Lets get off to a winning start tomorrow. COYB {Ed025's Note - i hope moysie has the bottle to play barkley...instead of anichebe

Listen up my fellow blues, we hav the same team at the start of this season as we did for the 2nd half of last season and lets face it if we had even a half decent first couple of months last year we would have been in europa maybe even champs league, we have a cracking prospect in young Barkley and Gueye and vellios we play more games. A striker is all we need, on loan would be fine. The future is bright, the fu ture is Bluelook forward to 2moro COYB {Ed025's Note - thanks pal...thats cheered me right up!..

Just a quick message to you Blues accross the park. I am a die hard red and season ticket holder in the KOP @ Anfield and i've seen the comments made by your chairman over the last couple of days. I want to wish you guys all the luck in the world to get the finances sorted. It was horrible to go through what we did with Tom & Jerry in charge. This is by noway a message of pitty but a message of hope to the blue side of Liverpool. Good Luck this season YNWA {Ed025's Note - cheers mate!..

Barkley will be a surprise package this season and keen to impress, plus he looked like he had a good creative streak in him in pre season with a willingness to try things rather than a simple pass. Of course he'll be on the bench and Anichebe will start wide right.

To all the "proper" fans of this great club...... David Moyes words;
"I do enjoy working for my chairman because he's a supporter, he's got the club at heart and he's desperate for me and the team to do well."
“Look at the progress Everton has made, look where the Club has come from in the last 10 years and look at the players that are on the pitch for Everton.

"I brought all the players here, I've got a responsibility to them, they are a really good group of players - their attitude, the way they go about their job. The one thing Everton will be is competitive in the Premier League."
"Not every manager is lucky enough to have millions, I'm one of the managers who is not so I'll work and prepare the players and I know exactly what I'm going to get.

"A few years ago we had to trade James McFadden and Andy Johnson, then Joleon went and we were able to bring players in so it's no different.
"Not every manager is lucky enough to have millions, I'm one of the managers who is not so I'll work and prepare the players and I know exactly what I'm going to get.

"As far as I'm concerned none of those players go unless David Moyes says so.

“We're not going to become a selling club. I'm not here to do that, I'm here to build a good team. I'm not in the business of coming into football management to sell my best players, I won't do that. But if I get an offer which is right I will and I'll never let Everton get into trouble.

"But at the moment no-one has made an offer that would come close to making me think about it (selling players). You only need to look at so many clubs throughout the country who have continuously changed their manager and in some cases changed their chairman nearly as often and they don't necessarily do any better.

"There's a few clubs over the years that have put themselves in real trouble by either the wrong owners coming in or a chairman getting rid of their managers when it was wrong to do so.

"We've got a stability and you mustn't take that for us getting stale and not trying to move on because there's nobody more determined or ambitious than myself to make it better."

Ive copied and pasted this of the website
Now get on with supporting our club, I will be there tomorrow screaming the lads on SO SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE

Right the way i look at it we could still bring 1 or 2 players in on loan but we need a buyer before the January window, people are saying sell players personally the only player i would sell at the moment is Yobo its to late into the transfer window to be selling players now just keep everyone at the club and if we get a buyer then we sell the likes of Yakubu and Bilyaletdinov(depending how he is this season). I think Pedro leon and Macheda on season long loans and then if we are bought for the Jan window i would buy Donovan, Sturridge and a new CB for cover if Heitinga decides to go. Also Odemwingie or Jarvis would be good buys in the Jan window but we will jsut have to wait and see.... COYB. Everton 3 - QPR 1 {Ed025's Note - good post...but we win 2-0

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree0 Disagree0

Thankfully Notlob have burst QPRs promotion bubble on the first day with a whopping 4-0 win away, signs that we should win fairly comfortably. Ha we all know things aren't that simple with us blues.....
an uncomfortable 2-0 victory for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really cant wait to see some football now Thats what actually matters after all, i'm going for 2-0 to the blues in the misguided hope that we will keep a clean sheet.

Agree0 Disagree0

I so hope we win this, I'm sick of all this financial talk and just want us to play some football If we lose this place could go into meltdown.

Agree0 Disagree0

I got to agree with 3-1 with some. Fellaini, arteta pen and Saha after coming on as sub. Be surprised if we keep a clean sheet, Bothroyd to score for them if anybody interested. COYB {Ed025's Note - this could be a good clash of who is the better striker...becks or bothroyd....we missed out on bothroyd, it might tell us if it was wise..

