Do you think hitzleberg will ending up signing a contract ed?

AntEFC {Ed025's Note - i think he will ant..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We could do with him as we're a but short if fellaini or Gibson ever get injured

AntEFC

Agree0 Disagree0

If Thomas Hitzlperger proves his fitness it really is a no-brainer in offering him a contract.
He would make a very useful addition to the holding midfield position lacking in skill and composure, especially if Gibson and/or Fellaini pick up injuries.
If DM, in the recent past, can offer contracts to the likes of Hannehman and McFadden there is absolutely no reason we shouldn't snack up Thomas who certainly would contribute in strengthening the squad.

Alright lads, I was just thinking about Moysie's 10 year reign and some of the players he's assembled in his tenure, and I put together a team of IMO his beat signings. It actually shocked me how many are in our team atm. So here it is:

GK: Tim Howard

RB: Seamus Coleman
CB: Phil Jagielka
CB: Joleon Lescott
LB: Leighton Baines

CDM: Toss up between Lee Carsley/Darron Gibson
RM: Kevin Mirallas
CM: Mikel Arteta
LM: Steven Pienaar

ST: Marouane Fellaini
CF: Nikica Jelavic

Any other teams would be really appreciated...

Jay EFC

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Sorry just realised, Moyes didn't sign Carsley.

Jay EFC

I would just change Howard for Nigel Martin.

No tim cahill,are u mad,2million

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't believe no-one mentioned Tim Cahill there!! 1.5 million for Tim he gave everything to this club and has scored more goals than Big Dunc!!
For me.....

Martyn (free transfer)

Coleman (60 grand)
Jagielka (4 million)
Lescott (4 million)
Baines (6 million)

RM. Arteta (2 million)
CDM. Gibson (500 grand)
CM. Fellaini (15 million)
LM. Pienaar (2.5million) although we got him again lol.

ST. Cahill (1.5 million)
CF. Jelavic (5.5 million)

37.6 million for all them players, and one of them players cost 15 million! Moyes- Genius

Hi ed, I saw someone saying on here they watched Odidja-Ofoe a few times for Brugge an he's been playing well and they hope we get him in January. I've been the same but with Lewis Holtby for Schalke, he has been class up to now this season. Already got a few goals and assists. I don't know if we are interested but with his dad an Everton fan an him wanting to come the prem one day who knows.

Dave Tuebrook

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Holtby would be brilliant, but I remember reading somewhere that Holtby and Schalke are discussing a new long term contract. So Everton would have to act fast!

Imagine in January signing Odjidja-Ofoe, Donovan and landing Holtby on a pre-contract and then joins us for our CL qualifiers :)

What's your take on this Ross Barkley debate Ed(s) ? Personally I think he's just another Rodwell with the potential to be a good player but like Rodwell I can't see him fulfilling it. I think people are missing the point about him playing for Sheff Wed. He should be shining there and taking a grip of games with his stature and the extra space the championship affords because the standard isn't the same as the prem obviously. People should stop blaming a bad SW team and concede that he's just another over-hyped kid {Ed025's Note - i happen to think the boy can be special...he needs a good run in a decent side to move forward..

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Then maybe we should have answered Neil Warnock when he asked for him. Granted, Warnock is an person but Leeds are a lot better than Wednesday and he would have been much better off there, just my opinion.
Joe EFC {Ed025's Note - mine too joe..

Agree0 Disagree0

The team to be loaning players to is Blackpool. They play some decent stuff, and would be much better for him than playing in a rubbish Sheffield Wed team.

Mike {Ed025's Note - i hate doing this...but your right mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the poster, when I saw him play last year, he was awful... And left big gaps in the middle of the pitch. His defensive play was shocking... He had good long passes but he didn't like to pass very often... Just what I thought, I know he's young, but look what rooney was like when he was younger than him... Also hate to say it but look at Raheem Sterling... Hes not in the same class as them at the minute, would love him to prove me wrong, but I can't see it...............

Mike the speaker of sense, finally

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed. is this the same poster who keeps bringing up the same point every couple of days about Barkley. Obviously this poster is a better judge of a player than moysie an the likes of Neville,Cahill, round and Harvey who all speak or have spoke very highly of the kid in the past. Me self I think this poster is either a kopite or someone who Ross skinned on the school yard. Most if not all of us know he is going to be class. And most of us are not even thinking about it coz were

remember going on loan is about getting experience, he's playing at abig club in front of a decent sized crowd, and if he's learning about working harder and having to fight to get anything out of a game it wont do him any harm, this will be better for him than playing reserve team footy.
ste c

Agree0 Disagree0

I can confirm for you liam that this is NOT the same poster who keeps bringing up Ross Barkley but is actually my first time asking the Eds about Ross and I can also confirm I am obviously not a better judge of player than the people you mention. However I AM entitled to my opinion and if you don't like it then that's your problem not mine

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry i didn't finish that post I can also confirm for liam I am no kopite neither was I skinned at school by Ross as I am twice his age but have been a season ticket holder for probably longer than you've been in this world {Ed001's Note - also I would like to point out that Sheff Weds fans have not stopped moaning about Barkley on their site. He has not impressed there at all, though that doesn't make him a bad player, everyone has bad patches.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Liam, Ross Barkley couldn't skin a cat at the moment. The people you mention who have been singing his praises are hardly going to come out and say he's absolutely sh1t3 are they ? If you wanna make assumptions based on erroneous misconceptions then I suggest you and he were school chums and that's why you are hyping him up

