Just got home to Burton. What a great match. Though we rode our luck a few times but was pleased we had more shots on target in the first 10 minutes than over 4 games last season. Think defence is a worry but will improve with time.

Just back from the game boys and it was the first time I've been excited on the way to a game for years even though I was hungover to death. Love Richarlison, love Marco, love gana, love the fckin lot of them. Got a good feeling about this season lads!

Good win today same team as last year plus Richarlison. Look a completely different team must be Silva tactics . I believed we will get in the top 5 when the new players are introduced COYB.

Overall I'm very happy with our display today
There are new signings ready to come in and that will only strengthen us
Richarlison got hacked to death but still scored the winner
We look a different team from last season and the quality of Silva has shone through for me because there was only 1 player in the team who was new
For me.10/ 10 purely because of the fact it was the same players as last season.

Agree Pauly. Silva is getting a very different tune out of them.
The de fense needs a settled partnership but that will come with time.
I think when Walcott has an off day, Richarlison will show up and vice versa which bodes well.

He will weigh in this season and I think he is a natural finisher but he needs to get selfish and stop thinking about the team

A main striker needs to have a selfish streak and if he gets that he will hit 30.

The one person who had a bad game was the ref. They committed 20 fouls. Some much worse than Jags in the fact they were trying to hit the player and injure them whereas Jags was going for the ball. The ref should have booked earlier and sent someone off for some of the repeated fouling.

The Schneiderlin of the first season needs to come back and perhaps Silva can get the present Schneiderlin back to that form. He actually laid on a couple of creative passes in the few minutes he was on. We certainly look a different side with balanced flanks. Long may it continue.

Made up with the result but we still don't make it easy do we ha. Hope Tosun gets a goal soon, i have high hopes for him this season in this attacking team . Be interesting to see when and who manages to force there way into the team from the new arivals.

What a difference from some of the dross that served up last season. If Richarleson continues in this vein the transfer fee will have been a bargain. He not only looks comfortable on the ball and can score but he remembers his defensive duties too. Excellent . Great half. Awkward bounce for Pickford but he redeemed himself. More of the same please.

Unfortunately it wasn't as comfortable 2nd half but it is early days and we kept at it. Could have and should have scored more but 2 - 1 or 9 - 1 you only get 3 points. The next few games will see us more settled and give us a better indication of how the season will pan out. COYB.
