinion that dive or not contact was made and I stick by my opinion, you and others can disagree that’s fine, just because we disagree does not make that person correct or a whinge, it’s called having an opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are showing yourself to be a complete moron by typing the same ill informed nonsense over and over again. You are making yourself look more and more stupid and you are embarrassing the Everton fans that have something sensible to say. I am more than happy to remove you if you so wish - else, cut the repetitive trash.}

21 Nov 2017 11:12:50
so Niasse has been charged with simulation and I agree he definitely went down very easily but I remember watching the debate on sky sports and Chris Powell was on talking about how the simulation panel work as they where discussing a player diving in a earlier game (I can't remember which player it was) but he said even if there is min contact you can't charge the player with simulation now I'm sure Dann did put his arm across Niasse so surely they can't charge him with simulation my thoughts are if Niasse played for one of the top 6 he wouldn't of been charged but that's just my feelings on it.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Nov 2017 12:54:00
the other week Rodriguez didn't go down after contact against city, all the pundits said he should have gone down, yet the criticise Niasse for doing exactly that!
DOUBLE STANDARDS!

I wonder if any of the eds know if anybody has actually applied for the everton manager's vacancy or is it just the club who at the moment that has aproched potential candidates.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - as far as i can see skylark its everton that are looking for a manager rather than candidates looking for the everton job mate..

21 Nov 2017 12:46:37
I applied Skylark but haven't heard anything. fingers crossed.

Dutch football has run out of ideas, and so have Dutch managers, so silver if we can get him, but, Unsworth is a good coach, and hope we keep him, but he's no manager.
Thus the safe option is the guy from burnley, and as far as I know their is a fix price for his compensation 2.5m. think we can live with that.
