Good luck blues. I hope you get through because we know we will give you another hiding ;)

Just out of interest Ed have you heard anymore regarding a takeover. Also if Tristan Goldberg the Third or Gandalph are reading perhaps they could feed us some more tales
Cheeks {Ed025's Note - there is nothing to speak of cheeks...i think tristan gandolph the third was a figment of his own imagination mate..

My ideal team to start the 2012/13 season would be, assuming Distin does not stay and we get around £10m transfer kitty would be:

-----------------Howard------------------
Hibbert------Jags------Heitinga-----Baines

-----------------Gibson-------------------

Donovan----Fellaini------Barkley----Pienaar

-----------------Jelavic--------------

Just noiced that barkley isnt in the reserve side today, I hope this means he gets a bit of a run out against arsenal, im not one of these evertonians that think we should throw him right in the mix but it would be nice to see, expecially at home to arsenal. really looking forward to wednesday anyway.
COYB!

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I agree I understand we can't throw him in for all there's games but don't think we have seen enough of him this year I know he was out for a year but we saw glimpses of him at the start and I was hoping for him to play bit more than he has.
The kid is built like a man so physically he is more than capable bit like Rooney was this game is a young mans game now and just think around 18 you should be breaking through especially the ones with talent they need to make there mistakes to learn from them it all comes down to handling pressure ie media and you either have it or don't now could be the right time to unleash him
And play him central more not stuck out wide I see him as a Steven Gerrard type with more skill

Agree0 Disagree0

It is annoying especially when you consider Moyes is always harping on about his age and that we have to protect him but i look around the league and the likes of Phil Jones was only 19 last month so has basically played most of the season at the age of 18 and the lad Mclean of Sunderland who is 18 who was throwing in the team at christmas and look at him now or Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain who is 18 and staring in the starting 11 for Arsenal!! There's also a few other's who are Barkley's age playing regularly for the 1st team, Moyes needs to give him a chance to prove himself, leaving him out of the first team is not going to give him a chance to prove he can make it {Ed003's Note - You will just have to go along with what Moyes sees on the training ground,at that age the body might not be ready/or maybe growth spurts,I know what you mean about the other players,maybe they are just the exception to the rule or might have growth/muscle probs soon which might hamper developement for the demands of Premier league footie}

Agree0 Disagree0

He is in football terms only 17 due to the fact that he missed a year of development due to his leg break. Yes there is the occasional 17 year old who plays bit parts but very rarely. Next year will be his breakthrough year.

Ok so we have lost our way a little bit over the last two games! But we have a chance to put things right on wednesday and saturday 2 very tough games but i think we can get 4 points out of them! And take the momentum into the replay! Hopefully moyes has learnt his lesson from last week and will play the strongest side availiable for each game! At this moment in time a semi final place and a top 7 finish is very possible! Lets see what the next 3 games brings! Coyb!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think we are getting carried away again we have been on a good run and now we have lost to the red sh"t and drew against Sunderland in the cup it's disaster time again well lost once in 11 games not bad form is it let's get behind the boys cause I feel a draw against Arsenal and beat Sunderland in cup everything will be ok again but don't panic if we loose against Arsenal as I fear them more than anyone at the moment {Ed025's Note - they are a good side...im not expecting much from this one..

Hello Eds - wondering if you could answer a question for me.

Sunderland brought almost 6,000 to Goodison... the EFC site says our initial allocation is just over 3,000 when the SOL holds much more than Goodison!

Is this an initial 3,000 and if we sell out we could possibly take 6,000?

Cheers,
Maiden {Ed025's Note - as i see it maiden, each club has their own away supporters policy...but if there is a big demand for tickets, it may be reviwed..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You have newcastle fans to blame for that, they constantly cause trouble at the SOL so we are abit funny about giving more tickets away but I heard it's 4,000 tickets with the option of Everton allowed another 2,000

Agree0 Disagree0

We heard on saturday after the game sunderland offered us the full 6000 allocation but kenwright took 3000 because you have to pay up front for the allocation major kick offs around county rd on hearing this some headed to the ground for verification which they got and yes it was correct he had indeed only opted for 3000 {Ed025's Note - rumours are rife when things like this come up...im not saying its not true, but word of mouth can distort the real truth..

