Some people want Kenwright cause hes a blue... But if his own board dont trust him with money like a previous poster said, then there must be something wrong with him behind closed doors

That poster was just a kenwright hater. If he was not trusted by the board, believe me he wouldn't be at the club.......

Sure it would be great if Sir Blue Beatle McCartney took over the club. Even greater if DM got a Mancini sized kitty. Wish all you want but what is real:
Keep Fellaini and Baines - Good
Add Pienaar and Naismith - Excellent
Bonus one more skilled attacker - As good as it gets
If you aren't happy with that you have my sympathy because you are destined to be disillusioned frustrated and blue.

I know Jelavic was a hit at Goodison but dont expect anything from Naismith if he arrives at Everton. Well past his best and im sure even Everton should be aiming higher {Ed001's Note - well past his best? He is 25 and was having a brilliant season until he got injured, without a doubt the best player in Scotland last season. And yes, that does include Jelavic! So long as he recovers well from his injury, he would be a superb signing, Rangers' season fell apart purely because they lost him.}

IF MOYESY, IS SIGNING THIS NEW CONTRACT (IMHO HE WILL) AND HES GETTIN A "PAY RISE", HOW IS BILL GETTIN THE MONEY 4 THAT AND POSSIBLY NOT ABLE 2 GIVE MUCH IN THE WAY OF TRANSFER KITTY. IVEHERD THAT THERE IS A POSS 15MIL ASWEL AS THE PAY RISE.....

Here is a tip for you. Everton leave their business till the last minute so they do not have to pay a salary. Its as simple as that! We will probably see our first towards the end of July!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Strongly disagree. Everton are probably gonna move quickly and get their business done asap to meet pre season friendly deadlines etc. I expect the Pienaar deal to be wrapped up within the next few weeks and a few buys to be made in the first few weeks of the window opening. Moyes is in Poland as we speak probably tapping up available talents as he always does. He rarely fails to disappoint so have a bit more faith in him eh? Unless you're a closet red in which case bob off back to your own site and discuss how much you want Cavani, Ramirez, De Jong, Walcott, Johnson and Sigurdson but as usual only get one.

Afternoon fellow toffees.
After mulling over the recent transfer speculation and Moyes' shrewd suggestion to Kenwright, I reckon a prosperous summer is lying ahead. Just as a little challenge I set myself, I tried to pick a decent starting XI for next season and here's my honest results.
GK:Howard.
RB:Hibbert.
CB:Heitinga.
CB:Jagielka.
LB:Baines.
RM:Naismith.
CM:Gibson.
CAM:Fellaini.
LM:Pienaar.
CF:Mandzukic.
CF:Jelavic.

In my honest opinion easily a squad that could challenge for a top 4 any day of the week and well within our restraints. The way Hibbert performed towards the end of the last season was no cause for concern. He's a more than reasonable RB with tremendous crossing ability. If we can get Mandzukic for £6-7m, Pienaar for £3-4m max and Naismith (depending on the SFA) for £2m (or free, both work!) then we're not overspending and bolstering our squad in the process. That combined with a cheeky free (Rodellega, Moses maybe?) and the typical January loan signing (Donovan of course) I see us hitting the season full on in the face and hopefully finishing in the top 4. Your thoughts Ed?

MikeyBlueNose {Ed025's Note - for me mikey..mandzukic is too similar to jelly to be a good partner, both good players, but i would like a quick small guy with jelly...the euros may prove me wrong though, but i like the rest of it..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hard one to call Ed. I like Mandzukic as I believe he poses more of an aerial threat than Jelavic but I understand where you're coming from. With guidance from Moyes I reckon they could work together in differing roles (maybe Mandzukic playing just behind Jelavic so he can link up with Fellaini and Pienaar respectively). Sadly good attacking options are so rare to come by. I like the thought of Cardozo it's just his price tag. A cost effective bargain basement striker would do us great like Hooper maybe? Up to debate I guess.

