Could Bojan be the number 10 we are looking for?

Lots of stuff about bad day at the office and other posts saying we are struggling. for me it is same as last 2 seasons. Too many draws that should have been wins. We have only won 3 of 9 and yet only lost 2. If just 1 of those draws had been a win we would be in 5th. if 2 had been wins we would be top 4. I don't think we should fear anyone. but only when we play well. I also think Roberto was out witted Saturday. Martiall on the wing and Rooney up front was not expected. that's why Coleman could not bomb forward much and their extra midfielder meant all the difference breaking through our back line.

Agree. The judgment of Roberto is flawed the same as Moyes in as much as, as soon as his favourites are fit then it is straight into the Team no matter how the Team have been playing. For me Barry as good a player as he is, is no longer up to the pace of the Premier League which in turn slows our Team and its passing down. As soon as Roberto saw Man Utd's line up he should have put both Deli and Lennon on the flanks at the same time enabling Barry, Barkley and McArthy to push high.

Have to disagree a little bit duncansm, Barry actually speeds are play up, with him out the team no one picks it up from the Defenders. That means even more time passing it around. He also enables Stones to go forward and carry the ball. Degsy, you're correct mate, similar to when Lukaku on the wing caught out Arsene Wenger. On Coleman, he still should do better coping with Martial, I love Coleman but I'm sick to death of him not tackling people. I honestly can't remember the last time he slid in and stopped a winger in their tracks. Think Ben Arfa 3 seasons ago, even then it looked like 2 slips rather than 2 tackles. He either blocks the cross, or he backs off and McCarthy has to do it for him. Martial had so much time on the ball, he let him do what he wanted. This isn't the first time, Bolasie and Redmond did the same thing in Martinez's first season. Anyone willing go take him on goes past him every single time. He needs to sort his defending out big time.

Roberto can't really win on here last year we all wanted him out this year he's ok again then a very bad result and he's clueless again, less we forget a lot of the blame lies with the eleven highly paid professionals that took to the pitch Saturday and were not good enough!
whatever the excuses Coleman not match fit, euro break, it was an abject performance and the player that started need to look at their contribution, but it also highlight our real lack of strength in depth, hopefully in the window we can finally bring some quality in and make players perform to wear the shirt!

{Ed025's Note - good post that wakka mate..

wakka57 so if Coleman is not match fit but gets picked by the Coach anyway and it is not Roberto's fault. The lad Mori has shown enough class to be rightfully upset at being dropped. Incidentally who is the better left back, Gallagher or Baines.

Before the Man U match roberto was being heralded as a changed man now it's back to the finger pointing, I'm a bit blah this season no expectations but it seems the fickle train is back again.

Dunc, I questioned why he had left Mori out of the team myself. The lad has played well since he joined, he's certainly settled quicker than most would have thought. But I heard he only got back from international duty on the Friday before the game so that obviously was a factor in why he didn't play.
Like others though, I'm a little bit frustrated with how we react to a defeat. By and large, results haven't been too shabby so far, bar 1st half of Watford game and then defeat to united, yet some act as if we haven't won a game for months. Not RM's biggest fan but credit where it is due. He has got us playing decent football in most games, something which he couldn't do for the majority of last season.

Well said spudv, apart from Mori comment your view to this season is exactly the same as my own.

Baines is the better left back all round, he has the experience and offers more in the long run, when fit.
The lad Mori has been superb but the manager is not going to leave our best player Stones out or the Skipper. All managers have favourites and see more in hem all week than we do for an hour and a half each weekend.
Surely Mirallas must be desperate for some game time as well.
