Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

What do the media have against us? Non stop, heres 3 facts, did you know we are only doing well because of moyes' signings? Martinez hasn't improved stones, coleman or howard at all, without moyes' signings, without his foundations we would be nowhere near 5th, well do they expect martinez to sell the whole squad and buy all his own players? If the talent is there, use it, no one is moaning about rodgers using suarez (signed by worzel gummidge) or pellegrini using aguero and toure (signed by the italian version of a disney prince), its because its everton, and everyone hates everton, fact 2, did you know if you took our loan players away we would be 8th! Well done, they speak as though we would never have got anyone other than our loans, oh yeah, there is a contract which says we could only sign gaz, steppy and the predator, no one else, again, all against everton, fact 3, we should have no points, did you know we havnt played well all season? Having watched motd tonight (on last again, if we would of been beaten 2-0 we would of been on first, again, against puny little everton) and they gave us no credit, it was all about how bad utd were, same when we beat arsenal, whenever we have a good result its like the opposition score own goals and let us win, we never are better than anyone, just they are so bad, yes Manchester United have slipped massively but don't we deserve a couple of words? 'take nothing away from everton they were very good' but nope it was gifted to us, we did nothing, coleman getting past people? They let him, going to the emirates and battering arsenal in the league? Yeah thry gave us all that possession, they purposely missed their tackles and they gifted captain america that late goal, it is scripted, every season the other 19 teams get together and say 'hey let's laugh and gift everton a couple of wins and draws so we can laugh at their fans thinking it is real!' they laugh at our expense, we do, nothing, are players are, nothing, rant over, I just think its sad yet apathetic but mostly just pathetic that the media don't want puny little everton invading their precious top four so they take every opportunity to slate us and sell our manager and players at any chance, its sad yet laughable but puts no pressure on everton so it has its positives I suppose

{Ed025's Note - if we start believing all the rubbish that is printed about us, and all the tittle tattle from washed up so called pundits swan..then its time to pack in mate..

Can't disagree with any of that swan. They way they go on about our loan signings, its as if we only play with them on the pitch. Forget yhe keeper and back 4.forget ross, macca, osman, mirallas and naisy. nope we play a 1-1-1 formation. Barry midfield, doofy loofy on wing and the beast up front

Hi all, I haven't given up yet, BUT, if we do fail to get past Arsenal into 4th and end up in the Europa league. Don't you all think we would have 2 good chances to make champions league the following year. Personally, I wouldn't be too upset. let's get the bigger squad used to the travelling, ways of playing away in Europe, etc and try to win it and get into the champions league that way next season. I think it will be a much more interesting competition with that great prize at the end. As well as being a great introduction into European football for our squad. What do you think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would rather finish 5th and win the europa league next year than finish 4th this year

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather finish 4th and get an extra 30mil than finish 5th and hope to win that awful Europa and get buttons for doing it

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not saying I would prefer it, I just don't get all the doom and gloom about getting into a competition which has a place in the champions league as a prize.

Agree0 Disagree0

The doom and gloom is because our squad is too small as it is, so we need the money the champs league brings otherwise we will be filling the squad with numbers rather than players that would improve us, this shouldn't even be a debate because to win the Europa is harder than us winning 3 games and hoping arsenal slip up in 1

Ed0025,

You boys have gone to far now, if you've got Moyes the sack a lot of people are going to be very unhappy.

Couldn't you have at least let them score or have a shot at goal. Jeez. ;-)

One of our guys recently described Rooney as a jacket potato with a number 10 on it's back and he sure lived up to it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yes jenny..we own up..but at least they were the better team (moyes said so) , love the jacket potato shout..

21 Apr 2014 18:59:06
It must be going to happen and worse than that they've got Ian Holloway lined up as a replacement.:-(

Agree0 Disagree0

C'mon jenny.rooney had a shot at goal at the end of the game but howard saved it.how many chances do we give em lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian Dowie as Caretaker boss, its inevitable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope it's not Holloway, Jenny. I like him - he doesn't deserve to have to work at that toxic club!

One thing is sure: David Moyes did take us as far as HE could - with the emphasis on 'he'. Roberto Martinez is showing that our club has not yet got as far as IT can. All it really needs is a manager with a positive approach.
DM would bemoan lack of resources and expect us to be outside the leading league positions before we started and be happy to 'get out alive' from some matches and move out our best players for 'the good of their careers'.
RM is refreshingly positive about the players and the club (note how he speaks about 'we' and 'us' and 'our club' - DM always used to refer to us in the third person as 'Everton' when he was our manager).
RM has been creative in using the limited financial resources for transfers and loans.
RM encourages an expansive, attacking, ball-possession approach and gives younger plays a genuine chance and is brilliant with the media. He can also adapt to more a direct approach (like yesterday against ManUtd) and can get players to work in different tactical formations (like Lukaku against Arsenal). A mere handful of poor performances and a few bad results this season is testament to the work in progress moving along nicely. [ I've clearly chilled out since the Crystal Palace match ;-) ]
Let's hope he'll take us to greater success before he's lured to a genuinely big club - like Barcelona - and let's enjoy the football he's got us playing.
He's the right one, he's the bright one, he's Martinez.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - no argument from me on that sid..good post mate..