MikeyBlueNose

Agree0 Disagree0

I keep saying Mandzukic and Jelavic are too similar, hence going for the same balls in the Euros. We need a sharp nippy partner for Jelavic JP {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Your saying there both are going for the same ball.thats a good thing, but from what i have seen thats good, does that not mean they are both hungry for goals? and is that want you want in striker??
well thats what i thought...
the Yak lost his hunger, so did saha, and big vic seems not to have the hunger because of injurys,
well thats my thought
y0rksh1re_blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Hate the way papers keep linking us with unproven players. League 1 to the premier league is a hell of a step up. Even Beckford struggled keeping pace. Sure he was fast but his end product was awful. Strikers like Rhodes aren't our class quite yet. Realistically players from Italy, Spain, Portugal etc could fit in quite well and adjust reasonably fast (of course there's gonna be a settling in period unless your names Kroldrup). The price quoted for Mandzukic was £7m but as stated in my previous post we could pick up Cardozo for around a million more. He's strong, physical and always fighting for the ball. Surely worth a punt especially as Benfica aren't willing to renew his contract? Thoughts guys and Ed? {Ed025's Note - i cant see us having that sort of money mate...he is a very good player...but out of our price range i fear..

Getting a bit restless now, the likes of West Ham and Southampton are making bids and bringing players in already, and yet Everton are really quiet. I've been scowering the entire web looking for a proper legitimate signing Everton are hopin to pull in, but there's not one to be found. They haven't even said anything about Naismith, which is worrying. Just looking for some reassuring news sources.

All I can say is lets hope this Spurs thing goes away. Obviously a biased view but upset Lineker refers to them as bigger club or its a bigger job, like they are a regular top 4 club. They have had a couple of good seasons thanks to our old friend Redknapp but thats about it. They've won nothing and got no where really for all the talk of being a bigger clubs than ours! It would be a bad move for him in my view, its not a step up at all. I could not argue if it was a genuine step up to a bigger club than ours but its not. But for a ref decision we may have made C.L football as well, other than that we have been in Europe faily regularly and been to semi's and finals.

Lets all pull together and not have the distractions of last years pre-season and early season amongst ourselves, that didnt help the club at all at the time, we need a good positive start. If we can add a couple of decent players and keep David at the club we are on the brink of something special. Forget worrying about the ground, money etc. We have a manager capable of overcoming those things. Lets concentrate on the players and staff we have got and drive it on.

I for one cannot wait for next season and look forward to supporting the team home and away with all of you in full terrifying voice! COYB. {Ed025's Note - really good post that mate...it would have been better if you had put a name to it though..

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I agree mate but moyes and the fans do there job every season it is now time for the board to stand up and do theres and show some ambition then we wont have to worry about losing moyes and players i think we will have moyes for 1 more season at least . but this board have got to get up of there arses and start showing us fans they want this club competing for trophies again like every one of us .stef the blue {Ed025's Note - well put stef..

I hope Moyes stays put and after seeing him on the beeb last night speaking about loyalty I feel a little better today......now it's down to old Bill to show some loyalty to Moyes and work his rear end off to get Moyes the funds he needs......Like I said I feel a little better but if Moyes doesn't leave for spurs and Bill does the dirty by shafting him with little funds after he stays when the next big club to come a knocking Moyes will walk...... {Ed025's Note - i tend to agree..

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason why their millionaires mate is because they dont splash the cash thats why clubs like brum and pompey have gone under because they spent money they dont have {Ed025's Note - we dont want them to spend money that they dont have..just some of the money they DO have..

Agree0 Disagree0

Love too know how deep green is into everton because he has some serious dosh

Agree0 Disagree0

Granchester is a billionaire, but I believe isn't comfortable handing money over with Bill at the helm.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's that uncomfortable with bill, why doesn't he buy the club himself? I know it's probably not that simple, but he knows what the clubs worth, he knows what the club owes bill, so is there a reason he doesn't buy? Is it that he's not that interested in running a club, or he knows how much money is really needed to turn the club around, and I don't just mean the playing side. The debts, new stadium etc. blue Lee

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Grantchester a billionaire? I know the Moores family are rumoured to be worth £1.5 billion, but I don't think Grantchester is worth anything like that. We really need a billionaire who isn't afraid to take a financial hit in the short term, and there aren't many of those about. {Ed025's Note - worth £1.2 billion...and as tight as a ducks arse..

I like lots of others heard the comments made by David Moyes to Gary Linacre, and my opinion is definitely now I don't think Moyes would go to Spurs because he made it very plain that he thought the treatment of Harry Redknapp by the Spurs Board was dispicable ! Why would he want to work for people who treat their manager that badly? Give the man some money Mr Kenwright to keep us competitive and respect Moyes for the brilliant manager he is.
