I don't mind being linked with other strikers like lopez, but i do wonder why we have a number of strikers at the club already (velios, gueye, strac....) and they are not being given a proper go ! I know i do not have a view of the day to day running and see what they do in training, but, we need to give them a go surely.

Im wondering the same thing aswell, vellious has proven he is good enough to start, geuye has been getting great reviews in his reserve matches and when in the first team looks good not forgetting he had a good pre season before his injury, not sure about denis the games he has played in i thought he did well, set up goal for drenthe, put himself about and was a handful, but not really had a chance since! Like the poster says we dont knw whats happening in training but if moyes didnt think he was any good then he wouldnt be putting him on the bench! Maybe just waiting for the right time! Woud like to see barkley, gueye, vellious and denis all on the pitch at the same time, but i understand that is way too risky for a league game at the moment but maybe see it in the fa cup against a lower league team! Anyway fulham on sunday, must win game i would like to be surprised when i hear the team news for once! Fingers crossed we kick ass :-)

vellios
reasons:hibberts s**t distin is strong but far too slow and no more than 1 season left in him, rodwell is over rated, saha is a cry baby when hes not in top form so this gives us quick cb's quick fb's quick wingers and 1 skillful and 1 strong cm with 2 ttrue goalscores further up

Sick of reading about evertons lack of atacking options! We have loads of options but moyes chooses to leave them out and play the same system, same players and same predictable football, why wont he just change things! Whats with all his negativety?

this is great. really typical from our own supporters. moyes tries to give Bily a go for a few seasons and it doesnt work out. everyone blames moyes for him not playing well and for playing him. This season we start playing without bily and playing osman who has been our most in form player over the end of last season and now we are all blaming moyes for making a bad call.
same goes for saha. he doesnt play the first few weeks because he isnt fit so we all say that moyes is stupid for not playing him. here we are after playing 3 of the toughest teams in europe (man city, liverpool and chelsea) and obviously finding them tough, so we blame it on moyes. why? i dont know. how about we start supporting our team and our manager instead of calling the shots yourself which we were all against just 3 weeks ago when things were looking a bit better. have some patience.. and some brains
wouldnt mind seeing this on the weekend

good luck against fulham boys. COYB {Ed025's Note - its not the results mate...its the way we are playing!, there is a negativity surrounding the club, it started in the boardroom, and has filtered down to the manager and players, and is now hitting the supporters, so dont blame the faithful for being subdued, we are paying good money to watch absolute tripe! we have always been proud that our teams always give 100%, and at the moment this does not seem to be the case, its up to moyes to sort it out, thats his job, for me he needs to be more positive, then that might filter back up to the players and supporters, and then we may be able to rescue this season...but im not holding my breath

I think we have to be patient, although were not playing well it is really tough to be calling when we've just played against those three. All top quality sides and i think we've been really competitive. The gap between the top few clubs is getting a lot bigger but in saying that we're going to have to lift it against clubs mid-lower table. Lets see how we go this weekend. Trust in Moyes

Howard
Jags - Heitinga - Distin - Baines
Fellaini
Coleman - Drenthe
Barkley
Vellios - Saha
I'd love to see Moyes play this team and formation, solid back four with fellaini helping out a bit when they attack and then a decent strike force for when we go forwards.

Barkley is good but I think he made a few (costly) mistakes in his first games - so he needs more experience - so a toss up between him n rodders
and definitiely gueye in for coleman

How is he going to gain experience unless he actually plays?!? If hes making mistakes its cos hes getting involved and tying unlike certain players who pass on responsibilty and hide!!
