Everton have been taken over! Moyes is going to get a budget of £100 million, and with that we are going to buy messi, but he will be on the bench behind jelavic, then we will win everything possible and we will rule the world...

Then I woke up................

Listen. This piennar thing is getting on my nerves. I just hope after all we did to resurrect his career (twice) , that he is not demanding more money. Either that or we are far apart with an agreement on a fee or we are waiting for Someone to be sold to fund it. If it falls through I won't lose any sleep. Sorry to sound negative but we won't be taken for mugs by him or spurs.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

If these comments about SP are only half true then I think we say "theres the offer take it or leave it"
There has to be a time when we have to start looking elsewhere. We certainly dont want to be messing about on the 31st August.
We dont know the truth,we probably never will but its certainly taking its time.
Him playing tonight for Spurs adds to the mystery.

George {Ed025's Note - a lot of sense spoken there george..

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont let the pienaar situation get you down people if we get him great if we dont so be it lets use the money ear marked for him on hoilett or philips and destroy teams down the right for a change, or someone else moyes has his eye on that we dont know about yet he normally manages to surprise us. one player does not make a team and no player is bigger than our club. have faith still fancy us for top 4.........grbefc {Ed025's Note - well said grb

Everton Dave {Ed025's Note - im confident we will make the correct decision for the club..if his wage demands are reasonable..then yes, i am..

Even if deal is still being done all players have to keep there fitness up it so don't know why you think it's strange he is playing in friendly match modric will not be at spurs this season but may still play in pre season games don't read to much into it the last I heard was on SSN saying we are in talks with spurs so let's wait. just think if rangers weren't going into liquidation earlier this year, do you reckon we would have got jelavic for the price of £5m? i reckon he would have cost double that, only they were desperate for the money.. also ive got a feeling that Fifa will grant steven naismith full clearance so he is eligible to play asap..

Thinking about it id rather Michael Owen be coming of the bench than Anichebe! But id rather have Vellios getting more game time. Hes hard working, good target man, classy finisher, good in the air. Him an Jelavic upfront will be good. I think if we get Castaignos ( Wants to come to us.. in Italian newspapers this week ). I would send Vellios on a short loan he deserves!

Stuck for the last few weeks in Thailand. Rather be home but thinking about throwing back a few chang's until I could escape. Pulling out of the airport I see a big Chang billboard with some blue football players. Hell this won't be so bad, but as I go by I see the boys in blue are John Terry and Frank Lampart, wtf!

I get to the Hotel and they hand be a chang bottle of drinkable water, there are football players in the label but they are FC Barcca.

I go out for a cold one, s*** hot in the sun, and I get a reasonably cold chang. OK, football players on the can, but Christiano f-ing Ronaldo and Real Madrid.

Disgusted I drink my beer, it tastes like the eleaphant pissed in the can.

I'd like a new management but we need a better sponser.

Big Bald Blue

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Terry and Lampard are everywhere - advertising Pepsi. Until recently pictures of Cahill and Howard were seen regularly and all of the games can be seen on the Telly. However, here is not much point advertising everton in thailand - change is owne by one of the most powerful families in Thailand and fans couldn't buy a shirt here even if they wanted too. I believe that's down to the kitbag deal not Chang

It seems like Baines is staying.

Robbie Brady is just 20, and was voted the Irish under-21 international footballer of the year in February. Brady spent last season on loan at Hull City in the Championship, where he impressed with his performances on the left wing.

Sir Alex Ferguson said yesterday: "Brady is an outside-left but we believe there's a possibility he will develop into a left-back."

Nottingham Forest and a couple of other clubs have recently been taken over,we all know this. The BBC last year reported there were at least a half dosen intrested parties talking with Everton over a possible take over.I wonder if the new owners to these clubs could have been the ones that we were talking to.Kenwright said he will only sell to the right people who have the clubs best wishes at heart.Time will tell if these new owners were right for there respective clubs or maybe we have had a lucky escape i know alot of people are wondering why them and not us.My take on it is you have to be a billionare to run a succesfull premier league club that can challange year in year out for trophies and maybe these people knew they would not have the money to do this.Football has changed we know this but for how long can the game go on like this the game will eventually die if something is not done to stop the greed thats in the game today with the Fifa fair play rules to come into play soon clubs will have to start to change the way they do buissness .So i just wonder in the end will it matter if we have a billionare or not now i ask this question to you cause its something im not sure about when the new rules kick in next year all i am sure about is that we have a very wealthy board sitting behind us that will not invest for some strange reason and that to me is more annoying than trying to find a new owner.Stef the blue.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I have always tried to put myself in Kenwright's shoes Before criticising him. I think he sees himself as the clubs custodian rather than an owner and will not put the club in any possible danger. The last 20 years have seen massive changes in football and should the fair play rules come to pass (and I'm not totally convinced they will) we will see a more level playing field. Teams with massive wage bills will be unable to exist without the handouts they currently receive from their wealthy owners. It remains to be seen whether these ultra wealthy owners will stay with the clubs when they can no longer buy their way to success and have to work for it.

Popeye

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye leeds about to be taken over i think by arabs and i dont think they even own there own ground and not in prem with history of massive debt etc..so i think something must be on the verge for us ..

Agree0 Disagree0

Stef Mick mcarthy has turned down the Forrest job after being interviewed so something is not right,...the new owners sell fridges for a living and I no it's hot were they come from but you would have to sell a lot of fridges to finance a footy club,....looking at Leeds they are looking really jammy bates lives in Monaco and moves in the right circles and it's looks like a member of the quatari royal family is taking over this was confirmed by Neil warnock this morning on talksport,,,..but as bill kenwrigt said no ones buying football clubs in this climate there's no money out there,......hello,..reading ,Forrest ,.Leeds ,....and am sure I've missed some out,........tristen

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Stef. Bill comes in for some unjustified stick, when other much wealthier glory hunting board members do absolutely nothing. I honestly believe that Bill does have the clubs best interests at heart, it's just unfortunate that he does not have the cash to back this up, and you know what they say " it's better the devil you know ".

Would like to see him on a performance based contract at Everton - and I'm sure he'd rather play for us than a 'come day go day' club like stoke - after the big clubs he's played for in his career I'm sure he'd rather do a last few seasons at a club he was bothered about than just pick up journeyman wages at some mediocre club - he doesn't need the money
