Any chance we could go for manny fernandes ed? Must be worth a try for free! He was a quality player what do u think? {Ed025's Note - i dont see why not mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

One of my favourite players when he was here, especially in his first loan spell. He is so gifted on the ball, much like Drenthe is, but Fernandes doesn't seem to be a nutcase.

I think Moyes is a fan, I mean we offered like 10-12mil to acquire part of his ownership, unfortunately with all that BS with 3rd party ownership, if didn't work out and elected for Valencia who were willing to pay the entire fee for him and 100% of his rights.

But surely Moyes will take note. Think he would be a brilliant addition to our team, and offers something i feel we badly lack aside from Pienaar which is creativity. The thought of an attacking 3 of Fernandes, Pienaar and Fellaini (or possibly a Donovan or Dempsey) is very very tantalising and the fact he is available for free, makes it even better, meaning we could have money for other targets.

Fingers crossed!! Really hasn't been the same since he left Everton, so hopefully we hold a special place in his heart. {Ed025's Note - he would be a cracking addition..

Sneaky feeling our enemy may have a look at dimatteo now if Chelsea don't keep him

Ant wharton {Ed025' Note - they are looking at everyone ant...i have turned them down twice, for christs sake!..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

They can have him, I think he's been very lucky, there play under him is crap, sit back defend for everything there worth and hope to nick a goal. It's worked for now, think he would take them down, so it's got my vote

Any truth in Nilmar saying that Everton would be an "exciting change" (heard it from a mate of mine who isn't usually wrong).

Believable0 Unbelievable3

What do you reckon Ed? {Ed025's Note - its hard to say mate..he is a damn good player, but it will, as always, come down to money..

19 May 2012 21:25:13
Just a thought but could we offer hoilett a good deal with his wages. We may struggle this year but with cahill and neville due to finish up shortly that would surely free up alot of wages. {Ed025's Note - we cannot offer the sort of wages that his agent will be looking for..

Well I've just heard that manuel Fernandes is on a free and I would love it if he came back to us. I reckon moyes will sign Fernandes, pienaar and an unknown loan signing. The team that I would play is:
Howard
Coleman. Jags. Heitinga. Baines
Gibson. Rodwell
Fernandes. Fellani. Pienaar
Jelavic

Gibson is so composed with the ball and can pick a pass. Also people are forgetting how good rodwell was before he got injured and I think he would be a good holding mid. Also Fellani has destroyed teams like man u, Newcastle and Sunderland when he has played in an advanced position.

Now I know this probably won't be everyones cup of tea, but having watched him several times this season and again today in the play off final, I think blackpools Tom Ince would be a great (cheap) alternative to our riight wing problem. He's got pace, good vision, and could definately be moulded to our squad under Moyes.

If anyone puts stock in what fourth official says on twitter he has said we are in for him now that Blackpool aren't coming up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does once play on the left? Does anyone know If he can play on the right as well? We need a decent rm, pienaar is our ideal left mid {Ed025's Note - he can play on the right..

Just read on SkySports that Arsenal are the favorites to sign a youth player from Birmingham, Foday Nabay. He’s only 13 years old and at age twelve, he played for the England under-16s. He is labeled as the new Yaya Toure.
Since we are usually signing young, academy players (e.g. George Green, Courtney and Tyrone Duffus), are we looking at signing him and would we have a chance against Arsenal?

Breeno {Ed025's Note - i really dont know breeno, it would depend on the kid himself, and his advisors...they are both big clubs, with a great youth policy..

I still think we need to get rodwell healthy and playing 1st team football again. Then we can get good transfer offers for him and decide whether he'll be a part of Everton long term.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He is a brilliant player, people were saying 20 million for him before he got injured now they are saying get rid of him for buttons! I was looking before as well and he has a passing rate of 87 percent this season! that's awesome for a midfielder of any age never mind a 21 year old!
Toffeepidge

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell could be quality for us if he could get himself 100% fit, it could allow fellaini to play in a more advanced role

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said this on here and other sites for ages, HE IS NOT A MIDFIELDER! he does a job there but something does not fit with him. this is why iv always been for selling him, but, yes but, if we insist in keeping him its time to see what he can do for us in his main position, CB. if he can cut it i see him and duffy being the future of evertons defence, and if he is as good as we are led to believe, in my eyes we could have one of the best central partnerships (young) in the EPL. but if moyes doesnt want him there, we need to get rid, and cash in.

Agree0 Disagree0

What qualities do you think he will bring to CB? He is not a strong tackler and is not great in the air considering his height. I know people think he reads the game well, but you need to be have the basic tools to be an effective CB. His greatest asset is his athleticism so he can provide cover in front of the back four. I wouldn't want to rely on him making tackles in the 18 yard box.

Agree0 Disagree0

So he's crap at tackling and in the air, so why we keep him {Ed025's Note - thats unfair...you dont see the whole picture, this boy has talent...why else would he be on the big boys radar?..

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a strong tackler? Where did you get that from, you might not see him smashing into tackles in midfield but when he does have a 50/50 he goes in for it and generally wins!
Suarez? Kompany? Remember them tackles that he won and because they were so strong he was booked for one of them and sent off for the other.

