Can anyone tell me what Bolasie offers that Vlasic doesn't?
Or do we have another Schneiderlin issue where he has to play poorly for weeks before Sam is forced to make a change.
Now we have a proper left back playing I believe Vlasic would thrive out wide, as he won't have to spend all his time covering the l/ b.
Bring Vlasic in for Bolasie and while we're at it bring Klassen in for Davies. One needs to be given a break, the other needs a break.

{Ed025's Note - at the moment im giving bolasie the benefit of the doubt after his serious injury woburn, that wont last for long though if he fails to improve , i do agree that tom needs a rest and to give davey a shot seems like a good idea as we can use the rest of the season trying a few new things mate..

Hey Woburn, they are 2 very constructive shouts! I have supported Sam on here when he has made certain decisions. but yes Bolasie had an assist this week. but he has flattered to decieve. And you are right. with Baines back, perhaps Vlasic deserves a go. If Lookman was still here, I would have given him a go. I see he didn't get picked this week in Germany. Young players sometimes look great at first but then fail to continue their impressive starts. And that takes me to Tom Davies. yes I agree. He is very industrious and works his socks off. I was there for his goal against Man City. wow that was Brazilian! . yet now he gives the ball away and looks lost at times. Yes Klassen should be given a go. I would guess that both will be given a go now we are at 40 points. Sam has done what he was asked to do. let's see if the guy is now willing to experiment a bit. My guess is he will. Just because he comes over as some arrogant twit does not mean he does not understand footballers and the psyche of them.

It should be an interesting team selection against Man City coming up.

Bolassie too often doesn't have a final ball and that was there even before the injury but Vlasic still has a lot to prove. Tom D does look like he needs a rest but his confidence has been hurt already a couple of times this season. Klassen - we need to see if there is a player in there - I think there is but can he show it. I also agree with some posters that Beningami deserves another runout

Let's just hope it's not Scheiderlin again.

Beningami is also a talent for sure. but likeI said. you can burnout the young players with too much exposure. I think Davies is suffering from that.

I’d love to see Vlasic given a go ahead of Bolasie. Vlasic had an eye for goal that Bolasie doesn’t. It makes sense to me that he should be given game time. Any player that weighs in with goals surely should get the nod.

Surely we are going back to square pegs in round holes putting Vlasic on the wing, unless we change formation. His best position and the one he's played in the majority of his career is through the middle.
I also don't see any point in changing a winning team, and Bolasie has 2 assists in 2 so taking him out for someone who may or may not get a goal playing out of position seems a risk.
There is an argument for resting Davies so surely Valsic or Klassen would fit straight into that position if he is going to change anything. Personally i would keep a winning side together.

Although dare I say it, maybe Schneiderlin will be in the team again. 😔.

I'd keep the same team for City and Liverpool and then start giving Vlasic and Davy a go.

They might be a winning team (2 games) , but the football, if you can call it that. Has been awful, and some players are simply cruising through games. That should not be acceptable in my opinion.

I like vlasic but I think he and his family need to shut up and him keep his head down. It might be that attitude that is keeping him out of the team.

Bolasie is a good player and he is getting sharper. However, he needs less tricks and better quality crosses. He doesn't score enough goals for me. Is he possibly replaced next year by onyekuru though?

Davies is not a number 10. In the 7 he looks so much better and he works the ball from deep really well from that position. However, who do you drop from Rooney and Gana? He is a kid though and is going to get better and better.

The traditional number 7 in a 442 would be your right winger. If you want to put him in that team he would be the 6. Let's say the CM role.
