Manager merry go round. This summer involving nearly all the top teams.
Man Utd - Fergi if he wins league and cup.
Man City - Mancini won nothing so out.
Chelsea - Taxi for Rafa.
Arsenal - Times up Arsen.
Everton - Moyes looking at any above.
Liverpool - Come back Kenny.
And
Wigan - Leave our manager alone!

I have still been looking on this site but have not left any comments for a while it has all a bit doom and gloom at the moment. Nobody knows why DM has not signed a contract yet and if he is. He must have reasons we can all speculate is he wanting a reaction from players is he forcing the board into promises or maybe he is going gracefully and doesn't want everton to need to pay him off. But one thing I believe is that if it was unsettling the players he would not come out and say what he did or sign. let's have a bit of optimism in the site if we can get a result at the weekend and put the pressure on Chelsea and spurs. Yes we have a difficult run of games but let's use it to our advantage get a few big results to kick start our season spurs and Chelsea have got difficult games coming up against arsenal Liverpool etc. I have thought many times why are we having a dip in form is it because teams now know how to stop us by nullifying fellaini and piennar and baines or have we got a small squad who are fatigued but let's look at it positive spurs and Chelsea have got to play in Europe so they will be tired and resting players in some prem games hopefully dropping some points for us to take advantage of. Loads of people going on about bringing in Martinez if Moyes does leave. I'd say over the last three seasons Wigan have spent more money than Everton and have constantly been in relegation trouble. Martinez is obviously a bright and talented manager but he has turned down Villa and the reds in the previous two summers. There is no guarantee he'll turn up at Goodison.

As we have little money, if we do lose Moyes we need to bring in someone who can bring in good players on the cheap from Europe and South America. Martinez has done it and Laudrup has done it this season.

Zola is doing a good job at Watford and has probably improved since his West Ham experience. He could be right for us, just a thought.

Would be interested in looking at the comparative wage bills of the 2 clubs. Not saying that Evertons would be higher, but it would be a more true reflection of the team than money spent

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok, I will say it for you, Evertons wage bill would more than twice as big as Wigans.

Dero.

Martinez spellin has turned down villa and reds because he has a stable job at wigan simailar to moyes he would take this job if it came around

Hey blue's just hope our season isn't going to whimper out. Need our usual strong end to it. The squad might not be strong but I think its just a case of players not playin to there best form at the min but I think a lot of club's apart from the red manc's are or have been the same all season. If we are still in the mix by the start of may we have a chance of champ league. We just got to keep going keep pushin never give up WE ARE EVERTON. let's go for it

Will finish 7 at best

An interesting stat. for all those who want Martinez as the next Blues manager. It`s lovely that he apparently plays entertaining football, but since taking charge at Wigan, his win percentage of games is a massive 27. 5%. Appalling in my opinion.
Also, don`t forget this is the manager who`s teams have been smashed 8-0 and 9-0 in recent seasons.
Please, no more Martinez love-ins, he`s a poor manager.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Didnt moyes get stuffed 7-0?

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you expect at a club that's done well to get into the EPL and stay there by the skin of its teeth since 2005? Don't forget that we had our heaviest defeat for decades (7-0 at Arsenal), as well as quite a few other league-game drubbings (i. e. conceding four goals or more) and several cup defeats to lower-tier sides, under DM. Who do you suggest as DM's eventual successor?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a good manager with a poor team, oh and don't forget he's manged wins at Liverpool and Arsenal with this poor team which is more than moyes has ever done with better players, so he's not that bad a manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Martin is a big no for me.

But Laudrup on the other hand, what a manager he is proving to be

Still think moyes will stay though

Agree0 Disagree0

Laundrup was lucky as he walked in to a decent team he added michu an his goals have gave them there platform this season Martinez has had to develop
A side but stil tries to stick to his principles of attacking football the guys one of few managers with the balls to play three at the back in pl he also manages to pick out decent players for his budget di santo Kone I think with a better quality of player he could really
Achive something {Ed001's Note - you do realise Martinez took over a team that was mid-table under Bruce? Under Martinez that same team has been struggling against relegation year after year. Martinez is the lucky one, to have such a great rep, despite doing absolutely nothing to deserve or earn it.}

Great idea that register feature. Who came up with it? {Ed025's Note - i think it was out IT guy..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It would be a great idea if it were a secure protocol, making it easy to farm email addresses if anyone were to take the time and effort

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great if on registration you had to select which team you support and it appeared by your name in messages, so we could tell who the wum are.

Why has our football gone stale at this crucial time of the season when we are normally kicking into gear around now. The football we were producing at the start of the season was excellent we were the talk of the league and now it has all dried up. I believe it is down to too many of field distractions. 1. The Fellaini saga. 2. Failed transfer dealings in January. 3. Moyes and his contract saga. These are but to name a few and I know we have had our fair share of injuries. Think its time now Moyes started making a few changes and giving some of the other players a run to freshen things up a bit after all he is complaining about players being tired one way or another we have to get back to playing the same football we did at the start of the season and fast otherwise the season is going to blow up in our face sort it out Moyes after all that is your job. Stef the blue

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Squad size not big enough every soccer pundit has suggested we'd have problems if any one got injured or players suffered loss of form, they've been proved right, don't write us off thou, still one good result from a run

Agree0 Disagree0

For me, without doubt 100% it was the failed January. When news broke out we were signing Leroy Fer, Everton fans on social media were over the moon and so excited, hell, even Moyes couldn't hide his excitement in the press conference the day before the news broke out (when he was asked about any potential dealings, had a little smirk on his face saying if he was a betting man we would bring in someone). And then the club was deflated when we didn't sign anyone (no offence John Stones) in January.

January signings are more than just adding quality to the side, they act as a boost for the club, take last season as a perfect example, the effect Gibson, Donovan, Pienaar and Jelavic had on and off the pitch was the reason why we were amazing in that 2nd half of the season. And that is something we are sadly missing this season and it could seriously cost us at the end of the season. {Ed025's Note - i agree with all that mate...good post..

A big week ahead for the blues three winnable games that could see our
Confidence soar and give us a push for
Europe we owe all of these teams a
Hiding after all of them got something
From us if we don't achieve this then I
Fear our season could head down hill coyb
