who can we look to as next manager, if we change

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont know mate..hoddle?..

Moyes mate

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - never mate..

Ed025: Hoddle has said how he admired the way RM changed Everton's set-up and playing style (admittedly when we were doing well last season), so would he be enough of a change? Besides, Hoddle would probably blame bad actions in past lives for any poor performances or results - rather than his (or the players') limitations!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - anything is better than what we have sid...a jim bowen clone with all this ..smashing, lovely, brilliant, malarkey...it does my swede in!..

Only joking Klopp or koeman 4 me or even ex swans manager wots his name the Dane.
They must be better bet than Norman wisdom in charge now

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - laudrup..

Ed025: re Jim Bowen - here's what he'd say to Everton fans. Right, the 23 points you've already got you you can keep. Now let's have a look at what you could have won: another record points haul, Champions League qualification, the FA Cup, the Capital One Cup, the Europa League. Never mind - thanks to Roberto you'll be going home with a Bully(s**t) trophy and the points your team has earnt so far. Have you enjoyed yourselves? Can you come back next week for another go?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it sid..

20 Jan 2015 00:41:28
Laudrup shouldn't be touched with a sh*tty stick

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you dont like anyone though swan.. :)

To be fair to Hoddle last season he did say he admired the playing style, this year the few times I've seen him when we have been playing he has picked up on what we have been doing wrong in games.

For me he can blame bad actions in past lives or the pixies that live in Stanley Park for poor performances if he likes, so long as he gives us some good ones. let's face it, it would be more believable than el Bob's BS.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right mate..

19 Jan 2015 23:47:56
I was slagged off before but I'll say it again. if man city want to give us 50m for Barkley then take it now. we have to do something before it really is too late. and after what Mirallas did today i'll the drive the "up his own arse" person to Tottenham or wherever it is he wants to go, myself. Of course West Brom clearly only came for a point but FFS we are Everton and should have ripped them to pieces. What BK should realise is managers and players will always come and go but us fans will always be Evertonians. save our club now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - 50m??...i would take 5m right now..

19 Jan 2015 23:40:04
The only thing that now matters for this season is surely to avoid relegation. That's a terrible thing for me to say about our club with its size, support, and history, but that's what I think.
I'm not bothered if we change the management now (but who's there to take over) or at the end of the season (more likely) or we give them another chance next season (doubtful given this season's results/performances and the fans' reaction), but we MUST not drop out of the Premier League. Relegation would be irrecoverable for our club, as we couldn't cope with the financial effect.
Even when we had those last-day escapes in the 1990s I didn't feel as unsure as I do now - and we've got another 16 fixtures to play!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i cant even think about that sid...my red mates are already smiling like a victim of the peaky blinders mate...if we go down my life wont be worth living..

19 Jan 2015 23:29:08
After last weeks debacle losing out on penalties to the hammers low & behold mirallas misses another spot kick against pullis ale house WBA lol.
Martinez must have known pullis game plan same as it was when he was palace manager who collected 3 precious points & Goodison last season.
Talk about being naive but again continued in same vein no plan b whatsoever.
I really fear 4 us their confidence is rock bottom can't buy a scrappy win anywhere.
Doesn't take a lot of working out with only 3 victories @ home all season were really struggling for form & right in the scrap @ bottom now.
Who in their right mind will want to sign 4 us in Jan the way were playing.
I've already given my Derby ticket to my nephew just can't face it know what's coming.
I fully expect us to be in bottom 3 after the Derby & if Martinez is still in charge after that then there's no hope.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2015 23:22:31
So 4 losses followed by 4 draws. Anyone for 4 straight wins?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - nope..

You'll be looking silly Ed when we win the league

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i will take that chance ace.. :)

19 Jan 2015 23:13:09
Sorry just watched the interviews again and really feel it was awkward for Naismith but he and RM have mugged us off with the explanation of the penalty incident!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im ok with that wakka...so long as he gets a roasting behind closed doors..

Sorry Ed025 just can't picture RM roasting anyone!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - a good finger wagging then wakka.. :)

19 Jan 2015 23:08:59
Ed. Would you be happy to sell Mirallas this transfer window?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yes ted...hes an arsehole mate..i would be happy if he took that fraud of a manager with him as well..

20 Jan 2015 09:17:47
Ed would you seriously consider selling our most creative player that is the only wide player with pace we have that can run at defenders and beat them and also put in a fairly decent cross just because of one mistake and paper talk about him wanting to leave?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - in a word sa...YES..kev is a fine player, but no one is bigger than the club, you could see the other players heads go down after that pen yesterday, and if the players are not happy then there are big problems mate..

19 Jan 2015 23:01:34
Sky rated Besic as our best player and what does RM do? I must admit I have seen some bad times over the years, but the difference from then to now is that the players back then were not really that good. These players are, but the leadership isn't there. That worries me most. If you have n leaders on the pitch players will hide and shy away from the ball. I hate to say it but we need a Roy Keane type to bollock players there on the pitch. He would have sent a rocket up Ross arse, but would have made him a better player for it. Ranting now cause I'm getting to emotional. Another night without any sleep.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - join the club mate..