Howard

Barkley
Fellaini
Arteta

Cahill

I think we'll see something like that, 2-1 Everton. Arteta and Saha with the goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

On paper its 3 pts in the bag anything else will be a shocker

Agree0 Disagree0

We've played them four times at Goodison in the Premier League era:

1992/93 - Lost 5-3 (Cottee, Barlow, Preki) (Impey, Ferdinand x 3, Bardsley)
1993/94 - Lost 3-0 (Allen x3)
1994/95 - Drew 2-2 (Amokachi, Rideout) (Ferdinand x 2)
1995/96 - Won 2-0 (Stuart, Rideout)

Two hat-tricks against us in four games Our last game in the Premier League against them finished 3-1 to QPR at Loftus Road in 1995/6. Ebbrell scored for us. The result meant we dropped to 7th in the league and they moved up to 18th. They were relegated that season, I believe.A certain Ian Holloway was in their team that day. Hopefully he hasn't given them any advice. As entertaining as our game against Blackpool was last season, I don't want to be put through such a rollercoaster of emotions so soon

I hope you all enjoy the game on Saturday and get behind the team like I know most of us will. COYB's

we will go into the beginning of the season with three home and one away game that are all very winnable.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

This is the type of game that we struggled with in the last season or two as we annoyingly started taking plenty of points off those above us but got frustrated and ran out of invention against teams that come to Goodison and keep it tight. Saying that it's highly likely QPR will attack us.

I'm carefully optimistic about the forthcoming season. {Ed025's Note - lets hope we can rise to the challenge and forget all the crap..

Whilst I believe that QPR will put in a better showing than they did against Bolton, I still think Everton will have a fire in their belly as they attempt to shake off their perennial slow starters tag. With the Goodison faithful behind the boys' backs I think Everton will win 2-0 with Saha and Cahill on the scoresheet to kick start Everton's season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My heart says we'll knob them 3-0 with Saha producing an electric performance.

My head says 1-1 and more early season frustration.

Agree0 Disagree0

2-0 Saha (2) COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm very forgiving of Moyes' weaknesses because of the massive net-positive effect he's had on the club since arriving here, but even my eyes will roll if we start with Cahill behind Saha and Osman on the wing. Injury crisis or not.

From the neutral's POV we look like the home-bankers of the weekend. Could see Osman having a good game against these if he makes it; might stick him in me fantasy team.

Right so it's come out full and clear...we're not buying/loaning anything this summer, but look on the brightside, we've got a great (but small) core of players who will enable us to be challenging the big teams...we're blues and at our best when we've our backs against the wall and in a scrap, which is what I see this season will be, similar to the season when we sold Rooney just before, except this time we've got some proper class to fight with.

Maybe these three clowns from the Blue Union need a bit of criticism for what they did?

They asked for a private meeting with Kenwright, which he gave them in his office, at which it was stipulated at the start that there was to be no note taking - so it was just a semi informal chat really. 3 guys asking Kenwright some questions - and him giving open and honest and probably quite informal responses.

Then they stitch him up by taping the meeting and releasing it verbatim.

That stinks to me and if the clubs in turmoil this week it's down to those three dishonest muppets.

They were at liberty to give general feedback from the meeting about what had been said - but it sounded initially s though this had been a proper open meeting in a hotel etc with 100 people there where kenwright had come along completely unprepared.

When you hear it was in his office with just 3 blokes having a chat about the club - and they secretly tape it and leak it - it puts a whole different perspective on it.

In my opinion it's them that need criticising in this instance - not Kenwright.

yes we'd like him to have more money, but he's taking nothing out of the club from what I can see unlike alot of other chairman / directors - and he seems to be doing the best he can

if other people want to throw their money at the club then let them

perhaps if we asked 1000 evertonians to stump up 10 grand each we could sign a 10 million forward - and they could all have a 1/1000th share in his contract?

if his value goes up - then they share the profit - if it goes down - they share the loss?

I think Kenwright is a bit hard done by to be honest - getting death threats and wreaths and all that is bang out of order for someone who does seem to be doing his best

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I cannot believe that I have just read your comments.

These 3 men need to be knighted for their service to our beloved club not made to be scape gotas.

