United's bids for Baines keep getting lower. first it was 16 million then 14, then 12 million, now its 8 million. Is someone having a laugh? next thing you know we'll be paying Merchandise UTD to take him. Dream on you bunch of Manc dopes. Our left back aint for sale, go an bother someone else.
£8 million is about right for Baines.
It was 5 million at first actually
The Mirror said 5 million before any other values mate
efcbluesocks
His right leg. his left leg is worth 10 million.
tino
Man Utd fans are always wondering why no-one likes them or their their team. That 2nd post is a good example of why. They come on here spouting twaddle like that, but, God forbid, Bainsey did sign for them, they would immediately be valueing him at £20m.
It's the same thing with the England team. As soon as any player is at Mould Trafford they walk straight into the England team/squad. Phil Jones was a good example. At Blackburn he was an occasional squad member. As soon as he was a Utd player he's in the team! And people ask me why I a) hate United & b) don't support England!!
Here's hoping with every fibre of my being that Bainsey doesn't go there.

To the poster above...for gods sake go back to your own site. Whether you're a r/s or a manc no cares about your ridiculous opinion. Every everton fan knows full well how good Baines is and that he is definitely worth more than 8 million. FFS Ed if this guy tries to post "Baines is worth 8 million" again don't post it {Ed025's Note - i did not post the first one mate, there is no chance he would go for £8m..
Just a quick addition to my earlier post. I should have said "hope that Bainsey doesn't go there.....or anywhere!"
Toffee Tezza
This is a site for peoples opinion. I think Baines is worth about £8-10 million. If you dont agree, fair enough. No need to go crying to the eds about it.
These pages would become pretty boring if all that was posted were people's opinions. Just check the top of the page, it says "Everton Banter". That means having a chance to agree, disagree or just chat about people's opinions. In the case of this post, (I assume it's yours), I don't just disagree, I find your valuation rather insulting to a lad who's been fantastic for us since he arrived at the club. That's not going "crying to the Ed's", it is, in my view, "telling it like it is".
Toffee Tezza
Eight for bainesy dream on worth atleast thirteen all day
You're clearly not an evertonian if you think that though! So don't come on our site
I wasn't talking about you Tezza, I meant the clown who posted above you, who was moaning to the eds to stop people posting on here.
The clown? The clown? I'm the clown am I, I'm not the one who is completely underrating a quality player, I'm not the one on tab other clubs site and I am certainly not "crying to the eds". I do not want people like you coming on other clubs site and posting things like that. You're clearly not an evertonian if you think Baines is worth 8 million. Perhaps you're a united fan? Or a r/s? Either way, I'll take a leaf out of your book. I think 5 million is about right for Rooney and I thInk 3 million is a fair price for Suarez. Go back to whatever is your clubs site and stop posting ridiculous things on this page.
(oh and as for your claim that this is an opinion page, this is evertonrumours and everton banter, meaning that rumours and general everton related banter is posted-not much is based on opinion)
Put your dummy back in will you. Jeez. And as for not being about opinions, isn't it your opinion that Baines is worth more than £8 million ? {Ed025's Note - look mate...there are opinions...and theres just being plain stupid, its like us saying rooney is worth £2m..thats not realistic, and neither is £8m for baines...so if you have nothing worthwhile to say...jog on!!
No it's fact that baines is worth more than 8 million. as ed says JOG ON

A young lad named george green played today for reserves watch out for this lad going to be the next big thing
Yea I heard about him when we signed him from Bradford I think he is 15 I saw his back heel volley for youth are you sure it was reserves only that is a big step up ? How did he get on
Every one knows he is going to be the next big thing mate, when we signed him it was on Ssn coz we beat a Lot of teams to get him, he chose us because he said he would have more chance of playing for us
Is that 3rd post a backhanded complliment?
:)
22 Jul 2012 13:20:14
Didn't Barkley play (and score) for the reserves tonight aswell? that's what he put on twiter anyway. would be interesting to see how they both got on playing together
Toffeepidge
George green never played for the reserves
According to Alan Stubbs Green did play against Airdrie and we won 2-1. Goalscorers Barkley and Garbutt

