If we dont sign anyone, why don't we play a 4312, we have so many central players and no wingers, it would fit our team I think.

Howard
Nev/Coleman - Jags - Distin - Baines
Arteta - Ossie - Felli
Cahill/Bily
Becks/Yak - Saha

Anyone else got the feeling this is the BK finally up, many fans have been defending him with the classics, "he loves the club" etc but I've noticed a huge amount of Evertonians have saw the light and want him out, sorry Bill. Your time is up.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

It probably is time for BK to give up the reigns. But the fact of the matter is if no-one is prepared to pay the price that he wants then unfortunately we are stuck with him

I certainly have nothing against him he just doesn't have the resources to finance a modern day football club.

All we need is a winger and a striker, if that means sacrficing the likes of Rodwell or Heitinga, so be it.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Rodwell would be the one to go in my opinion...potential...but thats what they said about Tony Grant

Everyone seems to say if we dont buy anyone we will be ok if everyone is fit. But for the last 3 or 4 seasons we have had massive injuries and never had enough quality to come in. So what if as maybe is the most likely scenario we have another injury crisis at some stage this season without a few players comming in our season could be destroyed again. Also what people seem to forget for the first 8 games of last season with nearly had a full team I think we had only 2 injuries we still had a terrible start. So for us to stay incontention we will need to bring in 2 or 3 so we can cope through out the season. Even if its 2 loans and and few quid for 1 that would help. Our squad is to small. Hope we have a great season but I fear without a few signings it could be another season as also rans and we are to big of a club for that.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Spot on mate we need a couple of players to lift our spirits and freshen up the squad.

To anyone saying Sturridge or Welbeck on loan, it WON'T happen. Alex Ferguson has already said Welbeck will be a big part of United's season and I think Villa Boas will be interested to keep Sturridge after last year.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I know Mr Whiskey face said Welbeck was part of his plans for this season but with Owen signing a new contract Berbatov still there Hernadez and Rooney first choice I think he will have a change of mind on that and allow Welbeck to go out on loan again. If Berbatov is sold then maybe not. Reserve team football could harm Welbecks progress and Whiskey face Ferguson will no this allow him to go at least till Christmas. {Ed025's Note - i am not welbeck,s biggest fan, but would gladly take him on loan..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if you see Mr Villa Boas signs a forward or 2 then can be sure Sturidge will go out on loan. Both Welbeck and Sturidge I believe will both go back out on loan after playing for clubs in front of big crowds every week last season to put them back in reserve football could seriously damage there confidence and make them unhappy. {Ed025's Note - it would be great if we get sturridge...but if not....i would take welbeck,im not his biggest fan...but maybe, with better players around him he could shine..

Sell Rodwell and buy N'zogbia and Rodallega in a combined deal for 15m and the Yak

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Rather Sturridge on a loan

Looking at our squad fellow blues do we really need all these signings everyone is asking for ?
We have one of the most consistent goalkeeper's in the league.
We have one of the best defences in the league, experience players like distin, hibbert and neville at the back and internationals like jagielka, heitinga, coleman and baines.
Midfield we have players like feliani, rodwell, arteta, all would get in any team in the prem if not europe.
Then we have osman, cahill who would run through brick walls for us in midfield and in the past have played with injury's and both versatile.
After this we have gueye, baxter, barkley, young lads with huge potential
That leaves bilyaletdinov who has the ability and could have a point to prove this season.
The only obvious problem is strikers saha is a class act but unreliable with injury's, beckford is still for me not the finished article at this level probably needs another season with us to reach his peak, yakubu dont know what's happening with him but still a proven goalscorer, needs to sort his attitude out and work rate before moyes even consider's keeping him and anichebe who for some reason got a 30, 000 contract last season
All we need is a striker, this squad is good enough to get in europe easy, with the addition of a quality striker we could push top 4, im convinced of that
Stop all the moaning about the board at least were a steady ship unlike 80% of the league.
Moyes knows what he is doing, get behind everyone at the club instead of winging like them lot across the park

Believable8 Unbelievable4

19 Jul 2011 11:59:47
is it just me or is this transfer window turning into another window where moyes shoes an interest in a player and other manager's use moyes as there scout and put bigger bids in ?
Its usually redknapp, this window it seems aston villa and mcleish are doing it, first n'zogbia and know shane long

Believable5 Unbelievable1

That's good It's Moyes's clever plan to get the other managers to sign players we do not want. We already have a French winger and 7M for Long - what a joke If he is worth 7M with no premiership experience then what is the Yak worth? Let's face it, we are not going to sign anyone. If we could afford it ( even onloan) then I would love us to get Sturridge this would be an excellent deal.