Bill is the man at fault.

Why does he need preparation to talk to 3 fans?

Why does he even need to know what they our gonna ask him? what they our gonna do with the information?

Unless he is being completely dishonest and is a complete amature of a business man he should know the ins and outs of every detail of our club or at least have someone working for him who does.

Fact is he is a total failure as an owner, he has no money and the only reason we have had any kind of improvement is down to Moyes and the players that he has chosen and the deals he has done.

All you everton fans defending this clown of a chairman and board need to get real... this board need to go, and these 3 fans have all my respect

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree completely. I'm not happy with the lack of transfer activity but at least Bill offered to meet with this group & put forward his case. It was an snidey, underhand trick to tape the meeting & then make it public. This is the sort of behaviour we expect from other clubs & their fans, but it's not the Everton way.
I'll say it again......remember Peter Johnson? They were the bad old days

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on mate PADDOCKBLUE

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly dont know whether kenwright is just holding onto his trainset because he loves being in control - even if he's harming the club by doing so (though he would argue coming 7th wasnt too bad - and it would take another 50mil to get much higher - and 100 mill to get into champs league) or if he really is trying to do his best for the club and would sell to a decent buyer, he didn't just asset strip the club n fk off.

The value of the players is supposed to be something like 180mil - so if he sold the club to someone for under that amount (like lets say for 50mil) - like you or me - then that person, if they were a shark, could just sell one player after another, raise 180 mil - pay off his 50 mil upfront purchase loan and bugger off to the bahamas - taking his 130mil profit with him and leaving us with nothing.

I honestly dont know what Kenwright's honest position is - does anyone? I bet he could do without the grief though.

If there really is someone out there who wants to buy the club why don't they come forward?

Unless you're wealthy enough to compete with the man city sheik or abromovitch or the size of Manu, then it sounds like you're just buying a license to burn money and still come 6th.
(and even if we did get another sheik, Fergie and UEFA have drafted new rules to stop clubs outspending their turnover anyway)

With the champions league rules it's all stitched up now.
No one but 3 or 4 clubs are getting a look in anymore - and its going to stay that way forever.
That's the real issue.

Only if the fans of other clubs start getting fed up and complaining about it will it change - otherwise we're just stuck in 5th to 10th place and thats it, forever. Even if we raise good youngsters then manu's and citys will just prize them away and keep us where we are.

It's not kenwrights fault - its UEFA and the 'big4' stitching it all up 10 or so years ago. {Ed025's Note - i hear what you say mate...and its a very good post...but let me simplify it for you....the fact is, everton is stagnant at the moment, and on the face of it improvement seems unlikely, all other clubs are buying to move forward, but we are not, our once revered ground is turning into a crumbling mausoleum, and we are quickly becoming the pariah of the premier league....now someone is to blame!...and the buck stops with kenwright....its as simple as that!..

Agree0 Disagree0

I know we're stagnant - but is that because we've reached our financial 'ceiling', (having bought quite a few very good players) whereas some of these other 'smaller' clubs that are spending have not.
Wouldn't the likes of bolton & stoke & sunderland love to have players like Fellaini and Jags and Baines and Arteta etc etc on their books? You bet they would.
A lot of these mid table spenders have got quite a few journeymen players on their books - and if you put our team on paper up against their's, they'd be jealous of the players we've already got.

We've already spent and have a high wage bill because of it - they are trying to play catch up but they're buying players like wes Brown who we didnt even want.

I'd rather have everton's team than anyone else's who came below us last year (I wouldn't swop it even for liverpools or spurs - they arent that much better than us, if at all) but I would very much like everyone to start moaning about the champions league stitch up that means Manu ManC etc are just going to win everything forever and a day now.
Manu boast of 19 titles - but about 10 of them have been since it was all stitched up - so their titles are not worth as much as what they used to be in the old days when anyone (within reason) could theoretically put a decent side together and win the league - you cant anymore.

United and City will now win the title for ever and a day. Big deal - so what?

