I can not wait for the 1st signing its doing my head in reading and writing all this stuff i just cant wait for something concrete. {Ed011's Note - You and me both matey, oh the joys of being a blue. We will do alright next season

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Whoever we sell or buy lets just hope for a good start for once and some consistancy!

Realistic Everton 2011/2012
Howard

Coleman Jagielka Heitinga Baines

Donovan Fellaini Rodwell N'zogbia

Sturridge Long

What you think ED? {Ed011's Note - Good team, possibly top 6 material, where is cahill and arteta?

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Good team. But without the sale of Rodders or Fellaini, where does this guy expect Moyes to have the funds to buy N'Zogbia, Donovan Sturridge and Long??? Ed? {Ed011's Note - 35 million at least for those, we would need to offload the yak and yobo, heitinga, add that to the pineaar and vaughan money, sell rodwell and maybe we could get there, but we still have cahill and arteta so we wouldn't need n'zogbia and donovan, just maybe one of them. Who? I would say donovan

Agree0 Disagree2

Arteta could possibly play in the middle but he isnt as good there than what he is out wide so if Donovan doesnt come then Arteta RM but if he does come it will be tough competition which is what we need to go forward and Cahill is still an influential part of are team so it is a tough decision who to play. But like i say good competition is what we need to get the best out of everyone.

Agree1 Disagree0

Donovan 10m, N'zogbia 11m = 21m i forgot to put sturrdge would be on loan, and sales with Yobo 4m, Yak 3-4m, Bilyaletdinov 6mm Vaughan 2.5m, Pienaar 3m thats 19.5m and fat bill must av a few mil to spare

ive been a blue since 1980 and i love them dearly. I can tell you now that we will be lucky to even sign jay Bothroyd, he is actually waiting for better offers although DM is favourite to sign him. The cash from the proceeds of Yak and Yobo are about all we will have to spend and wages are very tight as they are. Sorry to sound miserable but that is the reality. what do you reckon Ed ? {Ed011's Note - I think moyes will sign players, not one of our stars has come out and said they want to leave, fellaini has indicated he will probably move on but not this summer, we were in the top 4 of the form table for the second half of the season and we made goodison a fortress, we are only a couple of quality signings off a top 6 place and we have to remain positive. I know the club is in limbo a bit, but we have come a long way under moyes and i trust moyes to get it right again. Players will sign for us because we are top 7, have passionate fans and are a big club. Why wouldn't bothroyd sign for us, we have a great team spirit and moyes is a respected coach and it would be the perfect step up for him.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I agree with most of this...but as you said, the latter part of the season was really good.....fellaini and rodwell did not figure much in this time....does that make them expendable??....just a thought.

Agree0 Disagree1

ED- having passionate fans, being top 7 etc isnt enough if you cant agree a fee or match other clubs bids and match other clubs wages for players. They arent going to take pay cuts because its EFC or clubs accept less money because its EFC.If we are all hoping Bothroyd signs it just shows how desperate things have become.By the way ED your not Kenwrong are you? lol PADDOCKBLUE {Ed011's Note - I am not mate, but i don't agree with being pessimistic al the time, i personally enjoyed our good run in the second half of the season. We don't know whats going on behind the scenes and most of the speculation is rubbish. We were not far off top 6 last season and we would only need a couple of players to push for it again.

Moyes back from his holidays now expect some deals soon

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Moyes did indicate he wanted to get his deals done quick this summer. Hopefully n'zogbia will be one signing.

Agree4 Disagree0

I think possibly the yak and yobo deals are holding up transfer proceedings at the moment as moyes needs that money.

Agree4 Disagree0

If you remember...west ham apparently offered us 11 million for the yak last season....which we turned down!!!

Agree2 Disagree1

Regretfully, you're wrong. They offered £5M which was rejected. They then came back with a reduced offer. If we could only get £5M for him now!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry about that.....must have been reading the sunday sport.....lol. {Ed011's Note - Good read that mate

Agree0 Disagree1

I would take 5 million for yakubu

although it would not make me happy, i believe that sacrificing fellani....for a top quality centre forward would improve the team. leading scorers in the prem, must score more than 10 goals a season beckford is agood back up, but for us to break into the top 6, we need a proven 20 goals a season man. if we could get a defoe, berbatov, for any of our midfield, it may just improve our chances.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I would prefer to keep fellaini and sacrifice rodwell.