I understand the obvious resentment towards Owen (being former reds***e) but if he stayed fit would score at least 10 goals a season...... thats 10 more than Acheibe (spelling), plus it would really really really piss off them who finish 8th if he banged in the goals for us and help us finish above them again........in short get him pay as you play, no harm done...
Bunks
Why is everyone slagging off Vic people forgot he was our second top scorer last season with 7 goals, not bad for half a season its a big year for him.
I thought Anichebe did well today playing wide left - his cross for Duffy's headed goal was lovely. Also cut inside and struck a good curling shot just wide - on another day it would have been a cracking goal. If he had more confidence - and luck - he surely would be a very good player. He seems like a great lad, but perhaps lacks the controlled aggression needed as a premier league player.
Cowpat Sid
Big vic has looked good in pre season so far as well
Everton Dave
I think from what i've seen in pre-season anichebe looks really up for it as last. he has been one of the best players so far
I'm not Victor's biggest fan, but Opta tweeted saying that he scored 4 goals with 5 shots on target last season, so he must be doing something right..?
Murf
He's played really well pre-season and who knew he had such a good delivery with corners and crosses in open play. I have never been his biggest fan but i did like him before Nolan tried to cripple him, long way back from that injury but maybe he has finally gotten back to where he would of been as a player if that assault had not happened. Good luck Vic.

liverpool fans saying would Newcastle be interested in a Cisse for Carroll straight swap and they call us dillusional also Pienaar to be wrapped up by mid-week [obviously] Blues who would you like to come in realisticly
paddock toffee
Santa Cruz,Crouch.
Roque Santa Cruz would be a decent punt, and maybe tryin to get Adam Johnson on loan, but if we were to try for him then it would have to be near the end of the window because Mancini's said that he will decide his team for the season after their pre-season
Murf
I think we will struggle to finish above the red s***e this year as they are apparently signing Robinio, Hulk, Ba, Sneidjer, Tevez and RVP!

He doesn't play for Motherwell
Yes he does ^
PaulWRX {Ed007's Note - He hasn't signed with Motherwell, he is only training with them and it was a testimonial game today. I doubt Motherwell could afford his wages.}
An apology, Paul? Don't need one from Aaron, it's a common mistake to make
Sorry then guys! How can, and why would a player who isn't part of the squad take part in a pre season game? What benefits are involved there?
PaulWRX
Sorry guys, I read too much in too it!
EtidAaron
It was a testimonial, and ex-players and players associated with the club can play in the game, like Rooney, for example, could come and play in a testimonial like hibbos if he was asked. Players can also train with other clubs they are not signed to.

Just been watching Le Tour and is it just me or does Bradley Wiggins have more than a passing resemblance to Bainsey?
Proof will be when ManUtd consider making an offer of £20M then £16M then £12M then £8M for his transfer...then he'll tell SAF to get on his bike - just like he does for a living :-)