Can't see Barca or any other huge club coming in for Bobby just yet. Yes he's had a great first season but he's relatively untested and unproven at the moment. Give him a few seasons to show what a great manager he is and then the euro giants will come knocking; but by then we'll be up there with them and Bobby will stay.

Those who think we are destined for 5th remember it's not only Arsenal who we are after. Never forget what Man City are. A team full of mercenaries who couldn't give a crap about the shirt. Their seasons done they won't get the Title and that squad will now be praying to get through the season so they can get to the World Cup where they can have a few good mins and add a few zeros to their sponsorship deals. We can do them at Goodison, they just have to play like they did against Sunderland in one of their other games and they will have a serious fight on their hands. Twists and turns ahead we are still in it. Believe. COYB

Poor old Davey, didn't even last a season. And how poetic he gets the boot after his team gets a kicking at Goodison. I bet even BK can't help a wry smile.

Also, I wonder how BigWig is feeling now, another one who thought he was destined for bigger and better thing only to discover he wasn't a good as he thought. The only friend in Manchester he had was Moyes

So Mr Moyes, what will you do now you have been exposed as a classless, technically inept manager, Norwich will be looking for a new manager to get them out of the Championship. I suggest you get your CV in there quick!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If Neil Lennon leaves Celtic to try managing in the English Premier League (as has been rumoured - perhaps Norwich City), then there must be a chance that David Moyes would become the manager at Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very possible sid

I'm not sure he could even win anything in the SPL

Agree0 Disagree0

Davey Moyes sacked at Man U. It's the end of an error. Sorry, era.

{Ed025's Note - nice one lee.. :)

Blue Lee: very droll - I like it :-)

Excellent Blue Lee

I reckon Moyes will become the next Newcastle manager when Pardew gets the boot at the end of the season.

A great performance yesterday that gave up more lines for Manchester United demise than the excellance of EFC's play. Appalling jounalism - if I was Capo de Capo I would ban all of them from Goodison. Particularly that lot from the daily mail who support RM transferring to Utd. God help us.

Biggest laugh yesterday was in Goodison Road. There was loads of people lining it to await the Utd Coach, all baying for blood. I managed to get my way through the crowd to where my turnstile is towards the Church and decided to watch and see what happens when it arrived. Then there came an announcement over the Tannoy, "Would people in Goodison Road please for your safety on Police advice move off the road to the sides as the Away Coach is due shortly". As soon as he finished saying that; what came round the corner from Gwladys Street but a 'Mr Whippy' Ice Cream Van. Goodison Road erupted in cheers and laughter. You had to be there to believe it, it was almost choreographed and staged.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lol I like it

Superb! I wish I'd seen that.

Brilliant Howie. Great story, sorry I missed it.

Can't believe the Reaper got thrown out of Goodison yesterday. Thought it was hilarious, just like Moyes.

did anyone see the pictures of the grim reaper taunting moyse in the ground, thought he was class, he ended up getting ejected from ground.funny all the same

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sad really, no sense of humour these days. wouldn't have happened years ago, who can forget the Clown for Grobbelar and the Handbag for Westie. They were laughed at and accepted, the Grim Reaper was priceless humour, shame he was ejected.

{Ed025's Note - its a shame when the fun is taken out of the game howie..

As a relative newcomer, if Everton takes 4th place, what is the qualification process to get to the Group stage in the CL? How many matches and opponents.

As a qualifier in July with no guarantee of CL the rest of the year (win to play), how many players would we sign? If we win I'm sure the Transfer period would be active later.

If we do not qualify, then the Transfer period would be less active I presume (a few players and Loans)

How much activity if we goes Europa this year?

My long winded open ended question-thought is that Europa participation may promise a deeper squad than a CL qualifier risk.

Then again win out and City and Arsenal tank and 3rd place makes everything I typified irrelevant.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It will go like this if we do get 4th we'll go for 3-4 of our 2nd or3rd choice players to strengthen our squad and if we do qualify we'll probably see one 10 million pound signing and invest the money later on.

Happy Easter chaps, great win today.
I know there is still three games to go, but got to say, very impressed with the blue boys this season, wherever we finish, it has well exceeded my expectations. Excited to think that we still have £20 million to spend going into next season.
Watched the Arsenal game and wasn't impressed by their overall performance, especially first half, sloppy passing and minimal effort. Think Hull were beaten down to the individual skill the gunners have. personally feel that there is a possible slip around the corner for them, it's just if we can capitalize on the opportunity.
