Ive been away a few days so couldn't respond re my Dark Clouds posts. A few said we were rubbish in the first half and brilliant in the second half. Well in my view Silva must be doing ok. Because last season we were rubbish in the first half and even more rubbish in the second half lol!

You're not wrong Degsy. I am still mentally scarred from last seasons so called football.
Silva has had them playing some good stuff at times, the average age of our 18 has dropped. Inconsistency is inevitable when the majority of our starting 11 are under 25.
Hopefully we can beat a couple more of the top 6 before the end of the season. That will breed some confidence into this young team.

Well against Newcastle we were good in the first half and terrible in the second half, so no consistency. Hopefully we can start to play well for 90 plus minutes and then we will be capable of a top six finish.

Can only repeat. Last Season we finished 8th playing rubbish football and with apparently inferior team. This Season with a better side we will be lucky to finish top half playing pretty football.

Well you get nothing for finishing 8th or 13th so let's keep the pretty football.
Allardyce is still out of a job which says it all.

Lets be real about it. We suffered terrible defensive injuries after Koeman had suffered a woefull transfer window by being let down by Giroud and Rooney deciding to return and yet no left sided players. The squad was disjointed and unbalanced and Siggy played mostly on the left wing. not his best position. So yes the new manager inherited a catastrophe in the making. He brought in players that were needed. He got us playing decent football at times. He made some mistakes. His defensive record re set pieces is awful. But hey let's give the bloke some credit for Bernard, Richarlison, Mina, Gomez and Digne. I expect a few more to leave and a few more to come in after this season. It's not great yet. but its certainly better than it was. Irrespective of league positions.

Hello guys.
I was wondering what the criteria for England selection is.
Not that I'm saying he is good enough yet but surely just based on games played in the top league Dominic calvert-lewin should be getting a look in. He has played 28 times in the league mostly starts compared to Hudson-odoi havering played.

Hudson Odoi is a winger, not a striker, Calvert Lewin hasn't really got a good strike rate has he, works hard but isn't scoring too many.

But at least he is playing and Contributing. My point wasn't why Hudson odoi instead of him. But why don't they look at players who play regularly.

Ask the England manager. I am sure he has a reason.

Really hope DCL does step up to the next level and gets to the England senior team, but you shouldn't get a England cap just by playing lots of games for your club.