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for clearing that up mate. I would imagine if that is the case we will take 6,000 up there then. Bought my tickets today - £20 bargain! COYB!!

If Wolves go down i think we should pounce for Doyle and Jarvis! Doyle is a very hard working centre forward who could even play the Tim Cahill role just behind Jelavic and Jarvis is quality for me, very under rated, quick, strong, can use both feet and play right or left, also good set piece taker, i think both would be available for 3-4 mill each {Ed025's Note - good shout that mate...they would certainly enhance the squad..

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Completely agree mate theyd be 2 great signings

so 10 games left 5 at home 5 away and a chance to get in the semi's to get a derby cup game at wembley, if i would of been told that at christmas i wouldn't of believed it!
We have to stay positive! I know we are disappointed with the derby and Moyes selection and drawing v Sunderland but look at the positives.
If we can win all our 5 remaining home games which we more than capable of doing that's 15 points which puts us onto 52 for the season, are away games are tougher Swansea and Norwich who are fantastic at home, Stoke and Man United away were we have a dreadful record and Wolves away which will be there last home game of the season and they will possibly be fighting for there lives still!
If we can manage to get 1 win and maybe a draw somewhere from them that will put us around 55/56 points which will get us a top 8 finish i believe and maybe we will have a wembley final to play??
That is somethibg i wouldn't of thought 3 months ago, so come on blue's, stay positive and keep the sell out's at Goodison coming, im a season ticket holder and the atmosphere has been awful apart from the last 4 or 5 games so keep it going and let's see what happens!!

Paul {Ed025's Note - your right paul...just after crimbo we looked as though we were going to get sucked into the relegation dog fight!...but the introduction of a few new faces gave us a big lift..to be fair, thats all we wanted at the start of the season!, a few signings to freshen things up, if we had got them then...i feel we would be challenging for europe..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Well said Paul! Think it has been a great turn around since Christmas. Let's push on and get to Wembley and then hopefully the FA cup final. I know there's still a lot to do but if we get Gibson back then I believe we can do it. I also think he should start Jelavic and Straq and see how they look together. Come on Blues! Let's get behind our team and win some matches!! By the way, has anyone got an takeover rumours.....I'm some what of a takeover fiend! Ha :)

I think im not the only one looking forward to a siging or 2 then starting very strong next season

Agree0 Disagree0

I know everyone loves to see Drethe in the starting 11 because he offers something we lack (speed, ability to go past someone, shoot from anywhere) but he can be a bit hit and miss and make mistakes, so i think are best side for the big games coming up should be;
Howard
Neville Heitinga Distin Baines
Osman Fellaini Gibson Pienaar
Cahill
Jelavic

In the cup game change Pienaar for Coleman and swap Osman and Coleman around. Bring Drenthe off the bench if needed or were chasing a game because he can change games when were behind, but for me even though people were slagging Moyes off, he is right we can't trust Drenthe from the start, too unpredictable and makes mistakes

ed, what are the chances of us getting hoilett on a free in the summer ? dan {Ed025's Note - not very good dan...he is being looked at by some very wealthy clubs, who are willing to pay him a lot more than we can offer at the moment, he is a quality player though, and i would love to see him in a blue shirt, the only way we could get him is if we get taken over by someone with big bucks..

Good Morning All....Firstly my thoughts are with fabrice, come on mate you can pull through....As for everton...well we are back to square one, 3 games in 9 days coming up and moyes will have to do the same again im afraid or he would be lynched...full team out against arsenal, then 5 or 6 rested against swansea then the replay tuesday.....not ideal but if he rested 6 against our arch enemy then he will have to do the same against swansea....possible red RS in semis, this is all the incentive we need to get through, I have a feeling though this tie will go to the wire with extra time and pens...COYB, your thoughts ED..

BATTO EFC {Ed025's Note - its going to be tough one batto!...but i still fancy us to go through, i think he will rest players for the swansea game, as he has made his feelings very clear on his priority being the F.A cup..