19 Jan 2015 22:56:10
Noting can be added to what has already been said. Only that the last time I trudged out of Goodison feeling this depressed was a 0-0 against Coventry in 1994. Its worse than pathetic.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 23:32:20
Mate I went to the Everton v Coventry game on New Year's Eve 1983 where only 8,000 fans turned up (we were really rubbish then) and thought we would never sink that low again. Tonight was on a par with that, absolute rubbish!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 22:47:17
That's it. I am off to kick the dog. Punch the wife and open a bottle of domestos to drink.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hey...leave that dog alone!.. :)

I'll join you in the domestos, Not brave enough to take on the wife and the dog is a German Shepherd that has an attitude like Mo Besic.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it wedge..

20 Jan 2015 00:08:29
If your anything like mirallarse then the dog is safe because you'll miss it.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 22:46:50
If Mirallas went ahead and took the Peno against team orders HE HAS TO GO.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:39:49
Really don't think we will get relegated but must admit that it's the 1st time I have seen it as a possibility.
It's also the 1st time that I have thought a change of management might be for the best. I Just can't see the logic in his substitutions and persistence to play 2 dm's.
He won't get sacked though so will continue to support the club I love and just hope mirrales never plays for us again. This isn't a knee jerk reaction, have always thought he was selfish and in it for himself. Reminds me a lot of a poorer ronaldo. He's talented but I never want any of these arrogant players who thinks everything is about them playing for everton.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i said similar before the game HB...

19 Jan 2015 23:01:16
Anyone else having the knee-jerk reaction that we should get rid of Mirallas now for as much money as possible - before he runs down his contract and leaves for nothing at the end of next season?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yes..me..

19 Jan 2015 22:34:34
I started watching Everton in 1966.
Sack this Wigan person in the morning, incompetent, out of his depth.
If we had played till midnight we wouldn't have scored, their goalkeeper never made a save and our players look bewildered.
Where is the game plan?
Penalty fiasco sums up what a shambolic state of affairs this pr*ck has created at our great club.
His post match explanation of the above is embarrassing.
'We are dead' I said within minutes of his appointment, are there any of the numpties who 18 months ago who slagged me of for that commentf still on this site?
Be interested to hear your excuses for another joke of a performance.
Harry Catterick, turn in your grave.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im still here mushy...i wanted him...i also thought turkey would be good for a holiday, and that a comet hair cutting comb would save me pounds..and yes i am a knob head..

You are forgiven ed, your response was, 'That's a bit harsh Mushy' (some others were not as polite!).

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thanks mushy.. :)

19 Jan 2015 22:33:31
Are there any strong characters at our club? Martinez hasn't got the bottle to criticise our players; Bill hasn't got the bottle to sack him. Our captain doesn't exactly seem to motivate the team very well and Ross Barkley plays less attacking football than Joel. It is now becoming a farce and highly embarrassing. Martinez out

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:32:35
Can't decide which scenario is worse. mirallas is truly injured as Martinez says or he's trying to sugarcoat his insurrection. One more game to figure it out before the other lot come to town and then Europe to worry about. I admit even me and my boundless optimism are wavering a bit now. However, Still not ready to give up on this season or Europe yet.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i like it lee....and your tinted glasses mate.. :)

Look on you tube. the reaction from RM as Mirallas misses. RM screams "what the **** was that". He is sugar coating it for the press mate. Can't see him allowing Mirallas in the team for a while.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont think he should do his dirty washing in public though degs, the gutter press would have a field day..the tabloids would have the everton crest on the front page with a big crack in it!..so im ok with that...so long as he does deal with it and come down harsh on hin mate..

Agreed on that Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 22:28:39
Apologies guys.apparently p. mcnultys tweet was from a fake account. so not true.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - shame that....i wish he did get a belt..

19 Jan 2015 22:25:59
Can't we sign up a tony pulis as manager, seems a good honest British manager

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we wisk..

Come off it, would you pay money to watch the boring rubbish he serves everywhere he goes. Goodison would be empty in a month.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 22:22:06
Get Martinez out now so there is time to sign players. We have no strong characters in our dressing room so it seems

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:20:52
Im at breaking point now! Problem though is can we even afford to sack martinez? And have we got any money to bring another manager in? And is there any one out there at the moment?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - can we afford not to sack him?..

At this point probably not we are the laughing stock of the league now! But is there any realistic managers out there you can think of eds?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it wont be done any time soon kingy..BK is very loyal ...naive but loyal mate..