It's just you I'm afraid

Hernandez would be amazing with Jelavic upfront can see him costing 10m or maybe some sort of swap deal for Rodwell but only if they sign RVP what you reckon ed?
DobsonsBlueBoys {Ed001's Note - be a good signing, a real goalscorer, but unlikely to be available.}
21 Jul 2012 10:06:42
All the people saying we need a quick striker to play alongside Jelavic,I'm not saying they're wrong because it's an opinion,But Moyes will not play 442 we got Naismith for that reason to play behind him and I expect Baines to be sold so we can sign a right winger and strenghen other areas of the pitch also i think Garbutt is more than capable of at least filling in untill we find a decent replacement Like Izzuigaree or Cissoko BAines is not bigger than the club no-one is especially a left back in Moyes we trust NSNO
21 Jul 2012 09:22:11
8million for baines!! whats ferguson on? Baines is easily worth 20million although knowing kenwright 12-15million would pursuade him to sell. I am confident pienaar will eventually sign once yobo is sold, showing that we clearly have no transfer budget this summer despite selling arteta and beckford last day of the window last summer and not seeing a penny of that money since. Yobo out, pienaar in and possibly a loan deal in the final few days of the window. and then donovan back in january
You won't get anywhere near £20 million for Baines. £8 million is a fair price.
Since selling arteta n beckford (11m in total i think) we have spent 5.5m on jelavic so we have seen half of that money.
I thought we signed Jelavic and Gibson with some of the Arteta money
Only an person would say 8m is a fair price for Baines,
21 Jul 2012 09:02:42
Old red nose has a cheek! He bought Phil jones for £24 million but he is offering £8 million for one of the best left backs in the world, absolute disgrace! For £8 million we should get Rooney, nani, vidic and welbeck as part of it...................
TC
Now Baines is 'one of the best left backs in the world'. You can't honestly believe that. £8 million is about right.
No name no idea

What's going on at our club, I've been watching SSN and with no disrespect clubs like Wigan are preparing bids for more expensive players, iam not saying that they're better but we're linked with freebies and hasbeens.if you listen to what Pranjic said was that he couldn't wait until the end of August for Everton which tells me that we are trying to save on wages again so all the rumours on these pages are just wishful thinking by our loyal fans, we deserve better.i love Everton but it's so frustrating waiting for last minute bargains every summer. Paul p

Sir Alex Ferguson is considering an £8m bid for Everton defender Leighton Baines, after the Manchester United boss confirmed plans to bring in a new left-back this summer.

further to fergisons offer of 8mill for baines he has also supposed to have offered 10 mill for van percy I think man u have not got much to spend because the glazers have put them in so much debt and rudolf is trying to to bluff it. They didnt spend the 80mill they got for ronaldo it went on interest. Baines is going knowhere. coyb. thgfest

Anybody else think Michu would have been an excellent addition? Just signed for Swansea for £2m after scoring 15 goals in La Liga last season for a struggling side. Obviously money would have been an issue but Park also went to QPR for £2m.This proves there are bargains out there and Im certain Moyes will pull something out the bag before the end of this window whether it be a loan or a permanent signing that will once again prove to be an amazing signing by the best manager in the EPL. Be patient with the signings,Pienaar is next in and hopefully Baines will stay! The future is bright, the future is blue!

Not a rumour but just a thought I do think we need another striker if Jelavic gets injured we are back to square 1 Naismith will score goals but want him sat in behind so who should we get let's get rid of these fringe players and ones that I don't think are going to get any better
Yobo 2m. 40k
Anichibe 3.5m. 20k
Cahill cash in now 5m 50k
I know wages are me guessing but can't be far off some will be saying no to Cahill but I only think he will be a bit part player this season saves us around 100k on wages a week plus some spending money lets get defoe for god sakes love him hate him he would be perfect with Jelavic and will defo score goals as proved year on year bill and moyes get pienaar and Defoe and that will make me happy for season Defoe fee would pay for its self when we finish top 4 with that team
Dont think we would get 5m for cahill
cropper
So sell 3 players to buy 1? I don't think so our squad is small enough as it is without depleting it even further.
Quality not qauntity is what is needed Cahill has a massive following and has commercial value selling them would not leave us short yobo has not played for couple of seasons striker would replace anichibe and Cahill is a position where we have good cover as he is not a striker or a midfielder so it's not like we will be short those 3 players will not be first team regulars anyway so let's cash in on dead wood and improve squad we all know anichibe works hard and would be great for a Wigan or someone but he is only going to get a few goals a season for us
Don't want to sell Cahill he could still do a job for us. Plus I want his name at the back of my shirt.
Blue kaz
I agree with moving Yobo on, I would keep Anichebe this season as his last chance to perform well unless this supposed 6mil offer from wigan arrives in which case I would let him go and I would keep Cahill, he is a club legend and I don't want him to leave.
