Am I the only one looking forward to the bright toffee youth? Im talking about: Duffy; Vellios; McAleny? Everyone is soo doom and gloom, and yes, we have no investment, but we have some very talented youth so stop ya winging! JG

Believable6 Unbelievable1

The thing is, if these youngsters become any good, they will probably be flogged off, just watch how fast Barkley leaves.

Yes, I know I am a pessimistic dick, but that is what Kenwright has made me now.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have become a farm we produce the best product then sell to the big super markets for the best price.

I'm more interested to see how Hope and a few years later Green develope

King Chong

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Danny O'Brien, heard he is a very fast and skillful winger, the future looks bright for everton, we have Vellios, Barkley, Green, Hope, McEleny, Duffy to just name a few, we could have our own squad made up of very exciting youngsters, I dont think there is another premier league club that could say the same, they all have to go out and spend millions building their teams. So it may be a bit doom and gloom now but just think in 5 years hopefully BK has f*%£!ed off by then and we should have a quality team of youngsters.ewefc {Ed025's Note - thats if we can keep hold of them mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

We do have some very good youngsters coming through the ranks but you reckon five years to bleed them in thats good but what will they do promote us. Here and now we need investment in the first team or to get these kids in now i think most of them will be up to the level after a good run of games those who dont we sell to the championship either way the board has got to put up or sell up stokesylaa

Agree0 Disagree0

Motes is scaired to bring youth player up unless he has to

I personally think thats us done in this window, no-one leaving or coming in, but i do think the likes of bilyaletdinov and saha will be gone in the summer and i can see rodwell being sold aswel, although a few lads were talking after the match against villa that they heard rumours that we got a loan move rejected for a striker from a un-named club so no idea who it could be, if i was going to guess id say it was chelsea and kalou? Thats just a guess though. Finally villa away was the first away game i have been too since newcastle away and i forgot how brilliant our fans are away from home, its always full in the away end and the fans are a credit to the club, just a shame the atmosphere is ridiculous at home this season, i know the football has been rubbish to watch at times but we need to get behind them and frighten the life out of the away team and fans! Here's to 3 much needed points against blackburn because we have some tough games coming up in february! COYB! Paul EFC

If we had a chance to get a good player if we sold rodwell i would like clint dempsey i think he is a great player and im surprised he isn't at a top four club but i can't see us bringing anyone else in. hope im proved wrong

Hiya ed just want your view on Rodellega from wigan. You seem to be a fan of him, he is not exactly a prolific goal scorer (which we are crying out for) he is a striker who got 5 goals last season and this season he has one. Just curious why your a big fan? {Ed025's Note - he has the main thing we are lacking..pace...it scares defenders more than anything else..

I would like to see Rodwell go to Chelsea and Bily go to Wolfsburg. That 25 mill there so we could get Rodallega and Jelavic.
Fully fit Everton Team:
Howard
Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines
Donovan Gibson Fellaini Drenthe
Rodallega Jelavic.
If you disagree feel free to say who you'd prefer in the team.

ToffeeDave. {Ed025's Note - it works for me dave..

Believable1 Unbelievable6

When will we learn. You dont sell your best young players for a short term fix. We should be looking to develop the team around the good young players we have. Or we just become a feeder club for the so called top four. Talk about being short sighted.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could do with a new defender at the moment seeing as we don't have a fully fit team, anyone spring to mind, ed?
ToffeeDave. {Ed025's Note - jack rodwell?

Agree0 Disagree0

Course ed, but to get Jelavic and Rodallega we'd have to sell Rodwell as I don't see where else the money would come from.
ToffeeDave. {Ed025's Note - good point dave...then someone like chris samba...if we had ant money left..

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to be Rodwell thats his natural position and thats why you shouldnt be coparing him to Felli.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sad thing about everton now is the last two years kenwright has made us a proper sellin club wer we used 2 be a greatly respected club who wud fight hard 2 keep players .he has slowly ripped the optimism and aspirations from r support

Agree0 Disagree0

Here are the rodwell rumours i've heard in the past month or so:
Man Utd-£22 million
Chelsea-£20 million
QPR-£15 million
Spurs-£20 million+Pienaar
No bs here, I'd post the links if people wanted them. I see the view of some fans that we should keep our young players to build on, but some of them offers are quite appealing.

