Instead of moaning all the time let's talk future signings for me top of list would be deulofeu 10m upfront and add ons if needed second would be batshauyi 8-10m cheaper option to Austin I would think also good for lukaku third I would take Lennon for 6m gives plenty of cover on wings badly needed keep mirallas goalkeeper I think can go another season without change most might disagree if possible another defender vermaelen on loan with option to buy would be nice promote some youth starting 11 next season Howard stones jagielka Coleman Baines McCarthy besic deulofeu Barkley mirallas lukaku very exciting and very young team with strong bench who would be your targets with 25-30m kitty

Our first signing needs to be Garbutt on a free.

Batshuayi would cost a lot more than 10 imo Coby. Also think Marseilles won't sell him.

Do hope we sign lennon now. After today, am sure he'll make a good addition.

Austin over batshuyai as he will be cheaper, wouldn't sign vermaelan as he's poo and always injured.

Can't say that I agree on Deulofeu Cobyone. I see him as just another glory-hunting Kevin Mirallas type player. More interested in his own image than the good of the team. Would gladly take Lennon, sell Mirallas. Then would like to see Garbutt signed long-term. A decent centre-half perhaps Caulker should QPR go down. Then a new attacking midfielder/winger and a back-up RB to keep Seamus on his toes. I agree that GK can last another yr, besides Joel looked alright when he played. But Deulofeu please no.

Not going to moan, well I am a bit. I really don't know how much more of this negativity from a so called premiership manager I can take. Bottom of the table Burnley down to 10 men and what does the genius do? Take of Mirrallas and play a half arsed Kone wide left?? Really? All season this Jokers decisions with subs have had me pulling hair out. When a team goes compact as they are down to 10 men surely the best form of attack is to stretch the play and use the width, so why make that sub? Going to give him 10 games to convince me next season that this season was just a blip but somehow can't see him changing my view. After watching us struggle against a 10 man Newcastle and then today against a 10 man Burnley I am convinced this bloke has no idea. This isn't Wigan you tool, this is Everton and we expect better.

Maybe he wanted to give Kone playing time, and didn't want to push Kevin to hard given recent injury problems?

My point about struggling against Newcastle was when they went down to 10 we didn't look like the side with the extra man and that was the same yesterday.

I would think he possibly took Mirrallas off because of that tackle. It was a possible red so to defuse any further niggling by the opposition he was removed

Just read RM's response to penalty takers. Apparently, Rom is the designated penalty taker (did he get a clause in his contract when he signed?) despite Baines only missing one in 16 attempts. He then went on to call LB a 'specialist' and that we have 3 or 4 lads who can take them. Well if someone is a specialist, and has a very good record of converting penalties, then why would you not have him as the designated taker? And surley the ball should have been taken off Ross if the peno taker was on the bench. This manager continues to confuse me on a weekly basis

The man has an appendage on his head. It is so frustrating that we see a side (that drew) that took it to Swansea I.E. Roberto playing possession football in the opposition half and then the next game he reverts to type. Yes let's play Barry in front of the back four (lets face it like Moyes this bloke has his favourites) but why not let the likes of McArthy play his natural game. It just not makes sense that you take a talent like Barkley and make him play defensive football, or McArthy a box to box player and restrict him to a few yards either side of the half way line. I tell you if this bloke is still with us next season and the next we are guaranteed 11th 12th once we recover from the 'slump'. Roberto for gods sake you have a good bunch of players, pick the best eleven in their best positions and I guarantee you will see the real Everton.

1- nil to a bottom of the table team with 10
men for 45 mins.
no plan B for this situation.
we will be stuck with this fake as a manager
for another season.

god we moan about winning. Also playing against 10 men ain't as easy as people make out,cos they get everyone behind the ball and try this on the break.just enjoy the win.