19 Jul 2011 11:11:05
I reckon we should go for Pedersen from Blackburn, of course once Moyes shows interest the rest will follow (Bruce, Pardew, Redknapp) and we will lose out.

no point in ur s**te blunose b**tard club to have a rumour page coz lets be honest your not gonna buy anyone, but dont worry if you really need it ill lend ur moyesy a tenner {Ed025's Note - the reason i am printing this post...is to show how pathetic some liverpool supporters can be!....they are not content with their own club spending £100m, on new players...they prefer to invade our site to deride us, and our financial situation!!....these are the type of people who have no morals, no dignity & no class...hang your heads in shame liverpool..

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Why dont you use that 10er towards going the match 1 week, theres plenty of lads on here who could give you directions to our old ground PADDOCKBLUE

Agree1 Disagree1

And they call us bitter. It's like Joan Collins spitting on a working class person. Yes you are rich

Agree1 Disagree1

They had a purple patch in the 70s and 80s - big deal - well done. Nothing since except that completely scabby Euro win - outclassed for 80 mins and somehow stole it. Take a bow - but what else? Now just a second tier team spending mega millions to get nowhere - ha ha.
Well at least it's the daft yanks cash I suppose. Not a good club though are they? Just a load of glory hunters hacked off cos they joined as a kid when they won things, and they're the sort of people who just have to be on a winning team - and now look at them - they can't handle the fact that their team is just a sad 6th despite spending loads - winning nothing.
At least Evertonians are proper football supporters, who like their team for whatthey are - a proper club, run properly by people who love it. OK we could do with some more cash, who couldn't, but at least we have a balanced perspective and love our club even if they don't win anything. Get used to it rednoses - you're in the same league as us in terms of abilty - though we'll always be miles ahead of you in terms of class. Class club, class supporters.

Agree5 Disagree1

The sons of yesteryear are getting mouthy cos they've got another load of cash 'again' that they're waste on s**te. We won't win the league this year and will spend two bob, them daft twxts won't win it and will spend 100 mil, just like the fat spanish waiter did. Stay on your own site, you fxcking cave man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its ok liverpool will win this league this year, like they were going to win it in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011.............. same old same old from these pathetic fans that call us bitter, but search for everton forums to put comments up ha ha.. id rather be dead than red....... everton fans have class and im proud that we are a proper club

we can't buy/loan till we sell - fact

by the time Yobo and the Yak get shifted out potential targets will have gone elsewhere eg N'zogbia, Bentner, Sturridge etc etc ..

So why can't the Board , who as Bill says "have the club at heart" dig into their pockets for a short term loan ..Lord Grantchester has very deep pockets too

* anyone matey with that couple who won the Euro mega miliions ££ ? :-) {Ed025's Note - what you must realise...is that these people are business men first and foremost, they are not going to speculate with their own money..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Ummmmmm ? wrong there ED ..didn't Bill remortgage his house and take loans out on his business to buy the club in the first place ? ..think he's made a tidy profit on it too {Ed025's Note - yes he did...but you must realise...this was not a gift...but a financial investment..if we are to believe we are valuing the club at £125m..it was a very shrewd move on his part..

Agree2 Disagree1

Not asking the Board for a gift ..just a short term loan until the sales of Yobo/Yak etc so can buy much needed striker NOW .. with a couple of new faces this could give a higher league position = more revenue , increase club value and more attractive to potential buyers ..win win win scenario ;-)

this is not a rumour post coz frankly i dont believe any of them ed soz mate but were skint... but it aint all doom an goom my fellow toffee friends. cast your mind back 12 months remember what we were all saying ... champions league.... the best team we have had for 20 odd years .... we all had hope. then we had awful luck with injuries. felli..rodders..mikky..jags..nev..ossie..vic..johnny..tiny tim.. the list goes on and are season was over. but apart from peanuts whats diffrent now. al tell you what. maggie and vellios.. and a fully fit squad so... CHEER UP BLUES .. IMWT

Believable6 Unbelievable1

My sentiments entirely. It was the injuries at crucial times that killed us last season...well and losing Tim at Xmas. As I've said before on this site, if we ain't got the dough, consolidate what we have got, and get on with it. And by the way, we have got some class players. {Ed025's Note - i have always said...even if we dont buy anyone...we will do ok...but with one or two good signings, i think we could challenge for europe...maybe more!

Agree1 Disagree1

What about Pienaar money and soon to be Yobo and Yak money...? {Ed025's Note - dont forget about the 2.5m for vaughan...but then again...yacht,s..private jets & stately homes, dont come cheap these days!!

Come on people. Bill wont sell the club, and people wont invest without a return. We have a good sqaud, i really think, if we can get out of the traps fast, we can finish 5th or even higher, and maybe win something. We will be fine boys chill. We are due a good start :)
