What you think on Bonatini at Wolves. I've been watching them when they are on tele an he seems a premier league player to me. I'm sure he's young an came through the Juventus youth system from what I've seen online. I'm not sure if he's on loan or they have signed him. I don't see him as an allerdyce signing but from what I've seen I'd have a go on him and can't imagine him being expensive.

I'm sure a lot of blues will disagre but before yas do. Just watch them next time there on tele. The kid can play.

What you think? Is he a option or no chance.

Agree Ed 0333 but 10 points out of 12 in four games is excellent, we would have been nowhere near that with the last two managers in a month of Sundays mate.

{Ed0333's Note - I concur wholeheartedly but the caveat is I think youre treading water with Allardyce. I would have gone with a younger manager who would be there to build a dynasty. I think Sam wasn’t a neccecarry appointment as you had plenty of games left in the season to be in any real danger of relegation. At the end of next season you’ll have to bring in another manager and start again. So in my opinion you’ve just wasted 18 months and a heck of a lot of money. Not exactly a good piece of business footballing or financially. But on the plus side hey you’ve got a few more points on the board.

I disagree about the timeing of bringing in Sam, something had to be done to jolt them out of the confidence, results slump and the sooner (thank goodness) came before the later was too late. As to the financial gain or loss, I look at money well spent if it A. Saves us from relegation and B. Enables us to finish as high up the table as possible. After all doesn't the higher we finish mean more money from the pot. Finally as I have mentioned before I also take issue with the preception that Sam is a neanderthal in footballing terms. One person up in the stands, communicating with the boss below, another doing his legwork, cajoling and encouraging on the side, plus the employment of a good fitness coach and sports Psychologist (as and when needed) all points to a setup in touch with the realities of the modern game.

If Sam won the prem, the champions L, and the FA cup, I suspect the Sam haters, would still find fault with something.
He is doing GREAT JOB, and, but for a newspaper stunt, would be the man leading the English national side at the world cup, we are lucky to have him and I hope the board have the balls and the brains to give him a contract extention, we gave a 3 year one to martiez, that only cost us 10m.

thanks for the reply Ed, but i now reckon Big Sam will be with us for a long term, this is the Biggest Club he has ever been at in his long career and for once in his life he will get a decent budget in the transfer window, he has so much to prove at Everton, i believe he has the managerial knowhow to mix it with the big boys ie Klopp, Mourinio, Wenger etc, and they will now hate playing us under Sam because of his experience in the Premier League, you just have to see what happened to Klopp in the interview after the game with Liverpool spitting his dummy out, how dare Everton draw or even try and win at Anfield, they better start getting used to it because as i said above Big Sam is here to stay, and I for one will be one will be made up with that, just to finish I have been a fan of Everton since the 60s and this are very exciting times for us.

{Ed0333's Note - Guernsey I respect your optimism but don’t share it mate. Everton isnt a long term project for Allardyce. In my humble opinion I think he isn’t the man to take you anywhere near the top 4 and I wouldn’t be uncorking that champagne just yet. Let’s revisit this debate in twelve months I think it will be interesting.

I agree with your 1st comment Ed. One swallow does not make a summer. Lose our next 5 games and people will be calling for Big Sam's head and saying the 4 wins were down to Unsworth!

{Ed0333's Note - I just think it was a knee jerk appointment. I highly doubt you were going down this season and clearly weren’t gonna win the league so take a while longer and appoint someone that can take you not just to the next level but a level above that. Someone like Tuchel or Nagilsmann. I’m not saying they would have come but to appoint someone whose nearly 64 doesn’t scream planning for the future to me.

The plus side Ed0333 is that we have SA, the points are a result of us having him. Nobody knows if he can take us to the next level as we are the biggest team he has ever managed. The chances are he can move us to the next stage and prove to be a good piece of business both football and financial.

{Ed0333's Note - what’s the next stage top 6? I doubt Sam Allardyce will do that for you.

Not really tho ed, could’ve got Silva in to build a dynasty and we would probably still be in the bottom 3.

Financially it makes perfect sense as staying in the premier league is much better than fighting relegation but building a dynasty in the chanpionship.

{Ed0333's Note - I highly doubt whatever coach you would have appointed would have got you relegated. Sticking with Unsworth might have done though. Look I completely get you guys wanting to be jingoistic about Sam ‘the saviour’ Allardyce but how many other top teams would take him on? I grant you he got the England job but that’s because he was the best of a very bad bunch of candidates.

To be a blue during that time of losing, and losing badly,
was just torture. Many of us really did believe that we would be relegated, therefore knee jerk or not we are truly thankful for this upturn in form.
Many of us are still not convinced that we are out of trouble as it’s so tight and we haven’t been exactly playing Electric football have we.
Tonight will be interesting as Swansea May fancy a crack at us regardless of form. If not, and they sit back, have we anything to really threaten them with? We’ll see later.
I’m hoping to be more optimistic after Christmas.

It’s not about what other teams would take him on, it’s about the situation we were in and watching that team every week, we were going down. Tuschel wouldn’t have fixed the defence as quickly as Allardyce, in fact I’d imagine we would still be losing every week. That team was awful, it was definitely going down unless we appointed someone to get quick results.

No one is silly enough to think Sam is going to take us forward, 18 month contract who’s to say we won’t sack him in the summer if someone better comes along, I imagine we will. No one is celebrating Sam, he’s no saviour, he’s come in to do a job and he’s doing that, not expecting anything from this season, we could’ve got Simeone or whichever magical manager in and this season would still be over. It’s the summer when we will find out the real ambition.

I'm glad he's at Everton but not getting carried away and realise he possibility could go anytime. I'm just a curious as to why you think he can't take us to the next level when he done it out of nothing with Bolton. Surely if he done it with them he can do it with us. Even if it was a while ago. Imho he moved with the times.

I'm not saying your wrong or anything. You could very well be proven right with time and I obviously respect your opinion on it.

So he gets pushed in the back, goes down, which 99% of footballers will do once in the box, and he is dirtiest player on the planet. A foul is a foul. A push in the back is a foul, therefor a penalty was given and even top referees agreed.

People still debating it, look at it like this, Lovren doesn’t even need to put his hands near Dom’s back but he does so it’s a penalty.

I’ve seen Liverpool fans so quietly bitter about it that they are saying Murphy, Carragher, Rush etc who ALL said it was a penalty actually have an agenda against Liverpool and that Carragher has an agenda against Lovren because he’s jealous Lovren still plays for them.

Okay, it’s a conspiracy up there with the most ridiculous I’ve heard.

I haven't heard a non liverpool supporter claim it not to be a penalty and some liverpool fans agreeing with the decision even some unsure. Todays game liverpool were awarded a foul for less. Just making themselves look like a bunch of clowns. Look livren messed up. deal.

And Allardyce will have to sacrifice a midfielder if Everton are to sign Sevilla's France international Steven Nzonzi, 29. (Daily Star Sunday) . Could this be Ross moving on to make way for another?

Nzonzi is a Fellaini . big, awkward but effective. Probably better in the tackle but not so good in the air. He would certainly free up our number 10 a bit whichever one is playing.
