I agree with all of it ed001 (except the mid table jag) . Liverpool destroyed Utd in every department and the only positive for them was it was only 3-1.

Anyone think if gana is still injured for spurs game, baines should be given a crack at left side DM. Worked well with Lahm at Bayern. I'm not comparing Baines with Lahm btw.

We need LB in just to take pens.

I think Silva knows Bainsey still has something to offer and is trying to come up with a plan to utilise him somehow. We can't let him go elsewhere just yet and he is wasted on the bench.

I'm not going to make any predictions for the game against Spurs - my record has been awful lately - but if we don't get at least 9 of the possible 12 points available over the next 4 games I'll be more than a little miffed. We need to get back to basics by keeping it tight at the back and using our pace to open teams up. In Silva We Trust COYB!

Kane rarely has a bad game Nev, and Spurs are a very dogged determined side so we will have to be at our best. As for your comment S and M - I'd rather trust Silva and have faith in him than be bitter and miserable.

bignev - Anything can happen against Spurs, though I've rarely seen Kane have a bad game and they are a very strong side. S and M - It's obvious you don't have trust in him by your snide comment, which is fine, but don't try to bring others down to your doom-filled level.

You said your predictions have been awful Big H, that’s why I want you to build Kane and Spurs up, trying a bit of reverse psychology hoping your prediction falls flat and we get a result :-)

I guessed as much Nev, but I'd hate to big Spurs up too much and it backfire and they win. I'd feel like a jinx if that happened ;-p.

If I was Silva I would sit all the players down and make them watch the way Messi scores most of his goals. He passes the ball into the net unlike our players who just blast away. If they score it looks like a spectacular goal but more often they just balloon the ball over the net into the stands. Most of our players can pass the ball along the ground reasonably accurately so why don't they do the same when they are in-front of goal?

ahahah I think every managers dream would to be have players that can finish like messi mate.

Joe Royle got a tune out of Big Dunc by showing him videos of himself when he played at no 9. The suggestion has merit and whilst we all like a giggle any suggestions would be welcome to me if it meant improvement. No one will play as good as Messi just by watching him but they will improve surely.

Actually a lot of teams have players that do it better than ours. Not sure why we have coaches if they can't teach our players some simple techniques. We have fast players who time and time again get into good scoring positions and welly away and miss by a mile. A little composure and a simple tap in is all that is needed.

ie. Delefou finishing. Gutted we didn’t keep him. Imagine that Richarlison or Bernard on the left and Delefou or Lookman on the right. Not here to criticise Walcott but would be an improvement. Who wouldn’t want to be our striker with the service they would receive.

Wolves seem to have taken over Everton's place of seventh but we don't intend to spend twenty years in seventh, winning FA. We are going for top six, then top four starting with your local rivals on Friday. Be sure to tune in.

I remember one bloke who I played football with for 3 years, he never missed a training session and 90 odd percent of the time could be seen on the training ground long after most of us had left and practice hitting the ball from all angles and at all strengths, that was at my level. At the premiership level I can think of Lampard and didn't he often stay behind after training and was also nearly always first there. Do any of our players do that. That is a long way to becoming good and able to 'pass' the ball into the net.