Its not a fair race any more.

listened to kenwright and read the interview with the peoples group. he says we must not sell 4 players who he names, well bill you need to get real.if we sell players would the club get the money or the banks,if its the club and we can use the money to buy players we need to sell 1 or 2 players a season who are saleable for alot of money so we can bring in younger players ,what we must not do is let players get to the 30,s and sell themfor a small fee, 1 thing everton cant afford to do is let the squads average age get into the 30,s or we will be totaly knackered,am scared for everton if we dont get investment and to be honest have no faith in kenwright, if he is still owner in 5 years we will be either bottom 5 or in the championship,i have total faith in moysie but dont expect hi to stay when his contract finishes unless there is investment

Well i have to honestly say if BK was not an evertonian then he would be a hated man, its no good blaming others on the board, it stops with BK, god knows what hes been doing. I understand for someone like me and you to go to a bank and beg for money, have you ever heard of a million pound company having to beg for money. His timing with this interview could not be any worse, and can i say the only reason he has come out and given an interview was because the meeting was leaked, i have to admit i find it a bit disrespectful of the blue union as BK certainly didnt have to sit down with them and talk to them about anything (so fair play to him) but what about the rest of us, when was he ever going to disclose any information to us. I think its a disgrace how its all been handled and im pretty sure that DM has been told a pack of lies otherwise why would he come out and say we were going to get all our signings in before preseason. Moyes doesn't lie, infact he doesnt really give much away, so why would moyes come out and say this unless he had been lied to. I dont think we have ong left with sir moysie, sadly the club just isnt doing enough for him. One more point is everyone talking about the sales of yobo and yak and who we will spend the money on, the answer is no one, have you not listened to the interviews, the bank want us to sell players, not so we can buy new ones but so we can pay them some money back. So any money made i believe will go straight back to the bank. Oh sorry one more point, the timing of this interview with BK is shocking to say the least and i think he should be ashamed of himself, if we drop any points tomorrow it will be because of this distraction, not to admit 30,000 pissed off fans. Please can we support the team tmro boys, forget the idiots on the board for 90mins and get behind DM and the players cause to be fair they deserve our backing, they have been very loyal and are the reason were still in the prem league. Up the toffees. Any responses to this?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with all your words especially him only given statement cos it would be leaked and he knew if no players came in there would be murder, he had to give this interview and im sure he wanted it leaked so he could give his statement.

Liverpool fan in peace here...

Sad to see what has happened to the Blues. My dad and my brothers support Everton so although I am a member of the red s*ite brigade ;-) I will always have respect for your great club.
My team went through hell last year so I do feel for what you guys are going through now. I just hope that Bill can find a buyer soon and that they invest in Everton and bring them back to where they deserve to be at the top.

Loved the 80's when both Merseyside club shared all the top honours.

Peace and respect to all Evertonians.

“You know the four players we don’t dare sell,” he said. “Baines, Jagielka, Fellaini and Tim Howard.”
Rodwell will be leaving is this is anything to go by, he said that we will need to sell to buy. But if we dont, blues fans dont get to down, the squad we had last season were a match for everyone after Christmas we start well, the skys the limits

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Our season depends on a good start and keeping the injuries at bay, i can see a couple of players being brought in on loan and i fancy us to have an outside chance of 6th with hopefully a good cup run

Agree0 Disagree0

So just because he said we dont dare sell felli, bains, jags and howard, you get rodwell is leaving? so does that also mean, coleman, cahill, osman, arteta, beckford, i think you get my point

Onohua on loan would be a good deal for us. He can play as a fullback and centre back, which would be good for us as we need can use cover for both. But I dont see it happening, Mancini and Citteh arent the biggest fans of Everton.

not a rumour but just a post, doesnt look like where going to buy anyone, lets face it instead of moaning about not bringing anyone in, lets be happy weve still got all our big players and lets just get behind the team and let the backroom staff get on with finding a buyer for our great club (hopefully some big russian or seikh with billions)

Time to cash in on rodwell for 18 to 20 million especially if you consider jordan henderson joined that lot for about that, don't think there is much between there abilities

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I have a feeling this could be a big season for Rodders.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell is a player if we needed to sell i would sell, but everyone deserve's a chance and if he looks a bit more interested in games like actually running forward etc or passing the odd pass forward instead of sideways and been so anonymous in games and become the player he is and suppose to be all will be forgiven,he had injuries but sometimes some one been injured is used as an excuse even weeks or months after they have been back in the team etc

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't imagine Rodwell leaving, Moyes would be gutted if he did leave

Agree0 Disagree0

Selling Rodwell makes no sense. We'd get 15mil tops and next yr when Neville, Distin and co. move on we'll spend 10-12 on a CB who won't be anywhere near as good.