19 Jan 2015 22:20:32
No ratings, but haha, mirallas can go, missing on purpose trying to seal a move, arrogant person. Barkley is the worst player I have ever seen play for everton, I actually want cleverley now, he's a useless and lazy twonk and I hope he never plays for us again. Martinez needs to go as he hasn't got a clue and must play s*x games with barkley. End of the line, we ARE going down and I hope mirallas falls flat on his face when he leaves, he's let everyone down tonight, leave and never come back you horrible piece of crap, i'm really angry, even the most optimistic of fans have to admit we are in a relegation fight if we are lucky and everyone that has showed no fight and that goes for howard, coleman, distin, baines, barry, barkley, pienaar, mirallas, mcgeady and martinez get out of this club NOW. they've all ruined any love they have from me, would the real everton please stand up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

Don't know how you can put baines on that list.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i thought he was very poor tonight HB..

Yeah but ed can't accuse him of showing no fight. He wasn't at his best but still give 100 per cent.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he had fight HB...but wheres the quality gone..the overlap, the whipped in crosses, the corners?..effort will only get you so far in this league mate..

Poor because of the tactics. We try to play through the conjested middle all the time. On the few occasions where Coleman or Baines get the ball out wide, it is when their fullbacks are supported by their wide midfielders.whoever we are playing. This is because we want to play it around before getting it forwards. Hence 69% possession but no penetration.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, I would give garbutt a chance but my response was in regards to swan saying that Baines isn't giving all is heart, which he can never be accused of.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair enough..

Baines delivery was poor - and has been for most of this season.
Barkley was totally ineffective tonight.
Mirallas? If he'd scored from the penalty kick and we'd got the victory, then he'd be a hero - but he didn't, and we again failed to win, and he isn't!
Joel had nothing to do - thankfully, or we might not have even got one point.
Our other players were OK in parts imho, but - for all their possession and occasional flurries of urgency - we failed to create (let alone convert!) any half-decent chances.
Thank goodness that WestBrom clearly came for the draw - any other team with more ambition would have probably turned us over. Does anyone think we'll get anything in our next two fixtures: away to Palace or home to the darkside? I fear two clueless displays and two inevitable defeats. Then we'll be well and truly down in the relegation mire!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats the beauty of this game sid...im going for us to scrape a win at palace, and give the reds a damn good thrashing.. :)

19 Jan 2015 22:19:54
So obvious that the club has problems for me? Maybe the problem is Mirrallas?? Bobby talking drivell as per usual?? I think he needs his marching orders. But who do we get next??

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - anyone with a brain..

19 Jan 2015 22:19:34
Sorry RM I cannot believe your explanation Gary Neville is spot on! even If he was confident he shouldn't have taken it if he had a hamstring injury, even Sunday players know that
There's no leadership! on or off the pitch!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:11:14
Embarrassing. That is all. I said earlier that we would not go down, however on watching that load of crap I am going to be wrong aren't I. All are thanks should go to Bobby Shoeshine.

I have been calling for this clowns head for weeks but this is becoming ridiculous. The club is on it's arse and needs something to happen quickly to sort this mess out.

We are Everton
#Wedontwinanything
That's what we do
Martinez Out

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im not going to call you negative mike any more...its honest mike from now on mate..

19 Jan 2015 22:08:52
I don't care if I'm branded fickle. That was the most disappointing performance I've seen for a long time. Not disappointing because of our lack of control on the game, but because of the lack of chances we make. Everybody in the box waiting for a cross, what do we do? Pass it 57 times around the outside and then surrender possession. Enough is enough. Besic was our best player tonight, he gets subbed, but Barry stays on? Unbelievable. The players look scared to shoot, for fear of losing the ball. If we would've actually had a few shots, we may have won the game there, there were so many ripe opportunities not taken. And the less said about Mirallas, the better. This was the last straw for me, Martinez surely has to go. Replacements? I'd go for Slaven Bilić - former player, okay he did have some issues off the field, but surely coming back as a manager, he can atone for them? In the meantime I worry for our club. I was fortunate enough to be too young to see the mike walker days, but from what I've heard, this isn't much better. Unbelievable

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

Ed can you honestly see any way out of this? I don't know what's happening to our club

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - only if we act now bloo..

19 Jan 2015 22:07:33
disgraceful. enough said not worth the time or energy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:06:22
I am sure there will be lots of posts on here tonight and here is one from the heart. We look like we are going down. I have had a few spats with people in the past regarding how poor Martinez is after Moyes. The players we have signed have been poor. I have no pleasure saying that I predicted nil nil to my son after reading posts of winning 2 1 and other scores. Our play is so slow and one dimentional. Again 69% possession but precious few chances. No real width and certainly no crosses from overlapping full backs. All the work Moyes did getting us with so many goals and assists from the full backs has gone. Neither Baines nor Coleman are there when central midfielders are breaking out. Unfortunately the problem must lie with the manager and I don't see how the penalty decision was allowed to develop.ie Mirallas taking it. The captain or senior players should have stopped Mirallas taking it. I really think we are going down now. The reason I think this is because I don't think we are flexible enough to try different tactics. My final point is Osman played in 4 of our 5 wins. He played in only 1 loss. We need him back asap. Think about that .20 odd games in and only 1 win without Osman.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont think this is the time for i told you so,s mate..

Id be suprised if we see osman back mate

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 22:25:23
OH SHUT UP!