Burnley are bottom of the table so have everything to play for and they aren't a bad side it's time some people started to look at the positives instead of jumping on every little problem. I agree this season has been very disappointing but we have gone 5 games unbeaten 4 wins and a draw and 4 clean sheets that to me is something to be happy about. I'm starting to believe that no matter what happens on the pitch the good things will be ignored to stick the boot into Martinez now I'm not saying he doesn't deserve some critism but I think some people still can't accept that he was relegated with a much poorer Wigan team Alex Ferguson wouldn't have kept that side up for now I am choosing to accept Martinez is our manager not our enemy.

Maybe I am biased because I only see the game from behind the goal at Gladwys but today I have to be honest and say that it looked like Roberto had told them to revert to the style of early season. Why he should do that against a Team we were expected to beat is beyond me.

o.k.yes I moan.
a win Is a win,& 3 points is 3 point, but please
Barkley taking the pen?
this season, he couldn't hit his own backside with a banjo.
KM should have been sent off for that tackle,
If some of you lot are happy with our situation then carry on
slating posters like me.
But for me the clue is in our club motto,
& for me nothing but the best will do.
Mid table mediocrity might be acceptable for some Evertonians
but not for me.
I have served my time as a blue nose for 60 years,& will not
accept this dross,& will keep saying so until we get rid of
Mr.Bean & his cosmic football.

Totally agree HH. 100% . I am the same 60 yrs following the club. Standard, quality, performance no where near good enough. Nothing but the best is acceptable has to be preached from the top down, ie board level down.
The taking of penalties has now become a farce. No way when Baines is on the pitch should anyone else have been taking it, especially at 0-0. Different matter if they were 3 up. I am not a footballer but would imagine taking a penalty at Goodison with full house is more nerve racking than practice on training pitch. Why doesn't the captain take some responsibility in deciding who takes it if there's doubt. Still comes back to bad management or lack of management. That's 2penalties, 2 cocky ps and 2 missed.

Howard-6-had nothing to do. Coleman-6-asleep most of the game and didn't get forward, when he did, well, those crosses are bad. Stones-7.5-solid, had ings quiet all game and did some great tackles. Jagielka-7.5-immense today, won his headers and didn't mess about. Baines-6-ive had enough, honestly, that corner? What was that? Then the other one, first man again, lost it all the time and can't cross to save a life, amongst our regulars, bar howard he's been our worst player this season. Mccarthy-7-solid, couple of shots but didn't see enough of the ball. Barry-8.5-incredible today, dare I say, phenominal? Did one bad pass mainly because he was falling over, calm on the ball and was solid. Lennon-7.5-frightening with his pace, maybe not so much second half but was boss again, worked hard and kept the ball well. Barkley-5-what was that penalty? So arrogant, greedy as he had THREE chances to put player through but shot, got the ball off mccarthy and tried to give it straight back when he has 4 players around him!? that's just stupid, no vision, kept losing it, not good enough, again. Mirallas-6-scored a goal and yep that's about it. Kone-6-now let me just give him credit for one thing, well, 2, he passed the ball better and worked hard but where are those powerful shots he had at wigan? Gone, it wasnt him not shooting well, it was him not shooting at all. Lukaku-6-thank god he's back, held it up well. Naismith-6-hiya naisy. Besic-6-YES!, glad to see him back on the pitch. They had 10 men and what did we do? Sit back of course!, boring game and the fans, well, no atmosphere at home, we were not very good, ah well, still got 3 points.

Reckon the full backs did better than your letting on Swan.

Baines was lively in the 2nd half, and Coleman very much so in the 1st. Would like the Set peices to be much better. Also, Barkley bar the pen played better than I've seen him play before.

Me too Devontoffeelad. I think Swan sees a different player to me. He has now had quite a few games at center forward and has yet to score a goal. Yes he has had terrible injuries and yes he does sort of hold the ball up quite well, but how many shots? How many assists? How many involvements in build up play? I thought he was crap and I still think he is pee poor overall. I said so when we signed him and said he was no better than much younger Anichebe who we sold to fund the purchase. At least Anichebe has scored a few goals and still has a sell on value. Kone is another useless wage taker who has brought zilch to this club. And I was exaggerating when I say zilch.
