Was he not involved with us during the failed Kirkby stadium? Don't know if he still is.

Picking up from the weekend and the fact Rom is back banging the goals in, with 6 in his last 5 games. I noticed he is celebrating like he wants to be an Everton player and maybe he can see that with Koeman at the helm we are going places. He seems interested again and I hope that we don't hear noises about wanting to leave in the summer. He is a player I feel who on his day is irreplaceable and we should be aiming to tie him up into a new deal if possible. Part of me still thinks this will be his last season but depending on were we finish that may change. What do other posters think? And has anybody else noticed the change in his attitude on the pitch?

If he doesn't sign a contract this season he will be sold next summer. He will only have 2 years left next summer and they won't risk losing him. Plus it will hit the valuation on him with less than 2 years on his contract.

He should stay because he's looked his best the past few games and Koeman is having an effect. It was also nice for him to keep his gob shut for the first time in two years whilst away with Belgium.

Does anyone feel that we may get another 2 seasons out of Lukaku? I feel with the statement that Koeman made with us being a 2 year plan to get were he wants us to be that maybe Rom and his agent won't be making noises this summer for a move. I know it's only early days but he seems to be enjoying his football again and seems interested again. We need to keep our best players and build the squad and having a striker who knows were the net is, is a must.

{Ed002's Note - You are reading something in to what he said that simply isn't there.}

So is he still looking to move come the end of the season Ed? I have noticed a change in his attitude on the pitch and that is what got me thinking that maybe he will stay? I didn't think this post posted Ed thought I pressed close so re wrote another post.

{Ed002's Note - He will certainly still be considering his options - he wants to move on to a more successful side who are higher profile and pay wages to match.}

What high profile sides are still showing an interest in acquiring him Ed? Don't get me wrong I don't want him to leave but I am also a realist and I know we are not title challengers or champions league qualifiers although the top 4 this season will be hard to crack not just for us but for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Liverpool and Spurs with only City looking like a definite even this early on.

{Ed002's Note - It is the start of the season - interest will come later on.}

No probs Ed. Cheers for the insight.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome. If you want someone to read up on, I can tell you that Everton are still looking at Federico Santander.}

I for one hope we are and that we get him. His natural ability to strike the ball is superb. His timing is awesome.

Not wrong there Degsy, had a look at him on YouTube and heasy certainly looks to have a sweet right foot and also positioning around the 6 yard box looks good and natural.
Only concern would be the quality of football he has been playing as he really hasn't played in a top league like ours.