Agree0 Disagree0

Like I said Ed.no pleasure whatsoever on this. Just been watching Carragher and Neville on Sky and they said exactly the same re the penalty. I think RM is not in control of this bunch of players. I have never been one to say "sack the manager" but we need a Pulis type character to get hold of these players, organise them into a bunch of hard working, aggressive, fighting team. Listening to Pulis on Sky, he says he is trying to bring in a few to help the fight. RM says we have enough. We play with incredible spirit and by the sounds of it.don't need Eto'o. We can all relax then!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree with that degs...but its the wrong time to bring out the osman and moyes are great pony fella..

Sorry Ed, but I really believe it. Would you be saying it if we were discussing Ronaldo or Messi? You must admit now that we HAVE gone backwards. Even RM suggested we are missing Ossie and Pienaar. But I have to agree with another post from earlier. Why play Barkley just behind the striker, Naismith as the right sided midfielder and Mirallas on the left? Thus leaving Oviedo on the bench. Surely it should have been Mirallas on the right, Naismith behind Lukaku (his best position) and Oviedo on the left. It goes back to round pegs in round holes.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree with all that degsy..my only problem is you banging the ossie and moyes drum at this sensitive time mate..

19 Jan 2015 22:05:48
Ladies and gentlemen please pick out the fixture we will win from now till the end of the season. Exactly. None. We will be relegated under this guy. So much history down the pan. But hey we were apparently magnificent

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2015 22:03:28
Never really been one for getting rid of managers, well not since Walker. But seriously the decisions this guy is making are crazy. We are playing a team that can't be arsed to cross the half way line, and we still stick with two defensive midfielders, one of which can only last 30mins. And in any other team Ross would have been dropped by now. God we are so bloody slow. Ruined my bloody birthday ggggg.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - happy birthday mate..

19 Jan 2015 22:02:28
Hmm, we had it and alas no courage. We are the lion without heart. 1 win in 13. That's nigh a third of a season wasted. Right now, its points that matter and the 4 point gap to next place needs closing. RM eat your pride and stop this waste. Your job, just in case you have forgotten, is to get us to the CFL. I am a VP of a large company. I will be telling you right now that first thing tomorrow I want to see the plan. No plan? I am not worried as I ring HR for the separation notice to be prepared.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have people at the Club that know more about the game or at least flexible tactics than Roberto, the likes of Sheedy and yes Ferguson (either as a second to Hoddle or Hoddle as advisor). Added to that I agree with others that with WBA having 10 men behind the ball, why persist with 2 defensive midfielders or even change the shape. Unfortunately we know that Bill will not make the decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:02:26
Two things:
Why didn't Jagielka take the ball off Miralles, and tell him to F off
Why take of Besic instead of Barkley.

One more: Bye bye Roberto

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - because jags is weak..

So now we know there is a problem a couple of problems actually, Roberto has lost the dressing room (discipline) and a couple of players are getting to big for their boots. Where is Roberto by the way talking to the press, why leave it to Naismith.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 22:02:04
Well where do you start, pullis did exactly what we expected shame RM didn't notice after 10 mins and adjust our style. Why 2 defensive midfielders when WBA sat 10 men deep! Even with 15 to go he should have gone 442 or 433, anyway so many players below par, no confidence and scared to make a mistake!
Besic off arguably our best performer Barry on WTF
Barkley overhyped and poor more like 4m than 40!
Coleman poor no quality in his final ball, Lukaku poor no idea about positioning, Naismith worse game yet, jags very nervous! Mirallas talk your way out of this one! And RM well like Nero he fiddled as Rome burned!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:01:30
Enough is enough. Please bill end this shambles. No penetration no unity no passion. With every passing game no wins and yet the same after match drivel from the manager. Do it now bill bafore its too late.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 22:01:14
Good grief that was painful! The whole team with the exception of Besic were dreadful. Barkley has lost his confidence, never seen him play so negatively. Very concerned for us this season. The manager is clueless.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 21:58:33
For everyone still supporting this clueless clown or singing his name, the tonight should be a lesson for you.

That tonight is as good as we can play, and we did not create one single opportunity, we looked directionless and lacked creativity, there was a lack of movement, organisation and leadership, this was emplified by 'want a away kev' breaking club protocol and pre match tactics (that's of there actually are any) and taking the penalty, at that stage either the captain, manager or one of the senior players should've stepped in, I can only imagine what occurred in the dressing room at half time for kev to be sub'ed. we are in deep deep trouble, if the rot is not stopped now I guarantee we will be relegated.

furious and angry tonight at how far our great club has be dragged down!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - and me mate..

19 Jan 2015 21:57:35
i want rm gone, he is well out of his depth, his tactics and subs have been very poor, players out of position constantly, subs crap and to top it off takin the best player on the park off continuously, am sry but he guy is not cut out be be a top manager, and for all you that say or think he is need to have a word with yaself. look at the facts WIGAN ALL OVER. sack him now b4 we are relegated!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yep..

