Bit glad I working tomorrow because I am going to get totally abused for this post.
All agree we do not want some 'Dodgy Character' with billions taking over us, fine I agree.
But am I going to go to my grave sitting not far away from were my Dad was lifted over the turnstile by his father to watch Bill Dean's 60th goal in stadium that really hasn't changed that much since the 30s?
It cannot be long before the Health and Safety people move in to limit our ground to lower attendances, so (big breath, be brave Mushy boy!) we have to look at a ground share with them, if not all us older posters will be tapping away until arthritis kicks in hoping for an some miracle we get an Evertonian to take us over.
I want Champions League every year!
I would suggest a vote ed but it would probably be 99% No!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If it provides us with a stadium I'd say yes

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously, hate posts like this. Not changed since the 30's? Main Stand, 1st 3 tier stand in this country, ahead of its time then. Half moons behind goals gone. All seater, Gwladys Street changed, Park End knocked down. Only Bullens Road not changed. Why share? what's wrong with having our own Stadium and keep your identity, Nearly did twice, 3rd time lucky. Should never forget, 'An if ya know yer History' without which we wouldn't be the club and fans we are.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see how sharing a ground with them would mean we loose our identity? Look at inter and Ac Milan, the 2 Munich clubs. They haven't lost their identity and they share stadiums. If it's the most cost effective and practical way to get a new stadium that would generate much needed revenue then I'm with Mushy

Agree0 Disagree0

Howie it was the first 3 tier stand in the 60s mate, its the classic dilemma that no one will invest with our current ground because its not possible t make bigger, if we had the kings dock we we would of been far more attractive prospect, il go to goodison till the day I die But we wnt move forward if we don't improve, ask city or arsenal fans if they would go back its time to make new history imo

Agree0 Disagree0

Not long ago Liverpool received Objective 1 funding which classed us as being as poor as some areas of rural Italy.
How can we justify the building of two new football stadia with that background?
The heart says don't groundshare but the head says it is the only way.
The council should be leading this by saying no more planning permissions for either current site. Government funding would be more readily available and in larger amounts for a joint project.
They should build the stadium and rent it back to the two clubs, so ensuring that there is no financial risk.
Think we missed the boat with a site as all the transport links are contained in Speke estuary.
Would have been a fantastic stadium on the banks of the Mersey with great links into town, to the rest of the country or abroad and no concerns of gnarling up the city centre with matchday traffic. Could also have given forst shout for concessions to those traders currently serving Goodison and Anfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats wrong with a ground share. Just because we share a stadium it doesn't mean we are training together or going out for cosy meals as 2 teams together.if any1 objects its ridiculous.share the cost.cheaper in the long run.could call it Goodfield Park lol

Agree0 Disagree0

My personal opinion is I think a ground share will happen. And the reason I believe this will happen is because, I think Liverpool council only really want one stadium due to costs etc. And are probably pushing the clubs to do this. Also, over the years both clubs have announced plans for new stadiums or developing our current grounds but the plans never come off either for planning issues or lack of finance. A new, shared stadium that we could all be proud with all the revenue it would generate has to be the answer

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool won't ground share with us because they think they have an advantage over us and don't want us to get benefit of a bigger stadium - they think they will be able to 'go it alone' if they get champs league but they will never have as much money as chelski / man city / Manchester United and probably even arsenal which leaves them in the same league as us once Manutd get back on track which they will do sooner or later

The reds are only interested in beating us - not in progressing - hence refusal to share a ground

Agree0 Disagree0

And I remember going to Goodison just after the under-soil heating came into being (and NO it was not in the 30s)

Agree0 Disagree0

No, it was 1958 the same year the Everley Brothers had a number one hit 'All I have to do is Dream'!
And this glorifying of our history is very well and good but it's standing in our way of progress.

Hey Evertonians;

Glad to be back on your page to congratulate you on your win and qualification for the next round of the FA cup.

At least we've got a Mersey side team left in the competition to tussle it out. I've got faith in you that you could cause damage in Arsenal and proceed to the next round.

Have fun guys and looking forward to seeing you trounce your opponents like flies. (Well thankfully we ain't meeting again this season :)

Cheers,
From the friendly rival,
O'seunfunmi Anfield Red

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There's always one. Is he for real or just taking the p**s?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he is genuine which is even funnier, what we do in the cup has no bearing on them and I for one am not bothered about there progress or lack of it and certainly would not wish them luck in any competition ever as we never hear the end of it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Me neither.

Anyone else think that Big Duncs appointment to the first team might be part of a Roberto plan to help Traore with his aerial side of the game?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just as long as he doesn't turn him into a thug that goes around headbutting people and punching people that 'big' Dunc was a master at.

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical that someone who doesn't know the man would judge him based upon mistakes he's made in the past and not the good he's done and the passion he has for the club that you claim to love! But nobody expects anything other than that from you negative Mike.

I think it was only a matter of time until dunc made the step up to the first team coaching set up and am looking forward to not only seeing an improvement in the strikers' performances, but the team fighting mentality, the ability to hold the ball up in our strikers game and most importantly his influence in the dressing room. Would like to see the same happen in both hibbo and ossie, after they are unable to influence their input on the field during match days, give these two guys a go in the under 18s. Seems to be a common trend as dunc, stubbs, weir and other ex players seem to shine in our youth set up and development. Defensively I think hibbo can bring lots of his positional and tackling ability to nurture our youngsters, as with ossie and his eye go pick out a through ball. Together this combination could take the school of science into 2020's

Agree0 Disagree0

I love the club. I do not love thugs who go around headbutting and punching fellow players.

