Although the result was a bad one yesterday and performance was not there, the fact we could and should of scored 3/ 4 goals gives me a bit of positivity, they weren't just good chances they were sitters, the 3rd goal was always going to be decisive.
Bernard looks like he will be a crowd favourite bags of skill but work rate was outstanding he does no mind getting stuck in for such a small player.

You forget how bad West Ham are.

We can all agree yesterdays result was bad, but slagging off the manager after only five games is pathetic and ubcalled for. Poor finishing, poor marking and individual mistakes by Pickford etc, plus a West Ham side that were up for it are the reasons we lost. We will improve.

Slagging of a manager is ridiculous we were 2 nil down due to errors and silva tried to do something about it and the sub was always going to leave gaps in behind But if we took our chances like West Ham did we would of got a result.

Very poor show yesterday. Not helped by ever changing defence. I watched the match on holiday on a Portuguese channel. The average position of Zouma and holgate was pretty much on the half way line according to the stats they showed. Would explain why we get carved open. Unfortunately Silva hasn't a clue how to set us up to keep a clean sheet. Think back three is the way forward. Get Mina fit, Jags and Keane. One holding midfielder with Siggy sat deeper. Bernard, Walcott and Richalison. Tosun up front. Still rate Tosun as our best option but needs a goal as confidence is low. In for another long season I'm afraid.

Stating the obvious. It was a bad game yesterday.

The 5 men in defence were all to blame and maybe too many changes at the back this season is not helping them gel.

Zouma should have been inline with the other three defenders to put Anoutavic offside. Instead he played him on with headless chicken Holgate over committing.

Kenny constantly was out of position and had to make numerous last ditch tackles. He's not managing his position well. Digne on the other side had no help and was constantly caught between marking two players.

Pickford has not started this season well. His kicking which is usually excellent cost us the second goal and is putting us back under pressure as he is not reaching his target.

In the middle for me yesterday Silva should have left Snids on and took Gana off. Gana goes roaming and it was him not covering the middle the cost us the third goal. Snids has been much better this season but what his does do is hold the middle and keeps protecting the back four.

Upfront was really good in creating chances but terrible for taking them. Tosun needs taking off and I'd put Theo upfront. You can put Ricky there but he is much better running from deep. If we do change it we can't put hopeful balls up and need to pass our way forward as they are not target men.

I said we would get beat and badly and playing badly. It happened yesterday but I believe we will learn and get better.

It's not Ricky that has been the missing link though it's the individual mistakes that are costing us. The players are at fault nothing more than that. Maybe Mina is the solution as CB. Definitely Keane is being missed. However, hopefully, soon we will have a full team to choose from and we can finally start to see a true idea of what this team can do.

I think Tosun scores 9/ 10 with that header just not happening for him at moment but at least he is getting chances. The fact we are creating chances is a good sign as we weren’t creating anything last season.

Had he put his neck muscles into it he would have scored.

He probably wasn't expecting such a great cross from digne and caught him out. It was a flimsy header. He can finish tho and needs a goal or two to get his confidence back. God even Harry kane went goalless in first month until this season. We still have to see what Mina and Gomes can bring to the party.

I like Tosun don't get me wrong but he is struggling and sometimes coming off the bench has less pressure. Give him a bit of a rest and change it up a little.

we would also do better in bringing Hornby on instead of Niasse. Let's give him a chance to see what he can do. Off the bench there is no expectation.

Hornsby was poor for the u23s Monday night, nows not the time to bring the lad in, send him out on loan, toughen the kid up.

Personally I would go all out to try and get Bas Dost in, a giant of a forward who scored 45 concecative goals with just one touch, looks a beast at 6ft 5 and plenty of goals in the guy.

Digmi, Kenny floating the balls in and link up play with Walcott, Richarlison and Siggerson. Cannot think of a better option to bring in.

It might not be nev and that's why, like with DCL you bring him into the squad and off the bench now and again.

However, Niasse is a complete waste of space. You may as well just take the player off and play with ten men.

I do think some people go over the top and wonder when they will learn. There seems no middle ground it’s just like England supporters. Either we are brilliant and going to break top 6 or win World Cup or the manager is no good and relegation or years behind other nations.
We have a new management team who are making changes some will have an instant impact other things will take time. It’s been remarkable turn over in players. There is still more needed but the biggest changes have happened.
I reserve judgement on Tosun he lacks pace but maybe he needs support as either a front two or Walcott and Richarlison being closer to support.
Niasse has got to go though I often laugh at the guy he is that bad but enough is enough now. Maybe a really nice guy and a big heart but we need more than that.
I would like to see DCL as striker and Walcott and Richarlison on wings they could all interchange then too.
I really rate Holgate but maybe he needs to play as a back three as he’s not physically strong enough yet to play as a two.
Maybe wingbacks is the way forward that’s best I have seen Kenny offensively.
Schneiderlin has improved and I think he can still be a big player for us and win the supporters over, he has improved and in fairness yesterday he may not have been in the correct frame of mind after losing his father.
It was a poor overall performance yesterday and lots of individual mistakes. Pickford needs to knuckle down now but he is still young for a goalkeeper and the World Cup will effect him.
Once everyone is fit and I eventually we will need a striker who can get 20/ 30 goals to take us to challenge the top 4.
Look at the positives we where behind and the manager was aggressive and made early changes, one was before halftime and gave us a chance. It left us open 2nd half and on another day with more clinical finishing we may have got something from the game and Marco would be a genius attack minded manager who is a breathe of fresh air from big Sam. We create more chances now and two goals conceded because our fullbacks rightly so gamble and push forward unfortunately if the Striker doesn’t hold it up and loses possession we are caught out on counter attack. Onwards and upwards we may have lost but there will be times this season when we gamble and get the rewards.

No excuses, we were poor yesterday against West Ham. At the back there was too much space for the WH forwards to run in behind us. Once again goals were conceded due to poor distribution or allowing left footers to cut in onto their stronger foot. Up front we created chances with several good crosses into the box, mainly from the fullbacks but, apart from the Sig goal no one in the middle to take advantage of them. It's amazing that we are missing Ricky so badly as without him there was little quality shown

Apart from Kenny and Bernard most of the team was below par and there wasn't any consistent chasing to get the ball back.

Looking forward to Mina coming into the side, getting Ricky back, seeing more of Bernard and looking at what Gomes can do in place of a strangely ineffective Sigardson this season.

I knew the start of the season, with all the new players, half of which we have hardly seen, would be difficult so I am disappointed but not unduly worried. There has been enough promising signs and a change in the teams attitude that give me cautious optimism.

The biggest problem with our defence is the way it is set up, do not know what the coaches are doing but there is no understanding between the back four. You can have the best defenders in the world but if they are set up badly they will not work as a unit, it is poor coaching.
The midfield runs round like headless chickens, we are a champion team at best largely down to the managers bad coaching.
Digna is a great crosser of the ball but cannot defend, not a patch even on an ageing Baines.
Well I was pessimistic before the season started and now feel that very sadly I am 110% right.
Yes it is early days but exept for Richarlson as one player there is nothing to encourage me.
