just to let you guys know, I watched the Toulouse game and Capoue played CB was very composed likes to play to feet and is a good tackler he didn't have a lot to do to be honest they won 2-1 wasnt the best game but he'd be a good addition. Dan1

All this hype of mirallas coming back.I know he's a quality player just hope for us he's not always injury prone"not being negative or anything towards us its just a thought"I hope am wrong"coyb {Ed025's Note - you are mate, the guy got injured, and for the love of wanting to play for the club, came back too early..thats the sort of commitment i respect..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He played 4 seasons without an injury before he joined us

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Ed, was rushed back, not prone

Agree0 Disagree0

And this is why he has taken such a long time to return.. Moyse said he would only be out for a couple of weeks, then on good advice it was extended to be absolutely sure.

This guy will have the same impact as peanut and jelly did at the back end of last season.

hi guys..Ed 025- here..a relation of mine needs our help, just over a year ago, his son aged 12 died in a swimming baths in liverpool. If a diffibulator had been on site, his life would have been saved, and his father is petitioning for all public buildings to have these in place, so if you would, please sign the E-petition which if successful could save another childs life...cheers guys

Thanks for highlighting a truly worthwhile cause Ed. It's a shame really that the government has to be petioned to try and make things like this happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Ed, just a quick query in relation to your appeal; have you posted it on all the clubs sites or just ours? My thoughts (for what they're worth) is that if it was on all the sites the response would be huge.
I know we all have our own clubs but something like this is in the interest of everyone up and down the land.
Moody Blue {Ed025's Note - most of the eds have posted it moody, we are hoping for a good response mate..

Cool, fingers crossed for a big response and enough votes to get it into parliament and hopefully common sense will prevail.

See Barkley had a good game today for Leeds...On-loan Everton midfielder Ross Barkley put in an impressive performance as Leeds ran out 1-0 winners against Bristol City at Elland Road this afternoon.

Barkley's biggest contribution came just before the hour mark when he crossed excellently from the right
to set up Ross McCormack at the back stick. McCormack found the net and put the Whites ahead and the goal turned out to be the winner.....Johnnyboy..

Difficult for Moyes to make the first move for any Midfielder, coz if its accepted and he signs, that's when clubs will try out the buyout clause on Fellaini. Its like a sign to them were letting him go...

I would be very happy if we get to the end of January with exactly the same squad. If nobody leaves and Mirallas plays in the next 15 games then the top four is an outside chance. The next two games are massive. COYB.

Not panicking at all yet Phil, I know Moyes and Bill have a plan which they will sort out, some people saying we missed out on a few players but we were probably never even in for them

It will all come good as always, trust in Moyes

Bit worried tbh we need some quality to push for CL

If we had the cash i'd try and get him, it would give howard some serious competition which he needs, and also decent young goalees are hard to find and he's available for a reasonable price, and I think in time he will be a top goalkeeper, were we would either get 10yrs out of him or make a decent profit.

Does anyone think Pardew had a premonition when he said Newcastle were playing in a different league to Everton? I hope he takes em down the smug 'person' {Ed025's Note - me too mate..

Degsy

In all fairness boys, its not the fans fault you've got to feel sorry for them! I do agree though about pardew what gives him the right to think he is better than us... in his dreams!.. Johnnyboy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Degsy, its in his contract that if they sack him they only pay off the rest of that season, not the rest of his contract

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2013 21:19:21
Thought they would have a clause in it mate, never liked Pardew but wouldn't want them to go down because a cracking club with great fans

Degsy {Ed025's Note - love the fans degs..like the club..but no time for pardew..

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle are a great club with a great history and great fans but after what Pardew said about EFC last season then as far as I am concerned I hope they drop to the lowest league possible. If however, they sack Pardew then I wish them all the best.

Gary hooper bid rejected from norwich"come on moyes if we aren't got the whole cash for him could offer player plus cash"what you reckon peeps ??

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Why? why get rid of a player to get in a player who isn't better than any player we already have?

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you on about? How is Gary Hooper not better than the likes of the players we'd offer in the deal? He'd be a superb addition! I think the first commenter must be on acid or something Ed. {Ed025's Note - very good player IMO..