Fact is Fellaini and Rodwell are to similar 1 of them needs to go personally i think it should be Rodwell, id take 15m and a player on loan from whoever gets him, the 10m of the 15 should be spent on a striker, then sell Bily for lets just say 5m use that money to buy Kalou 3m, then spend the other 5m from Rodwell to getting that greek defender Manolas and another squad player. Come On Bill Just Use Your Brain If You Do Have one!

Would rather Felli went to be honest.

Ed I'm intrigued if u were in moyes' situation right now what would u do? Who would u look to bring in? Infact anyone who wants to answer feel free! Who would u bring in and get rid of? Formations etc?? Tru {Ed025's Note - thats a hard one mate, because at the moment the confidence is very low, but i would like rodders at CH....bring in rodallega, and jellavic..and play 4-4-2

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Lee Cong Vinh (Vietnam) - CF.
Vasilis Torosidis (Greece) - RB.. (Has a buyout clause of around £6.3million but we can dream).

Not really sure who else because working with no budget is bloody hard work. Desperate need of a winger though, especially when Landon departs.

ToffeeBoyJack. {Ed025's Note - thats why i want rodallega jack..

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodallega can definitely operate the wings and striker role like. I wouldn't turn me nose to a free transfer in the summer.

ToffeeBoyJack.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but personally I don't rate Rodallega, watched the City Wigan match annd thought he offered little (ok i know that City are top of the league) however, Moses attacked the game. He's and exciting winger- exactly what we need- him and Drenthe would feed a goalscorer 20 goals a season. If Wigan were relegated, a cut-price deal may be available...

Anne Williams has today taken a major step in her battle to get justice for her son Kevin after over 100,000 people signed an e-petition.

Kevin was just 15 years old when he died at Hillsborough and his mother launched the online e-petition as part of an appeal into overturning the accidental death verdict placed on him.

Today's developments mean that a government debate could now take place, looking at the possibility of a new inquest into Kevin's death.

Mrs Williams thanked everyone who had shown their support.

"Thank you everyone, honestly, from the bottom of my heart for signing and supporting me," she said.

"It's been 23 years of living with lies and I cannot go away until I get justice for Kevin."

Two days ago 35,000 names were on the petition. Then, in a remarkable forty eight hours, that amount trebled to take the count up to the required figure of over 100,000 signatures.

Anne said: "I just can't believe it. The way it was going down last night and then came the support.

WELL DONE BLUES - THANKS

Please put aside differences for a minute and sign this petition that affects all the footballing community. This lady's son must not be forgotten about after a footballing tragedy:

epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/19149

Many thanks

cozinoz {Ed025's Note - i have done mate...and urge all our posters to do the same...this is nothing to do with football allegiance, its to do with justice!..

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I don't know much about this - and of course we all sympathise with her loss, but I think the boy's mum (the petition host) could have been a bit clearer as to why she disputes the verdict. It's not clear to me what she means by the '3.15 cut-off point' and what she actually thinks did cause her son's death. Does anyone else know what she believes the correct verdict to be, and why? {Ed025's Note - please read the whole of the article and the others pertaining to the case..

Agree0 Disagree0

Did the government tell the coroner to declare every1 dead by 3.15pm to protect the police, instead of giving the families the justice they deserve {Ed025's Note - that is one of the issues that need clarification, amongst others...that is why we should all sign..

Agree0 Disagree0

No offence but does it really matter that much what the issues r its a just cause end of story just sign the petition and give this lady some justice {Ed025's Note - well said mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not trying to be 'contrary' and do feel for the lady, but saying "it doesn't matter what the issues are, just sign" isn't right - we need to know what the issue is. {Ed025's Note - then read the petition..