Our squad is slowly ageing, holding on to the younger players such as Fellaini, Baines, Rodwell, Coleman, Barkley should be our priority... especially the ones that are blue.

Our squad (including Yobo and Yakubu) isn't bad... and if anything we only need a player or two which i'll sure we'll get on free or loan before the end of the month. If we sell Yobo or the Yak by all means replace them but I can't understand people calling for Rodwell to go so we can buy average players like Peter Crouch etc..

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to swap rodwell for sturridge, sell jags for 20 million, put heitinga next to distin in our defence, sign onohua as cover for the centre backs and use the rest of the money to sign a quality winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think we should, i think we should keep him. Sell the deadwood....we wouldn't get anything like twenty mill for him anyway, i would be amazed if we did....

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd say that £15 million is ambitious and £20 million wishful. He was regularly touted as a £20 million signing and his talent hasn't suddenly gone. He's just had a poor season with injuries and the 'curse' of being a central midfielder at a club with 300 central midfielders.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwells actual value... £13-14mil
Value in todays market..£20mil

Strike whilst the iron is hot I say, if there are genuine bids over £17mil I think we accept, young, fresh british talent is priceless with all of the new 'homegrown player' rules for squads.

I agree it'd be a gamble to sell now, he may well go on to be the next Claude Makalele, but I honestly don't think he will and because of that ironically I think another year will decrease his value, we don't want to end up contemplating wether to take £5mil of Villa in 3 years time. There is no guarantee that u21 internationals will be in the full squad and achieve 50 caps. There will be a lot of competition for Rodders position.

I like Rodwell and he'd be a steady squad player in any of the top 4 (Citeh, Man U, Chelski & Arse) but we need that money, wether it reduced debts, mortgage payments or frees up some cash to bulk out the squad the club need to do all three of those things for stability reasons.

Boring I know but I think it's right...

P.S - on reflection all of the above applies to Jags as well

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we would only get 20m for him if he was sold to city. I think 15m would be the best we could get. I don't know if anyone is interested in him as not heard any rumours. I would be happy if we did sell him, then we could get a winger and stop playing billy on the wing and move him into the centre.

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep rodwell we will need cover for jagielka. Rodwell's gonna end up being a Central Defender just like Moyes has always said.

Agree0 Disagree0

I realise we may have to cash in. But I have faith in his ability and think he will really turn it on this season if unhampered by injury and given a chance. He's on a long contract, sit tight, let him hit the England squad and hope for a bidding war. I'd prefer him to stay and ideally could see a team built around him but im realistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Henderson went for twenty and Rodwell is a better player IMO. Been a star at every level and progress at top level delayed through injury and possible lack of confidence. To sell for ten would be insane. At least with Rooney we got half decent money, imagine watching Rodwell for the next decade after getting shafted for a fee.

We must sell Rodwell for 20m and get in Defoe 10m, Bently 5m....Also get Sturridge on loan.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Would go for wright-philips before bentley probably cheaper option too

Agree0 Disagree0

Jack Rodwell will make you all eat your words this Season.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we sold Rodwell and brought in 3 players with the money, how are we going to pay their wages? The examples the thread starter gave would all be on higher wages than Rodwell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwells a great player and can potentially be amazing with his ability.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not saying selling Rodwell would be a bad thing if the price is right for us, but Defoe? Bentley?? They have past it and isn't getting any younger, we need quality and youth not someone who isn't exactly going to improve us.

Well, I admit Sturridge on loan would be interesting but this one does not require us selling Rodwell, let's hope Yobo is leaving soon which free some money up, so we could hopfully bring in at least one quality loan player for the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

20m for rodwell? We'd be extremely lucky to get 15m. Overrated IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Defoe or Bentley please. Sturridge would be good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell is going to be toptop player and alrady is, so what he had an injury last season....Jack if you read this ignore the doubters and play you game

Everton's new third kit is a bit like
last years one:

The top is white with the logo dark
blue, the le coq sportif logo dark
blue and the chang badge dark blue.

The shorts are dark blue with the Everton badge in white and the le coq sportif badge in
white.

The socks are white with the bit
that you fold being dark blue and
under the bit that you fold it says
efc in joined up in dark blue like the
away kit's socks.