19 Jan 2015 21:56:03
Right i'm done with RM now! sack sack sack him! call me a false fan or whatever! the teams clearly not happy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im wih you lancer..

19 Jan 2015 21:52:39
That was worst of the lot baines is so bad now it's upsetting he had lead boots, we don't look confident energised focused, a complete sham.

I now seriously fear for our safety!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we should all be ant..

19 Jan 2015 21:49:44
Well one things for sure. We ain't going to attract any top talent if they're watching tonight's performance. Never looked like a threat even on the attack. And the discontent in the squad is there for all to see.

With a single striker every time the ball was played to Lukaku there were 4 men on him in seconds.

Unless there's a change of management we need to look to the loan market for some options.

And anichebe. Well he hasn't changed since he left has he. Still a busy fool.

Hopes for the season are now solely 1 thing. Stay in the premiership. Which sould be easy for a squad with this talent but we're not making it easy for ourselves are we.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - no..

19 Jan 2015 21:47:41
"We were magnificent, Barry wad extraordinary in his character I felt the team were exceptional and if we get relegated it won't be because we were not sensational."
Guranteed quote. Do one

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2015 21:45:06
. I can hear Bobby now -"we we outstanding.we actually kept a clean sheet, well done to my players!"

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Will probably add it was tactical for Baines not to take the penalty.

Absolute rubbish. Have sky cameramen got instructions not to focus on Kenwright.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 21:41:03
At the begining of this game I was worried now i'm honestly rubbishting myself. Wtf is going on!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2015 21:39:26
Besic off ahead of Barry again. Roberto is a person end of. Lost our best player through his dog excrement as well. Running our club in to the ground. How long before full on fan revolt?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2015 21:38:42
. you what - Besic off???? For Kone??!!?? Judging by the loud boos ringing round the ground currently, the majority of the everton fans feel the same way?!?? Looks like Bobby can't do substitutions properly either like everything else!! This is a shambles!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2015 21:37:32
Seriously?? That has upset me I think I may start a petition to get martinez out, besic was brilliant Barry should of come off, disgusting

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im as sick as a sea going parrot mate..

19 Jan 2015 21:28:29
I think we got the making of a good team, besic, stones, baines, garbutt, McCarthy, Barkley, Coleman, lakuku, mirallas, lesson, Robles,, to many DM midfielder and not enough playmakers eg pienaar and Osman, arteta

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yeah..l look forward to those trips to norwich and wolves..

19 Jan 2015 21:23:15
2 things. 1) boy, west Brom can defend! 2) Mo Besic is outstanding, a future world footballing star, forget Barkley - sell him for 50 million & laugh all the way yo the bank & build the team around Besic, he us simply outstanding!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - 50m...hahaha...turkish lira?..

. drachma seems more fitting! Seriously though ed, Barkleys been utter tosh again!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - tell me about it mate..

19 Jan 2015 21:19:31
Hes a good player but no where near as good as he thinks he is! Put a price tag on him and let him go soon as. Get rid of him and anybody else who thinks they are more inportant than the team. makes me sick!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i second that kingy..

19 Jan 2015 21:04:55
Well that tells us everything about team spirit. Looks like certain players leaving won't be missed by the rest?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it looks that way WB..

19 Jan 2015 20:57:23
Mirrales you see you next Tuesday. Not only for being the greedy guy I know you are but I had a bet on baines for 1st goal scorer.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - unlucky mate..

19 Jan 2015 20:56:14
Wtf was that Mirallas manufacturing a move or is he desperate to do well for the team?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes just a total prick wakka..

19 Jan 2015 20:52:51
Tip tap toe. tip tap toe. tip tap toe. nothing's changed folks & we've missed a penalty.the gaffers clueless, he won't change his tactics, he cannot change his tactics, no penetration going forward. sorry get rid! Utter tosh once again!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im starting to think the same zacki..

19 Jan 2015 20:52:41
WTF is going on? Baines scores 15 out of 16 penalties, so Mirallas takes over from him in probably our most important game this season.
Is that a managers decision?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - no degs its kevs....hes up himself mate..

19 Jan 2015 20:51:30
what an effing person Mirrallas is!

Baines is the penalty taker but arrogant Mirrallas holds the ball away from him

he deserves his knackers kicked for that

same old toothless possession

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note -if he as a mars bar he would eat himself..what a tosser, baines takes the pens ffs..

19 Jan 2015 20:50:24
I wonder if mirallas was trying to put himself in the window abit more and failed not only did it hit the post but was along the floor foster would of saved,
I think baines needs to be dropped he can't beat a man with any cross, was barkley playing?
I would seriously welcome Lennon he would pull defence out wide allowing lukaku more room! We have flair players who have no flair.
Let's hope for a faster second half 3 passes going forward please

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 20:26:07
I really fell sorry for oviedo, I just wish robbie would play him on the left and mirallas on the right and naismith is NOT a winger. Moyes played him there and it destroyed his confidence.
Verdict so far - we are soooooo slow.!!
Maybe it's our new tactic of boring the other team asleep.
Time for some beer as it's going to be along match

Might only be wba but this is the biggest game of our season so far
Win well and we've finally turned the corner

Lose and we will be in a touch and go dog fight all season

Win and I can see us going on a run

Lose and I can't see where we can win again

Win and our manager might get his act together

Lose and I fear We will be parting ways with el bob

If we don't get a performance out of the boys tonight something is definately wrong I want to see 11 players going for the kill and fighting for the cause tonight. Come on everton its now or never!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - good rallying call that kingy...i hope bob says the same thing in the dressing room mate..