'moussa dembele is set to reject fulham's new contract offer, paving the way for a summer exit.'?, think this could a great option if moyes can raise funds! what do you think ed? {ed024's note - would be a good signing, buts lets secure pineaar as a priority

we could really use are friendly to are advantage this year a bit of a rest for the 1st team and give young players ago like duffy hope baxter (!barkley!) joao silva Francisco Da Silva velios sorry if i missed any out there to meny young talents but i could be great to watch {Ed025's Note - i agree it is the perfect time to blood these guys in..

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Moyes always uses fringe players, with a mix of first team in friendlies, always has, thats how he sees if they mix it well, but sometimes i think due to him doing this right through pre season, or most of it, we always start slow. {Ed025's Note - i think we start slow...because we do all our transfer dealing right at the end of the window!, and the new guys dont have time to bed in...come on moyes and bill, do it early this time..

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2012 10:03:26
seeming as reo coker has been released again.. we should sign him up. i remember a few years ago when he played for west ham, everton were interested, but aston villa snapped him up.. we should definitely buy the midfielder, hes 28 prime of his career, a nice free transfer with not that expensive wages i expect.. he would be an excellent addition to the everton squad. {Ed025's Note - no way pedro..

Believable2 Unbelievable7

His wages are ridiculous compared to his quality. Would pass, would be 4th choice for that defensive mid position {Ed024's Note - I agree

some ideal transfers in/out for everton.

ideal team nxt season
howard
mathieu debuchy, heitina, distin/jags, baines
hoilett, fellaini, gibson,pienaar
dempsey
jelavic

bench:
joe lewis
hibbert
distin/jags
gueye
rodwell
cahill
mosesnow, that could actually happen.

players going away from everton like barkley on a loan or a really high transfer cost, neville needs to retire, keep anichebe and sell lots of other non regular first teamers, bring in a few more young players with high potential.. we should have a top 6 challening team next season.. {Ed025's Note - very unlikely that mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Hasnt joe lewis signed for cardiff?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would rather have jags with distin rather than heitinga {Ed025's Note - hmmm....our player of the year, not in the side?...hmmm

Agree0 Disagree0

Jh is twice the player jags is.jags lets the ball bounce to often and makes mistakes
Jab.ps hope the shi.e get Ian dowie

Agree0 Disagree0

Jags rather than Heitinga? I find that hard to believe, Heitinga has been the rock at the back, and whenever Jags has played lately he looks shaky. Not to mention, Heitinga is the right side of 30, and Jags turning 30. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

The silly season is here already and the league only finished a week ago!!
In the last few days we have been linked to Codozo, Adam Johnson, Micheal Owen, Grant Holt, Andy Johnson, Park Ji Sung, Anderson and a few more aswell!
I suspect none of these are true as Moyes has and always has never let any of his targets become public knowledge and has done this for the whole 10 years he has been at the club, so why oh why people read the paper see something about a player we clearly can't afford, get excited then get disappointed when we don't put a bid in for him!!
Moyes has already said he will sit down with Bill and discuss funds and Pienaar is someone he will try and get back here, after that depending on what's available which wont be much i suspect he will look at wingers in my opinion and possibly a striker who is really cheap or free (again in my opinion)
Unless we sell a player who can go for big money or we sell a few fringe players i can't see our transfer window being busy apart from trying to secure Pienaar and maybe 1 or 2 more on the cheap or for free.
I don't care to be honest i feel if we get Pienaar back our actual starting 11 is so strong! I then think we just need good cover on the bench (midfielder and striker) Heard that Rodellaga is free?? He would be a good option from the bench for Jelavic, quick, hard working and experience in the prem.
Anyway no matter what happens we should be positive at the start of the season, the negativity at the start of the season made me feel sick every game i went too!
COYB!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt waste 5.5m on jarvis like rather try n get moses

joe boolte {Ed025's Note - im in your camp joe..

Agree0 Disagree0

One bad season through injury and everyone jumps on the bangwagon... We're lucky to have a player like Seamus on our bench {Ed025's Note - i say give the lad a chance as well..

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't get rid of Vellios
Bobcat

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not a fan of Coleman but I think we'd be mad to sell velios at most send him out on loan to the championship where he can play regular football and gain some experience if he has a good season his price tag will rise and then selling may be an option.

I'd like to see a change in formation..

Howard

w.b - Coleman, Heitinga Distin Jagielka, w.b Baines

Holding midfield - Fellaini Rodwell

Wingers - Pienaar n Barkley

Striker - Jelavic

What do ya reckon?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Like it jags on right.3 cbs the full backs pushing .

Agree0 Disagree0

Have gibbo before rodders {Ed025's Note - me too, at the moment..

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said for years to play wingbacks since we had lescott and hobo at cb.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't play Barkley either

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont like it, think we would get held back to much, when you come across a man utd side with 5 in midfield, we would be stuck in defence finding it hard to break, and when we did break, would be asking a lot of coleman and baines to get back chasing a fast counter attacking team, this is why in moden day football, the main choice now is 4 5 1, same as 4 4 2 eveyone wants, everton simply not good enough in midfield to take on a 5 midfield team, again, held back and over run in midfield, simply bad idea in my eyes!