Agree8 Disagree0

If the right bids come in then let both go, fellini for one reason or anther didnt do much end of last season and rodwell isnt doing it either. on that note Arteta can leave. that should brinig in atleast 50M for moyes to work his magic. Bring in a RB, CM and CF {Ed016's Note - Your 100% right he did nothing at end of season, although it was around febuary he was deemed 'out for the season' against sunderland so im hardly shocked he did anything.

everton in for paul konchesky and scott parker

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Scott parker would be great, but let konchesky stay at anfield as he is s**te

Agree4 Disagree0

Agreed re Konchesky. Quite like Parker but cannot see him coming. More like Spuds or Arsenal for me. In any case, with Osman Arteta Cahill Bily Heitinga Rodwell Fellaini Coleman it's not the midfield that needs strengthening. I understand one of those is likely to be sacrificed (most likely Rodders) but still believe we have enough cover there. It would make my Summer if we got N'Zogbia and Sturridge in on permanent deals (Ed, any update on the rumour that N'Zogbia is on his way to Newcastle?). I hear the Yobo transfer is delayed due to the Turks trying to renegotiate the fee they originally agreed. I think he and Yak are worth £4M each of anybody's money, West Ham the latest to be linked with Yak. Come on Davey, lets get things moving!

Agree0 Disagree0

Tbh ive got a feeling this is a liverpool fan, there has just been another post about brad jones, he is shizzle

Agree0 Disagree0

Scott parker is a great player, but a winger and a striker is our priority

20 Jun 2011 18:50:54
Moyes is back at work tomorrow so should hopefully get moving from there - probably outgoings first. Yobo and Yak most likely. But could be a big outgoing too. But this will fund any ins.
Sorry I don't know any names but it really could be anyone.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I hope moyes acts quick and gets some new signings in time for the friendlies

Fellaini in talks over contract extension however he will want assurances over the clubs ambitions as will Arteta before pledging his future. We have targetted players but cannot get drawn into a bidding war whether it is on cost or wages in the Demba Ba case, all funds are limited and must be used wisely.

heard that we are in talks orhave bidded for a player any truth and any idea who it is?

Wes Brown has been talking to Everton over a possible move, he wants to stay in the North west and is friends with several Everton players.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Who's Brown gonna replace? If he was a free transfer, he might be good enough as a bench warmer but I'd sooner see £3M spent on Mackail-Smith or put towards a bid for Long.

Shaun Wright-Phillips - 2.5mil - (Vaughan)
Tomas Rosicky - (Part of rodwell deal)
Adel Taarabt - (11mil) - other sales
Ismael Miller - (Loan) - backup
Niko Kranjcar - Neville + 5mil

Havent had many posts ed, please post this one?

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Please please no, i only agree with 1 player wright phillips the rest no way.

Agree4 Disagree1

I think they are all good players on that list that would improve our squad for next season. We need to aim to bring in quality

Agree3 Disagree0

I think all these players would be very good sihning risicky is a top class player as is kranjcar, and shaun wright phillips is top draw

Agree2 Disagree0

Moyes has been linked with kranjcar before, i think moyes would consider a move for him

Agree1 Disagree0

Agreed, but any deal for Krancjar would include Rodwell or Neville

Hello luvies Bill here

Davie and i sat and chatted about some potential targets and i say WOW, wow, wowser!, Davie Lovie if you can get them for a packet for walkers ready salted and 1/2 pack on nobby nuts then lets do it, lets seal that deal, wowser!

Jay " wow" bothroyd

Shane " wowser" long

Champions leauge here we come luvvies, watch yer selves.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Shane long was on fire last season, he will fit in at everton, i would prefer him to bothroyd

Agree4 Disagree0

I would have this as my team for next season:

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines

Fellaini Osman
Cahill
Long Beckford Bothroyd

Ins: Long [£5million]

Bothroyd [Free]

Outs: Heitinga [£6million]

Yobo [£4million]

Yakubu [£4million]

Bilyaletdinov [£6million]

What do you think Ed? {Ed011's Note - Good attacking team, but moyes would never play with 3 strikers and i would want to sign long rather than bothroyd. Long is younger and better in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jun 2011 16:23:53
everton should go for tim matavz young, cheap and bangs in the goals also n, zogbia would be quality

Believable4 Unbelievable0

20 Jun 2011 16:01:22
lets all trust moyes, we only need a couple of quality players and we can push for top 4/5. we also have a few good young players coming through, ross barkley, vellious, guaye, hallam hope, baxter, duffy, bidwell, lundstram, there are more and from what ive heard they arent looking too bad, come on you blues!

Believable7 Unbelievable0

20 Jun 2011 14:47:51
Everton dont need to sign wingers i think we should get defoe, if we sell yobo and the yak which we should do i would think we would have around 15 mil to spend (including what we got for penars and vaugn) spend that on defoe and a cover goalkeeper and the everton team i think should look like this next season:

Howard
Neville jags distan baines
coleman fellaini arteta or rodwell gueye
cahill
defoe

Coleman works on the right very well and he was class last year. Gueye the few times i saw him looked very good on the wings. defoe 20+ a season striker we would easily get top 6 maybe pushing for higher.

Bench: Mucha or a goalkeeper we sign osman Rodwell (if arteta stays) Billy (if arteta stays) hibbo heitinga beckford

Believable4 Unbelievable3

20 Jun 2011 14:46:46
Just saw that Psv quoted west brom 10 mil to sign Ola Toivonen. This guy would be a super signing. Tall, strong, fast and young. If we cant afford that type of fee its a sad state of affairs at goodison.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

He's about 10 million quid out of our price-range then. ;)

Agree4 Disagree0

With the sale of fringe players, i think 10 mill would be in our price range.