19 Jan 2015 19:40:46
Not an Everton comment exactly, but for all blues feeling er. well, blue at the moment, you could lift your spirits a bit with a boss film I saw last night called "Next Goal Wins", about the American Samoan football team winning a game for the first time ever in their country's history (coming back after setting the world record for most goals scored against them in a World cup qualifier - vs Australia 31-0!). Team were made up of local workmen, a soldier, a schoolteacher, some bloke from the MLS (who found out he was a bit Samoan, so was eligible) and a transvestite! Really lifted my mood. Watch it and you will see a passion that our players desperately need back. Although If we lose 32-0 tonight, I'll take full responsibility for being a massive jinx.

IF ROBERTO WON THE EUROPA LEAGUE AND WE FINNISHED COMFORTABLE IN THE LEAGUE, WOULD PEOPLE STILL WANT HIM TO BE MANAGER OR GET RID?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would still want him.....stop shouting though daz..

I like Roberto edd, I think he will turn it around with a 3.0 win tonight.

Worst nightmare is Victor scoring against us and a loss. More likely is Berahino unless we keep him quiet. let's hope for a decent game by the ref too. We have had some stinkers by refs this season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we have had some bad refs degsy, and thats why for me jags lets us down as our captain, he should be right in their faces when we get a bad call, like roy keane used to, as you have a better chance of getting the next one, jags is too nice imo mate..

Yes Ed, I am afraid it is all part of being successful these days. Sir Alex Ferguson was the master of playing the FA and refs. Comments from him just before and after games were always aimed at putting pressure on both the FA and individual refs. Morinho has taken over that mantle and did it again this weekend. Short memory about Cahill diving the previous week, but going on about the penalty they should have had for the foul on Fabregas. Look at any of the Champions League contenders and al their managers do it. Their players all surround the ref without reprisals too. Yet that is even in the rules. Watch Rooney say f*** off to the ref when a decision goes against him. I counted one where he said it over 30 times each time he ran past the ref. One of our players says it once and they are in the book! The only reason it happens is the pressure put on the ref by their club. Yet ours does not?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree degs, sometimes we are too nice for our own good mate..

It should be Mo Besic that has a word with the ref, Ed. Or less of a word, more a thousand yard stare, as he just stands there pointing at him and then starts licking his lips, menacingly. That would do it, Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree OHEFB, him and naisy are the only nasty pieces of work that we have...we need more mate..

19 Jan 2015 18:27:11
So if Bobby does get the sack Ed, who would you like to see get the job out of;
Bilic, McClaren, Perriera, Zola, Pulis, Moyes, Klopp, Clarke, Koeman, Laudrup, Redknapp, Southgate?!?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - klopp 100% zacki...he wants to come to the EPL..but we would have stiff competition mate..

. Klopp would be some appointment Ed.can't see it happening til the end of the season at the earliest though.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it deffo wont happen before that mate..

No chance of Klopp whatsoever

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if we cant get jurgen klopp...then i would go for his brother.... klipperty.. :)

19 Jan 2015 18:12:15
We will win tonight. If we don't, I promise to spare all posters and eds my crazy sense of unfounded optimism. But we will win, I swear it. Coyb

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if we dont lant...i will hold you responsible mate.. :)

19 Jan 2015 17:27:43
Hate to say it folks, it's a must win game tonight. If we don't we are in serious trouble to say the least!! Next run of games in premiership as follows - Palace A, Kopites H, Chelsea A, Leicester H, Gunners A, Stoke A. Scarey run of games. Let's hope Mirrallas let's his boots do the talking before he makes a decision on a new contract. I hope he stays but I fear he will leave for a CL club.Hopefully with the same commitment shown against the Hammers we can get out of this mess!! Get down to Goodison and support your team, THE TEAM NEEDS IT MORE THAN EVER NOW. COYB.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - good sentiments lemur mate..

Just about to leave the house and go bust a lung or two in support. Agree it is a must win, here is hoping!

Agree about the run of games, but remember the Europa games are in there too! It's not going to be easy.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right there wedge..

never mind buying new players!
take the money, go down to SOUTHAMPTON & sign
Koeman for what ever it takes, & do it now!
he would save us this season, & make us a force for next season.
Either way Marmite man is a busted flush, & so is Kenwright, I'm so angry about the state of our great club I could swear! f'n hell I just did.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - why would koeman leave the saints though hendo?, they are a decent club who have money to spend and are in a champions league spot..

