I'm amazed and chuffed not only at the players brought in for first team. but the changes made to the development of u23s and u18s its tremendous. Coupled with the loans out for the young lads like, browning and Galloway. shows what high regard the club have for those lads. and how they are trying to give them the development they need, whilst retaining them as Everton players. and hopefully bringing them back into the fold. this is the most dynamic I've seen the club in all my years! Whatever happens next season, the club is kicking on!

Everything looks great at the moment and expect us to spend much more this summer. We look well equipped without any more signings and there is no need to spend over the odds on players and can take our time with the next few signings.

The youth set up we have is exceptional and over the next few years we will have many more coming through.

Just for a second think on what our team may look like when we sit in our new stadium. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!

So with a few outs and Ross potentially leaving means there hasn't actually been any investment and again we are looking to balance the books when are fans going to wake up?

If we genuinely want to break into the top 4 monopoly we need bringing in more talent, why not spend £50 million on a proven striker instead of being linked with teams injured rejects or players who are not good enough to play week in week out in the current team who are battling for top 4, we should be signing players like VVD who is now asking for a move, and targeting strikers who are scoring goals instead of warming benches.

It is good to see players coming in but notice how it has stopped now the Lukaku money has been spent, seems to me that they were banking on Ross going so they could spend more I would like to be wrong but seems strange how it has all gone quiet, and finally £50 millions for Gylfi lol seriously when you can have the lad from Leicester who won player of the year 2 years ago for less and produces and scores more from open play but hey what do I know but interested to see what others think?

I've been reading this page for years, and this may be the most negative post I've seen. While we haven't spent a lot of money in net transfers, we have drastically increased our wage bill.

We have signed quality players who greatly improve the squad. Sandro is an absolute steal at 5 mil and offers everything Rom doesn't (movement, link up play, and ball control) . We've signed two England internationals for the next several years in Pickford and Keane who are improvements on Robles and Jags. Wayne Rooney brings the winning pedigree to our squad that has been missing since the 80, and I believe he has more left in the tank than many give him credit for.

Henry Okenyoro ( spelling? ) has the potential to be a premier league star. Davy Klaassen is a born leader who knows where the back of the net is. While Martina isn't the most exciting signing, Koeman trusts him which is good enough for me.

There have been several transfer windows on the past where having a moan was more than understandable (summer of 2011 and summer of 2015 are two of the bigger ones for me) but this window is the polar opposite.
The blue revolution is fully in swing, and I for one can't wait for the season to start.

Bloody hell, be happy mate we look a lot better then we did last year and just because we managed to get a few in early transfers can take time selling clubs will only sell when they have a replacement yes roms money has been spent but there is more just calm down.

what an absolute joke of a post the old we haven't spent any money moshiri is a fraud we have bought in 6 players I'm well happy with that and even if we have to wait till deadline day to bring anybody else in so be it our squad is much stronger than last season and I for one expect us to challenge top 4 and win a cup at least.

Are you sure you're an Evertonian DB7? Or are you just trolling these pages looking to make mischief?
As previous posters have already stated what a negative load of tripe your post is.
Other than a prestige sports car I can think of several other words DB may stand for.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 20:57:35
There is so much stupid in that post it's hard to know where to start. Do you have any understanding of squad sizes and restrictions on how many players can be registered for competitions?
Do you have any vague understanding of financial fair play? Do you have any knowledge on wage structures?
Do you not understand that we are what we are which essentially the best of the rest in the premier league so attracting players who would be sort after by others creates its own hurdles.
Do you know this isn't football manager 2017 with a unlimited money hack cheat?
Our squad is the strongest it's been in a long long time. Excluding Ross from that. Get a grip and wow I almost envy your ignorance it must be nice being that oblivious to everything.

I can see what he's trying to say, we new we were getting big money for Rom and spent all the money straight away, now we seem to have stopped, so basically we not spent any money, if Rom wasn't sold would we have still been able to go and spend 100 million, for me it's been a fantastic transfer window and if we can get a couple big names in, we are going to be a real force this season, think Giroud and gifi will put the icing on the cake, and for the record I don't agree with his comments.

My offer for Gylfi would be 43 mil upfront with add-ons, 5m for CL qualification, 1m League Cup, 1m FA Cup. Or something along those lines.

After up to now the best Everton Transfer Window I can remember, I cannot believe I am actually saying this. Would love for Sigurdson to come to our Club, he would become a legend I am sure in our midfield. Have Everton re-evaluated or decided 50 mill is just to much, does anyone know.

would take the boy from spain as an alternative, and put the 25m saved towards VVD.

What's in the pipe line, doesn't seem a lot happening at the moment, would like us to get gilfi, Giroud, and maybe the defender Gibson from borough, I think we would be in a very strong position to take anyone on.

Given our very difficult start to the season, what would be acceptable in the amount of points we amass in the first 5 games. Thoughts?

21 Jul 2017 15:06:14
I'd be happy with 7 or 8. 3 against stoke and hopefully get a win against one of the top teams away plus a draw or win against tottenham would be a good start. We could catch some of the big teams cold and get some points or then again we could struggle with so many new faces coming in.
What I do know is I will watch all those games with a certain degree of confidence that we can beat them and that has not been the case for quite a while now.

ed what think of kieran dowell mate, i can see him playing big part next season the rocket in tanzania the the way he took the goal against twente, is it just me or can i see a new kevin sheedy in the making!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - he is looking very good djr, as much as i would like to see the likes of him, ademola and tom in the side i very much doubt it, we have some great young talent at the club but i would expect initially that with all the in-comings that the new guys will be first choice, kieran looks to have a very bright future and i can see your comparison to sheeds mate and that would do me..

21 Jul 2017 10:39:27
I would like Dowell to get some game time this season (hopefully at us) . Hopefully it will be a case of 'if you're good enough you're old enough'. If he can get the same amount of game time as Davies did last season he could save us a fair bit of money, which can be used elsewhere e. g. new cb, new striker.

21 Jul 2017 14:40:02
I like him but he is miles away from being 1st team. He scores great goals but there is not much else which is what you would expect at his age.

He played mainly on the right wing in the world cup and was ineffect in a couple of those games.

Don't get me wrong I really think he has a great future but he needs baby steps and development over the coming season.