The new kits for this season are the best we have had in a while, the home shirt is class

Perhaps someone can do a decent financial analysis and comparison of what Everton are doing vs the other 'non europe' teams in the premiership?

It's all very well saying Sunderland or Stoke or Blackburn are buying and why aren't we - but are they already spending more than us on wages, and have they got as good a team as ours already, or are they playing catchup from a less expensive position?
Maybe we've reached our financial 'ceiling' and they haven't because they haven't got excellent players like Fellaini and Arteta etc on their books and we have?

I think Moyes will do something this summer. I think he knows we need a striker and winger and I think he's looking for them.
I also think Yak and Yobo are decent players who are worth something to someone. They're both good players who just can't get into our team because of the competition, but Yak scored a few for Leicester and Yobo had a good year in Turkey.

I think Moyes will sell a couple of fringe players, who cant get into our team and replace them in positions we need improvements in.

If this happens then we'll all be a lot happier.

lets just hope the boys on the field aren't affected by the current situation and we can get off to a winning start

For a man of the theatre Bills timing could not have been more wrong, we all suspected the outcome of his interview all summer but had he come out with the facts early june we all could have come to terms with the situation and not all raised false hopes. if the way forward this year is youth so be it but everton stands on a precipice were next year we could take a big fall if this situation is not sorted, DM will lose faith eventually as will ambitious players

(Ed)... I know its difficult to be positive but for the sake of the team we must.

We should look around at other clubs. Newcastle for instance I would rather be us than them?

I also think that some of the s***e that BK said must be rubbish. I cant get my head around that the bank want there money back (As per Independent article today). We are only 45 Mil overdrawn?? (Is that the true figure).

BK made himself look a complete idiot. Head of ICI due dilligence ect..How much did it cost the club to wine and dine this clown to find he was full of crap. Whoever let it get to the due dilligence stage or let him get this far for the club should sacked.

I think now an independent Everton support group should be formed and allowed on the board. We need someone to see and hear whats going on behind the closed doors.

I remember the day BK was announced as the new chairman. A very old and present Radio City worker (Cant name him), said to me and I quote. "You wont do anything with him BK. He has no money and cant run anything. Look at the mess he did with the playhouse".

All this will change tomorrow with three points from QPR.

Can people stop supporting BK for his sensibbble financial running of the club, you guys know nothing about accounts or finance clearly. Everton have zero assets now, nothing, we dont own our players, we dont own our ground, we dont own our training pitch for fsake. He has mortagegd the lot, the banks own it all and we pay them per month for the continued use of the facilities. They can tell us to sell Jags, Felli anyone at the drop of a hat if they want their loans repaid quicker. BK has no control of the club, Moyes has no control, only the banks. This is the same situation as Leeds and Portsmouth the only difference is we are not relegated so the banks are giving us the benefit of the doubt due to revenue made by being in the PL. Wake smell the coffee we have been in this situation for years and the reason nobody will buy us is because BK wants a return on his investment as well as the banks demanding the debt be repaid in full through any change of ownership, basically we are looking for a buyer who would need to cough up 150mill before he could even start investing in the team at a club that runs on about a 5mill loss per year, only an Evertonian with endless cash would see this as a great opportunity. Dark days im afraid, the big fear is relegation as with relegation comes administration. BK mocks the Indian owners of Blackburn but Blackburn would not go under if they got relegated because the owners own the club, not the banks unlike our situation.

Good man, The most intelegent comments ive read on here and the one who deals in reality, no amount of positive thinking is gonna change whats happening, this board is a joke, everything Bills says we have moved forward with has all been down to the banks money and moyes... respect my friend

If were going to sell, although he's so valuable, fellaini will probabaly be the man - winter transfer or next season perhaps. he still hasnt renewed his contract and we dont want another steven pienaar loss. we can make some good business with a few big clubs interested in him - would also give rodwell more game time to develop.

Think Bill is on a really tight rope right now, he's been able to somewhat get away with no spending due to the small quality in our side BUT our quality players are getting older and older, ie Neville, Mikel, Neville, Distin.

Someone explain to me why we our allowing Rafas comments about us just being a small club to come true?

I never thought i would see the day that the likes Of Swansea, Qpr, Stoke, Bolton, Fulham and even Blackburn with all their financial difficulties our a better proposition to players than us?

