I'm getting a bit desperate for some good solid transfer news.
Would love to see: Deloufo, Austin, a playmaker, centre back and henen to sign long term and sell Mcgeady and bad egg mirallas with a couple of young talents. plus a sneaky lennon deal because we can!

{Ed025's Note - your a man after my own heart pauly mate..

Ed, is there any news on the deulofeu deal it's all gone very quiet. Also are the links to payet true, thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the del boy deal is at the ironing out details stage dan, he wants to come and its all about number crunching on the personal details..payet is not coming, west ham have offered him £70k per week and we cant or more to the point wont match it mate, shame that as i think he is talented..

17 Jun 2015 21:11:02
So deulofeu is a probable. I like payet too but looks like he's chose the money then. We should be stumping up 70k a week though if we Wanna move forward

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree dan, with all the sky money surely that sort of money cant be beyond us mate..or is it?.. :(

17 Jun 2015 21:23:06
It's a bit strange if u ask me ed. We can pay cleverley 50k but we can't pay a talented creative player who were crying out for 70k? We're not loaded but we're not paupers it really needs sorting out. I think chances are payet would have chose us over West ham. Anyone else were looking at ed? I'll chip in and pay a tenner a week to messis wages if he's intetested

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we are interested in austin dan, and im sure we will hear about others pretty soon mate..

17 Jun 2015 21:41:00
Thanks ed. Be great to get Austin. Appreciate all the hard work u guys put in

{Ed025's Note - cheers mate..

18 Jun 2015 08:43:11
Surely wages can't be an issue I'd think Lukaku is on more than 70k

18 Jun 2015 15:11:19
I think the problem is that at the moment are average wage is probably 50k a week. So if we start buying players that want more the players we already have will expect more aswell.

Look at cleverly.
Although I'm happy with the signing I don't think it's fair to put him infront of most of are players Earning wise before he's even kicked a ball.

We definitely need to up are average wage to compete with the other teams but I feel it needs to be done over a few years.

Podolski & Johnny Evans both as short as 6/5 to sign for us by the end of the summer on oddschecker, know it's not the be end all and end all the betting odds but usually a good reflection

Thought he'd already gone to Galatasary, Podolski for £1.4 m

That Kjaer Lille centre back just moved on a free. Thought he was half decent

Apparently he turned down a few prem teams including us to play in the champions league, agree though would have been a good signing

These fixtures should be seen as an opportunity not a negative. Apart from moyes when in charge of United and us no top 4-7 manager complains about the fixtures. If anything this start will allow us to challenge the "bigger" clubs early and when our squad depth gets tested mid season we have a supposed easier run.

''chance for Liverpool to get some measure of revenge''

Ahem, I bloody hope not.

However it will be the first real opportunity for BR to nail his colours to the mast etc. for the future campaign and surrender to no one, and punish those who would think that for one minute he might .

Anyway back to reality, Stoke will smell blood as soon as Brendan and the boys get off the bus!

Lol:)

So if we sign this Estonian defender Ragner Klaven our defence will have gone from Jags to Rags.

Sorry too much coffee.

Why do we always get promoted sides first; they are always hard to beat at the start of the season:as they have not had their morale battered by then.

First 3 months is a tough fixture list; well either we be praising Roberto or he will be sacked in October. Tough start; coyb's

I actually think that the fixtures will favour Roberto's situation. If we are in a bad position come November he can make the 'tough run in' excuse.

''tough run in' excuse'

Tell you Tom you just nailed RM mate.

Imho Martinez is a decent 'knockout comp.' manager,

where he knows teams have to commit or get errr well knocked out!
Leaguewise he just cannot cope with bus parkers and patient type teams that wear his 'tippy tappy' or 'tiki- taka' crappy methods down!

Problem is that excuse will carry weight with the board. I hope he proves us all wrong, but if not I'd say we are stuck with him until at least January.

Okay so I'm interested in hearing your opinions on the Garbutt situation.

If it came down to this.

1. He leaves on a free and possibly to another prem team

2. Or he stays but we sell baines for say 6-12 mill and have him and Oviedo as are main left backs.

Personally I would opt for the latter. Baines isn't getting any younger and you only have to look at Luke shaw who I don't belive is much better to see what can happen after one good season when your a young English player.

Just imagine him going to Liverpool which I doubt but it has been rumoured and him having a good season and being valued at 30mill.

I personally couldn't imagine anything worse!

I don't think it's up to us anymore mate, he is going and he wants too, going on a freebie means double the wages and nice big signing on fee, money talks, if he was that good then we would have tied him down a couple of years ago

Agree4 Disagree1

17 Jun 2015 08:21:13
Point 2 for me. I don't mind selling players for good money as that's the game now. As long as we can get around £10 million for Baines I'd be happy.

But we'd have to be patient as we probably wouldn't go a whole season without Oviedo getting injured and Garbut untested over a full season at this level.

Let's hope the young lad has been reminded of the Embarrassing situation Gosling put himself in and not do a similar career wrecking move.

I agree with toffee ace. I think best case scenario is we keep hold of garbutt and baines. Then possibly sell Oviedo to moyes can't see it but ya never know

17 Jun 2015 13:48:13
Think it might be a good idea too have luke garbutt, sit down and have a chat with Franney Jeffers, before he makes any dessions. The boy could have been a great, for everton and england, the grass is not always greener on the other side of the feance.

Agree2 Disagree1

17 Jun 2015 19:21:03
Get him tp sit down with Dan Gosling! We all now how he flourished when he left for pastures new. not. The contract is there and if he doesn't want it then fine let him go. We can't encourage players to hold the club to ransom if they are to get a new deal. If he wants first team assurances then how about doing what Coleman did and spending a season out on loan to prove that you can cut it over a season.

{Ed025's Note - fair point gray..

Few news sites have reported a possible move for Shinji Kagawa. Any likelihood of this? Would be a fantastic signing, proper player, great feet and passing. I think he could be the playmaker we have been so obviously missing. Had a turgid time at Man U, but was rarely played in his strongest position. On the few occasions he did he bagged a few goals. Could also be a relative bargain too, as Dortmund's manager doesn't plan to use him. Anyone care to speculate on how much he'd cost?