I find it strange that we haven't done any business in this window (yet)

we desperately need a keeper however this is the thing .

Would BK et al put funds in the hands of one foot out of the door manager?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think bill is using the transfer kitty to buy paint stripper to remove that smug grin off the stand.. :)

19 Jan 2015 16:46:19
it seems so many want RM sacked on here, BUT no one has offered an alternative to replace him?
And please no Howard Kendall, Joe Royle, Duncan Ferguson . etc

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - thats why i think that whatever happens he will see the season out wakka..then hopefully klopp in the summer mate..

Agreed Ed025 but do you think Klopp would come to a non CL club?
however weren't the Spurs fans calling for Pochitino's head early on and he has certainly turned things around in time, and no excuses for Europa league!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he is for me the best of who will be available wakka...aim high i say mate..

I think with the current squad (correctly managed of course )

We should brave it out and take the plunge!

The team has been, by common consensus acclaimed, and highly regarded individually as well as collectively

So what discerning coach employed or otherwise wouldn't consider EFC right now?

Titanic and deckchairs have been previously mentioned

Seeing it out to the end with this ships Captain is not my ideal option!

we go down and he sneaks into one of the lifeboats, no thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair play to you 247...

If ed is going for Klopp then I am going for Pep Guardiola.

Knowing Kenwrong though, it will probably be Uwe Rosler.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - or harry redknapp.. :)

At the end of the day its Koeman's first season let's judge him next year after the board have again sold the crown jewels!

Ahead of the game tonight, my lovely wife has appealed within her prayers to bestow on the famous blue compassion to all its fans and deliver up a win. I love her for that because for the past 33 years she has never offered an opinion on my beloved football team other than her very occasional, "my Grandmother could have done better".

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mine has even offered to go out and not look at a Telly, now that is what I call loyalty, seeing as how I am off to the game ;-)

19 Jan 2015 16:25:14
Such a huge game for our club tonight. We absolutely have to win. If we don't I think along with qpr, villa hull and Leicester we will be left as a bottom 5 fighting for our lives with a style of play that doesn't allow us to fight and a manager too arrogant to change things to make us fight. West Brom, Palace with their 2 managers will stay safe. We lose tonight and we are right in the dog excrement.
Come on blues had a crap start to the year personally don't need my one supposed joyful outlet causing me more stress.
Win tonight, win 3 of the next 5 and we can hopefully write off the league and try and have a bit of fun in the europa.
Barkely to score and assist lukaku in a 4-1 win. COYB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - us to score 4 svenny?....hmmm..

Three most likely scorelines imo

2-1, 1-1 or 1-2 .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the last 2 are not an option for me 247...im at the end of my tether as it is mate...that would push me over the edge..

2-2 with our defending? but I believe 1-0

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would take that wakka..

There is no chance, and I mean absolutely no chance that we are going to get relegated. I am the most negative person on here and even I know we won't go down.

Queens Park Raisins, Leicester, Burnley, Hull and Aston Nilla will all definitely finish below us.

And as a gift to Ed025 I will get rid of my sign off. I'm good like that you see.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - put it back mike!...you know i like something to moan about mate.. :)

Well you are definitely more positive than me, if we carry on in the same vein and the Teams below us carry on then our couple of points will soon be chipped away. I went to all our games last year and there was some first season luck and good play but an awful lot of the games were very very close. Even last season Teams had chance after chance at us and you could see the Wigan in Roberto.

Agree0 Disagree0

For crying out loud, Real Mike, put it back on. I'm so used to seeing your usual brand of cantankerousness, that seeing it gone, It's like the banter page equivalent of walking in on you in the toilet.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 15:19:41
Sampdoria expect Samuel Eto'o in Genoa tomorrow ahead of a potential move from Everton, and Tottenham could offer Aaron Lennon to Everton in bid to land Toffees forward Kevin Mirallas, when your having a rough patch don't the press jump on any piece of rubbish!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - dont they just wakka..

If Mirallas's agent has anything to do with it, I'd expect the player to run down his contract with us and then leave on a free - so that the club KM moves to doesn't have to pay a transfer fee, but instead pays him a huge signing-on fee, higher wages, etc., and the agent takes a big chunk of those.
What I will say is that Mirallas has been playing well - and pretty effectively - this season, so no complaints about him bottling out or suchlike! Maybe he's playing for a move, but if he keeps us up this season, then at least he's done his bit.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i suspect you may be right sid..not only are agents the lowest form of life on gods earth, but kev comes across as a bit of a mercenary to me..

He still has a contract to 2016, I think this summer will be make or break for KM, I think he will sign if we have a better second half of the season and RM can convince him that we will progress, but think CL sides will also be interested!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think kev will want to see how we improve our team.your not going to want to sign a new contract if we sign players like Westwood, maloney and the like. Players like ayew, perisic and even higher quality are what we should look at.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you may be correct dentie..

19 Jan 2015 14:29:13
. I think if we get well beaten tonight Bobby will be sacked!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No he won't

Agree0 Disagree0

.well he should be if we get well beat tonight! Our results, performances, defending, corners & set-pieces (or lack of) & league standing are simply unacceptable!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - hard to argue with that zacki..