Even teams in lower leagues our able to spend more than us on stadiums and players. {Ed025's Note - and the red s***e are lapping it up!.....thanks for that bill..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I didn't realise that the size of the club is dependant on how much you spend. I always thought the size of the club was based on their history, fan base position in the league You are not trying to tell me that Liverpool and Sunderland are the two biggest teams in the world are you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget we have a much better squad with bigger wages

Agree0 Disagree0

People need to get a grip. Yes, we are skint and in trouble. BUT, remember that we have a high wage bill, which is where a lot of our money goes. The likes of Blackburn, Bolton and Stoke do not. This is why they appear richer than us. We could get rid of our top players (earners), then be just like them, buying s**te. Moyes gambled on assembling a team that housed the likes of Arteta, Fellaini, Baines, Saha, Heitinga, Yakubu, Howard, Jags, Bilaletdinov, Neville, etc, all of which are earning a packet. Not many Blackburn players are drawing between £40k and £75k a week. Christ, even Yobo is supposed to be on £40k. Yak is supposedly on nearer £50k. Hetinga on £55k, Neville on £40k, etc.

No matter how skint you think we are, we spend more on wages than the majority of other clubs. Our 7th place finish is about right considering this

Its been said that Everton have bid for Onuaha by his agent. If so is this a loan or purchase. Decent player but surely any money would be wisely spent else where. Just heard on ssn Steve Keen Blackburn manager say they have agreed fees for 3 players and deals to be completed next week.. Any chance 1 of these is Yak, Yobo, or Anichebi. BK must give all money from any sales to Moyes anything else should not be tolerated. There should be some decent wages there for a loan deal as Everton seemingly offered Pienaar 60grand a week to stay before he left and Vaughans wages. I no the money we got for them has disappeared 5m paid off the overdraft apparently, but wages should still be there to pay a for a loan signing you would think.. Ed do you know anything about the Onuaha deal and if approved wages would still be there or anything of the players Blackburn have agreed fees for. Would be nice 2 get even 2 loan signings done for the positions we all know we need be for the window closes. Will not whole my breath. Anyway lets start the season with a win. COYB. {Ed024's Note - I don't know for sure but i expect no deals in or out except Yobo, any money in from transfers will NOT go to Moyes as the banks control the finances and will deman d it's used to reduce debt

The thing that we all must realize is this, if and it is an if we do not do well this year Moyes will leave and will not just be Moyesy, Fellaini, Heitiga, Jagielka, Arteta and Baines and who to be honest would blame them.

For G@ds sake we are just Three or Four top players off being in the running for Champions league if not better, and I am so scared that if the board does not deliver this season with some hope for improvements next year will see a huge down turn in our fortunes.

I hope that I am wrong but I fear that I am not. We have great supporters, Great manager and Players and have been a solid foundation no other team has what we have so can some one with some money out there look at our principles and see that we a succesful propersition. Liverpool need to spend millions to achieve 6th or 7th we need 50 milllion to achieve top four easy.

The only thing which is not solid is the board no point having business men on the board who obviously cant deliver, and cant part with there money. Football should be about what is achieved on the pitch not in the board room which is holding us back

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I agree with you 100%, its easy for peope to put a positive spin on things but players and managers our only human, as people we all want whats best for our family and friends and we all know the likes of Baines, Arteta, fellaini, Jags could be earning a hell of a lot more money, as could Mr Moyes and they could easily walk into Top most of the Top sides in Europe. I fear that the Board need to go, the already allowed pienarr to go for pennys, we could of got 15 mill easy if they would of got him on a long term deal before selling and the sames gonna happen with Fellain. I doubt the board our even smart enough to learn from the Piennar lesson with him.

I hope Im wrong but I believe there is a very real chance that your predictions will come true, peace and love to all my fellow Evertonians except Bil Kenwright {Ed025's Note - thanks for that post mate...i just hope all blues listen to you...we will be called doom merchants..i prefer realists..

After this dreadful summer and then the announcement made from kenwright (which we sort of knew anyway) if we have another poor start and finish 7th or 8th i sadly see this season as David Moyes last season with us, do you know what i wouldn't blame him, if i worked on the board i would actually say to him that he should leave...... we are holding him back, it's ridiculous as we are so close from being a top 4 side we are seriously only 3 class player's away from it but we have stood still since we qualified for the champions league {Ed025's Note - well said mate..its the truth..