I will give 'big' Dunc credit for making a career with such limited ability, and he did have passion.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Craig with Hibbert and (to a lesser extent) Osman. I would have no problem with them joining the coaching staff when they retire.

Although not the best of players, they have been a total credit to the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

The real mike fella sounds like a red

Agree0 Disagree0

Who is this robertoisthemainman.

I guess you are new mate. I think I have been on here long enough to prove that I am a blue.

Why is that post even on here. I don't care if people don't like me or what I post. Just don't call me a red.

I don't think that is on eds and is uncalled for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont care who u are, but u don't sound like a blue with the coments above

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds, from now on, if I don't agree with a post, I am going to call the poster a kopite, and call them a Liverpool fan.

Please post these as I want to prove a point of how pathetic it is.

If it is ok for people to call me a red, then I should be allowed as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You can try it.......}

I don't expect them to be posted ed and that is my point.

I don't think it is right that posts calling me a red should be allowed on here. What purpose does it serve.

Have a look at my posting history.

I just think it is ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You're a big boy now Michael and I'm sure you've been called worse (I've actually called you worse just typing this).}

I know that I am the most hated poster on this site, I am not bothered. I just don't think it is right that posts calling me a red should be posted.

All because I don't worship a thug.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm on your side about Ferguson, I can't stand the man and I know some right horror stories about him over the years.}

20 Feb 2014 23:32:43
Calling him a red was a bit uncalled for eh roberto :)

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2014 23:44:05
no you're not mate! the most hated title belongs to me, what I love about ferguson is the passion and love he has for the club, still he's 40 something now, maybe its time he matured a little, die hard evertonian? yes, thug? yes, should him being an evertonian make us forget he's a thug? most definitely not

Mike-Ox Long

Agree0 Disagree0

You can bet your bottom dollar that sooner or later the gutter press will drag up the old news about Duncan. Ferguson's previous situations - for which he has served his punishment and is fully atoning for by his maturity in taking his coaching career forward - and try and make something out of this ancient history for their own lazy agenda.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And there will be plenty of bleeding heart hand-wringers that will stick up for him while anyone with any morals will remember how much of a vile excuse for a man he actually is.}

Why so much hate for Big Dunc Ed007. Did you go to the same school? and did he used to nick your lunch money? Dunc's a class act. He's most likley a good coach because of his no-nonsense attitude. I reckon if he was coaching the likes of Teves, Ballotelli, Ronaldo, he'd proper sort them out, and stop them from being such pre madona's

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd have liked to see him try to nick my lunch money, he's nothing but a bully. I suppose if you think asking a man if his wife, who is dying of cancer, is dead yet 'and to then also 'joke' about it in front of team mates at an awards ceremony is classy then that's fair enough, it says a lot more about you than me. I tend to find things like that vile and disgusting and happily I lack the kind of 'class' Duncan Disorderly does.}

20 Feb 2014 08:24:51
Now that Duncan Ferguson is moving to the first-team coaching staff, does that leave a position available as assistant to Kevin Sheedy with the U-18 players?
If so, would that be a role for Tony Hibbert? Roberto Martinez has said, "The role he has is not like other players who can only help the team by playing at the weekend. Tony's role is bigger than that. He helps us develop and he will always have a role at Everton for me."

So the Arse have restricted the Blues followers to just over 5,000 for the FA Cup game, blaming persistant standing and pyrotechnics . or is it just good vocal support!? One person amongst the 5,000 could let off a smoke bomb, same as if there was 10,000 and if your stewards can't cope with people standing that's your problem . Its happened before and I just hope if there's a replay similar restrictions are made to Arsenal supporters what do you think Blues shall we allow 1,000?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It has nothing to do with safety, and has everything to do with vocal support.

If it was safety, why did they offer mickey mouse Coventry 9,000 tickets (they took 3,000), yet gave the 3 big teams Liverpool, Spurs and Everton just 5,000.

They don't like noise at the library, that is the crux of it. They know their fans would be put to shame as they sit in silence for 90 minutes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree boys. The Arse are running scared at the thought of EFC coming to town in greater numbers and out singing their prawn sandwich brigade. Should it go to a replay, give them 250 seats in the bottom tier of the Bullens at £100 per ticket. Do to them what they've been doing to all away fans since that new stadium was built.

Agree0 Disagree0

And another thing. What's with all this brown nosing bezzy mates thing that been going on over on their site these past few weeks between AFC and the RS? Cosy cousins? More like laughable losers.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's vomit inducing stuff.}

We've been down this road before but I can't remember the answer, aren't there supposed to be ticket allocation guidelines for FA Cup games?. and if so surely they are breaking the rules . they can't keep denying away support in the Iratates Stadium.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know the exact figures but there looked like more than 5000 Bayern supporters last night, and they were all doing the Poznan!

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Feb 2014 23:37:25
In my opinion its complete rubbish and arsenal just don't want to make their fans look stupid but I will be making the trip as I have a few overdue library books to hand in

Agree0 Disagree0

At Goodson, there's always an announcement during the match telling the away supporters to remain seated or risk being removed by the stewards. I don't know if any away fans do get ejected, but I can imagine that some clubs don't treat Everton's own away support with the greatest regard. Anyone got any stories?

Agree0 Disagree0

They all stand and they won't throw them all out so its pointless, I'd love to see they announcers face when he gets the nod to give the instructions