I noticed ANGEL RANGEL from swansea helped the homeless people the other night, I just want say its getting published very well on BBC, SKY, PAPERS etc but didn't our STEVEN NAISMITH do something with the homeless few weeks ago I didn't see this get a mention on BBC, SKY, PAPERS.everyone seems to be praising RANGEL for what he has just done.as a passionate evertonian I want to praise STEVEN NAISMITH. {Ed025's Note - he did mate...well said..

I was talking to Angel Range the other week. He lives local to me. It doesn't surprise me at all he did this because I don't think I have come across a nicer man. He was amazing with his kids too. A good person and seems to have his kids in line too.

As for Naisee, well there aren'tenough in his pposition doing that... So well done .

Here's hoping for 3 points on Monday

I know everyone on here likes to post rumours about us signing a player "in a couple of days" but the fact is we have no money, I'd expect us to be signing somebody this month but I can see it being a loan on the last day of the window. Unless we are selling someone to buy which I doubt with Moyes saying he doesn't want to lose anyone.
Who would people like to see? Me, personally If it was just one signing I would like to see another centre mid, wouldn't mind that lad we missed out on in the summer vadis odijida?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Fact is you don't know we have no money. "Yeah but Moyes said we have none" is what you'll say if I don't carry on. Moyes is hardly going to say "OK everyone, I have £15m and I want to sign Toulouse's player Capoue for £8m." If Moyes says we have cash to splash then opposition teams will want more money because they know we have it (Man City a prime example).

It's called "keeping your cards close to your chest".

I'll take all that back if you can show proof that we have no money.

You can't sign a player in a few minutes. Some times it can take weeks, even if clubs agree a fee in the first day of the window.

Keith EFC. {Ed025's Note - i think your right keith..

Agree0 Disagree0

I know what your saying mate but go and look at the club accounts published on the official website last month. We have no money for transfers. I think we are due 4 million from Man City this summer for the Rodwell sale according too the accounts but that depends on appearances and he hasn't made many!

Would any of the Everton ed's and fans take a punt on Frazier Campbell, heard he is available on a free and with our obvious limited funds, could be a worth a risk on a free till the end of the season, still only 23 I think and when he is fit, he is quick and has an eye for goal. Opinions welcome? {Ed025's Note - not for me mate, i just cant see how he would improve the squad..

Believable0 Unbelievable9

He is gash

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty poor that the original post asked for opinions and people have just pressed disagree button. My opinion, not for me mate, he had potential a few years ago but injurys have ruined him.

Hello ed025! You have been spot on about a couple of transfers in the past, especially the Jelavic deal.
Anything you have heard lately regarding any deals coming in this January?

Cheers

COYB THE CITIES FIRST 1878 {Ed025's Note - there is nothing definite on the grape vine mike, but i am sure we will be seeing one or two new faces coming in soon mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

What like ED? I'll tell you...crappy loan signings on deadline day a la segundo castillo {Ed025's Note - we will see...but why you are so negative is beyond me..

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks ed! Hopefully we see a couple of faces. Don't think we need any major signings as the starting 11 when all fit is a match for anyone, in one of games we can beat any team in the league, it's just over 38 games with the squad we have we will come short for that 4th spot! So a couple of decent players to bulk the squad up would give us a great chance of 4th place.
To the second poster, it's fans like you with a negative attitude that we don't need right now, we need everyone, players and fans to stay positive.

Will need to be on our best against Southampton. Not the normal sacking for a struggling club this. Players will be both playing to impress the new manager and showing a performance for the old one.
They've steadied the ship after a disasterous start. Need Jelavic to have his sat nav working on Monday!

Hey guys just wandered what's everyone thinking so far of the transfer window? I'm sensing the usual last day flurry of activity. I'd love to see moyes get in another striker and central mid and poss CB 2. Hope heitinga doesn't go or fellaini either. M'vila on a loan view to perm could be brilliant business. i'd like to see moyes dip his toe in the championship again its been a great market for him so Charlie Austin or bakary sako my pick. What's everyone think?