Agree2 Disagree1

20 Jun 2011 14:01:40
Everton to sell Mucha, Yobo , Yak, Billy, and Heitinga to sign Lonergan, Danny Collins, N'Zogbia, and Sturridge

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Would be more than happy with that but there's no chance. Have heard that we need to raise 10 million for the banks this summer and that Jagielka is off to Arsenal. Brown apparently coming in to replace him. :( :(

Agree0 Disagree4

Jags won't go and i think brown will go to blackurn

Agree0 Disagree3

Cant see Jags leaving. Wengers after Gary Cahill & Samba. Danny Collins????? U having a laugh!!

What would fellow blues say was the best goal last season, for me it is between billys piledriver against wolves or beckfords against bolton or chelsea. {Ed011's Note - Beckfords against blackpool was a tasty finish as well

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Baines against Chelsea man.

Agree4 Disagree0

20 Jun 2011 13:44:48
It seems we are in with a good chance of getting Bothroyd for next season, do fellow blues think that beckford, saha, bothroyd, velois and anichebe is a good enough set of strikers for us to start next season with? For me we would still be short of quality with that line up if we seriously wanted to go for top 6 {Ed011's Note - I would hope we would sign bothroyd and one more striker

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I would hope we could get a quality proven striker like defoe or sturridge who has previously done it in the premiership

Agree4 Disagree0

Id like us to get sturridge but cant see us getting him on a permanent basis and if he came in on loan and got us 15-20 goals we have the same problem this time next year when he goes back to Chelsea. So i really think we need to look at permanent deal for someone however if we do get sturridge on a permanent deal i think it would be a brilliant signing for the blues. I will keep my fingers crossed!

Agree5 Disagree0

Anichebe won't get much game time if Sturridge & Long get signed

Agree1 Disagree0

Good!!

Always a worry when players agents kick rumours off - next thing is someone will table an offer for Fellaini just to test the waters

Believable1 Unbelievable0

IN MOYES WE TRUST but questions need to be asked behind the scenes at Everton,
just where does the tv, gate receipts and prize money go? there are no official comments coming from the club
why is it that every other premier club can spend yet we are scrambling around for pennies
we finished top of the mini league in the prem yet we still have no money and no new investor, just what is wrong with everton?we have been up there for the last 5 years but just cant get over the line.
we don't need wes brown, we need a proven striker and a pacy wide player like nzogbia, if we have to let rodwell go as long as moyes gets the dosh
we could also sell billy as he hasnt settled and let heitinga go if he wants to, maybe we could get defour in he is a class act and is fellis mate,
COYB and come on BK give us some hope for next season

Agree5 Disagree0

20 Jun 2011 10:53:56
can some preolpe not read or do they just like to cause trouble. felliani has said that he would like to one day play champions league football but now is NOT the time to leave everton, (if some people cant understand that the please read again, im sure you will get it soon).
jack rodwell and leighton bains, the amount of people on here linking them with moves away is unbelievable has anybody actually asked bains or rodwell if the actually want to leave? here are just some of the rumors going round
outs
bains, rodwell, felliani, arteta, saha, beckford, ect... get real why would moyes let our best players go, maybe 1 but no more than that. then people come up with the names to replace them,
eagles, bothroyd, larsson, upson, carew, ect... are not better than we already have so why would be bother, i only want us to sign players who will really improve the squad and i do not want any of our top players to leave. we have some very promisong youth players coming through and we have the basis of a very good squad, we finished 7th(which would usually gaurentee europa) with spending no money again just 8 points from 5th behind spurs and that lot who both have spent a fortune again, 1 or 2 good players, a decent start and we have a great chance of european football. coyb {Ed016's Note - Good shout, larsson has gone to spurs though... eagles i would take as is young and has PL xp. We should be looking at the like of Adam,Nzogbia,Defoe,Pavleychenko etc who would improve our squad.

was out bowling with the family and chris eagles was in the lane next to us, spoke to him after to get an autograph and he said he will be signing for everton or bolton then let it slip that he will be joining everton, i live in watford where chris eagles was brought up was out with his family for fathers day, source is 100% reliable !

Believable4 Unbelievable5

will be a decent signing

Agree1 Disagree0

Really doubt that a player would tell you that he was signing for everton if you had nevedr spoke to you before, if that was the case he might as well of just had an interview with the echo to tell everyone in the city

Everton have held 'encouraging' talks with Marouane Fellaini over extending the midfielder's stay at Goodison Park.
Fellaini, 23, has two years left on his deal but is reportedly considering his future.
Everton's board are relaxed, however, after talks with his advisors, and are confident he will sign a long-term deal. {Ed011's Note - This is being reported in the morning press