I would sack the clown even if we win.

We will win tonight anyway as West Brom are absolute crap. (I know we are aswell, we just aren't as crap as them)

We are Everton
#Wedontwinanything
That's what we do
Martinez Out

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i feel that if we did win something that it would break your heart mike, you seem to have a masochistic streak mate.. :)

I cannot see him sacked Zacki however if he hasn't had a serious tap on the shoulder and a finger wagging reminder that we are not a regular flirt with the drop,

then a bad result or even a good
result but a poor unconvincing performance tonight
will be the 'red letter day' some of us have been waiting for (me personally quite some time ) the game should finally be up and we can move forward!

Pulis like the rest of 'em' is fully aware of RM's weaknesses and it's very difficult to be optimistic about any team that we play and imo he has once again been sussed the players know it too.

Agree0 Disagree0

I want us to win a trophy more than anything ed mate. It is the reason I wanted Moyseh to get sacked about 8 years ago. We were going nowhere under him, and we are going nowhere under Bobby Shoeshine.

You must agree that 1 FA cup in 28 years is embarrassing. So technically my signoff is correct.

We are Everton

{Ed025's Note - im not saying you are wrong mike..i just dislike seeing it in print mate.. :)

19 Jan 2015 13:31:02
Its been a long time since my last post, I'm not usually critical of current managers but I've bitten my tongue for long enough. Martinez, despite a good first season, seems to have lost the fans and (if the papers are correct) the dressing room. I know we have had more than our fair share of bad decisions and I know that this can affect not only results (obviously) but the confidence of the players. The trouble is he doesn't seem to be able to think of anything other than his preferred method of playing. Pretty football is fine if your riding high and getting the rub of the green however I'm not sure he's the sort of man who can adapt our play or even admit we have problems let alone resolve them. I can honestly say his optimism and praise after defeats is really starting to iritate me. Last year during the world cup Hodgson played Rooney on the wing (out of position) in order to accomodate him. Baines suffered through no cover and was crucified by their winger, Martinez is doing the same thing week in week out. He needs to play his best player in each position anything else is a recipe for disaster.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not a lot i can argue with there popeye..nice to hear from you mate..

Get beat tonight and I think its time to get rid of Bobby. Like most of us we where all excited last season with the way things where going, and the style and manner of our play. This season we have gone backwards for numerous reasons, but mainly with the managers refusal to accept his tactics are not working, no plan b, square pegs round holes etc. Now after reading his comments in the papers over the weekend with the comparisons of his survivals every year and eventual relegation with Wigan to the way our season has gone so far, I am starting to get very very nervous. FFS this is Everton football club not Wigan, wake up and smell the cofee will you Bobby. 1 win out of 12 games is relegation material and the games left are getting less and less by the week.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Been saying the same thing for the same reasons and getting slaughtered for it. Its not as if you can blame the press for making it up, it is interview after interview.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh agree lose tonight and BK must have some serious thinking to do as we all know that once you get into that relegation battle it's very hard to get out of with teams fighting for their lives. I still believe the players don't like RM although he denies it and say's everything is rosy! don't buy it myself I think because of dodgy tactics subs and playing our top players out of position he has lost the top players i.e the ones that got to where we were last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2015 05:22:00
I cannot believe we balanced the books last year and were looking forward to this year. (albeit on a form slump the last 6 games) We then buy Rom for 10 mil over value, pay 100k a week for a "34 year old" and then think of selling him to balance the books. Why the hell did we buy him in the first place? He hasn't set the world alight but I have seen worse. It is a bit like a youngster spending his first weeks wages on a fancy TV and not being able to pay the electric bill to watch it. What the hell is going on in the Everton accounts department?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He won't be on 100k and it looks as though he is going to play first team football which is something we can't offer him. He is not a particularly vital member of the first team squad so getting rid is no big deal. Also lukaku though he was very expensive is also a long term investment. We have a player who is 21 and has scored plenty of goals in the Premiership. He will get better and quality strikers cost lots of money. We haven't had a quality striker in a long time and personally I would rather have spent 28 million on rom than the safer amount of 15 million or so on a Shane long or yakubu type player. Rom will be a world class striker in the future and he plays for the might blues.

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the reasons he was brought in, is he is cheap and has managed Clubs on smaller budgets than ours. It is not only Roberto that gets up my nose with his rosy rhetoric and no answers but Bill also with his wearing of heart on sleeve, tears in his eyes speeches just seems to rejoice in his own personal play thing Everton. Is Stallone the best we can do, FFS. Where is our Paul when we need him.

Things I would like to see against west brom
1 A win
2 A clean sheet
3 Besic to play 90 minutes
4 A corner that beats the first defender
5 A goal from a corner
6 No Aiden McGeady (suspended get in)
7 A good referee

That list is a bit ambitious if you ask me I reckon youll get two possibly three from that wish list excluding McGeady which is a given. We can dream though