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who slates Ross needs their head examined. A number of points:

1. He's a kid. Knives down.
2. He's shown signs of promise. That's better than no promise right?
3. He cost us nothing and is on low wages.
4. He had a crippling injury at the worst possible time. Or have we forgotten that?
5. So what he hasn't lit up Sheffield? Who cares about them? They are useless...
6. He is not, and in my opinion, never has been a CM of the Gibson type. So if he was here, we wouldn't play him.
7. His attributes are pace, height/strength, ball control and shooting. Sounds like a CF to me.
8. There are other players in the academy. So if Ross doesn't fulfill his potential, someone else might. Who knows, that kid Green might turn out all right?

Can we move on now?

He is not good enough to clean bainsies boots.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Thats why i wont watch England because roy hodgson is a clown and i cant stand the t-t

Agree0 Disagree0

That is good news I don't want Baines anywhere near the England team. As a matter of fact, I don't want any of our players playing for any international team. I would be made up if they all retired from international duty. Keep them fit for us.

Mike {Ed025's Note - i agree mike..

Agree0 Disagree0

Blimey, Ed025 agrees with me on something. You feeling ok mate? Probably the first time someone has ever agreed with something I've posted.

Mike {Ed025's Note - if nothing else mike..im fair...now stop all the negative stuff, and get behind the boys...so i can agree some more mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree totally mike i for one couldnt give a sh.t about our players playing for england or any of the other respective coutries.to me it seems that over the years everton players are only picked for england begrudingly and when they do get picked they can have a mom preformance but you wouldnt think so going by the marks outta 10 the southern press rate them the next day theyve always got something negative to say against our boys for having the audacity to replace the likes of cole or terry.i only wanna see our lads playing for everton fc full stop. jimmy

Cheers {Ed025's Note - 7, 5, 5, 3...but that is just my view mate, only time will tell if i am correct or not..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Don't want to sound stupid but who's vassen?
BlueClarkey

That would be Jelle Vossen of Racing Genk Clarkey, also I would've thought Vadis would be an 8 or a 9 in terms of signing for us Ed ? You're obviously more itk than the rest of us mere mortals {Ed025's Note - im not mate, but i believe our interest cooled in summer..

Hi eds and fellow bluenoses,

Sorry been away from the site for a while, changing circumstances and recently had a week in hospital but its all good now. When opportunity has presented itself and I've been reading the posts it's all been good so had nothing important to say but I noticed that someone had commented that Tristan was needed to add a little humour and that Degs was still about but they felt it wasn't the same.

Is that because as Evertonians we don't know how to be happy?

It's been too long coming but I believe we will surprise everyone this season and there will be journos and tv men looking for Everton pundits to try and understand Everton, but no doubt when they fail, because its not in their blood, we'll get labelled as over achieving but hey who cares what the others say! Sounds like a cue for a song!

Seriously I believe we'll keep this going and by the time the transfer window closes and we have only added to the squad our momentum will be that great we will start to steamroller teams and then we will see !!

So the Redrubbishe have being given permission to build on to Anfield.I saw a post on here yesterday saying we will be left behind if we do not do something about our own ground which i agree with .But are our board even trying to do anything it seems to be gone all quiet on that front.Where will the money come from for a new ground or the redevelopment of Goodison we struggle to buy players every year without having to sell or is there a sponsor lined up if we get the planning permission does anyone know or is it just wishful thinking on or part that the money is there. There is one thing i am sure of though when the redrubbishes ground is redeveloped our board will come under increasing pressure from the fans to do something and i for sure will be one of them.So now lets see if our board can give us good news for a change instead of sitting in a quiet corner collecting there big fat pay checks .Stef the blue

Believable3 Unbelievable0

It would be a waste of time if we move to a bigger ground Stef, or made Goodison bigger, as we wouldn't fill it. We hardly ever fill it now, so we would have no chance of filling a bigger ground.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike ...a new ground would give us a much better chance of being taken over with better corporate lounges and sponsorship .You imagine if Everton were playing in the champions league year in year out the money we could get from that alone would be massive .Evertonians from far and wide would be travelling to watch the matches .Mike a new ground is the way forward i love Goodison park but the old lady has seen her day we need to move on or redevelop her personally i would prefer to redevelop her but either way something has to be done.Stef the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact that a large number of seats are limited viewing might have something to do with not filling our stadium. Much as I love watching our beloved team I refuse to pay £30 to listen to the crowd and look at a pillar or the top of the overhanging 2nd tier!! Improve the ground and people will fill it

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Oct 2012 12:21:14
We would fill a bigger ground if prices were reduced

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought our issue was that Goodison doesn't have enough corporate boxes!?
King Chong

Agree0 Disagree0

We could fill a bigger ground for starters we need more corporate facility's ,every ground with corporates seemed to b full .secondly I know loads of people who decide to go last minute but only get offered obstructed views . A new stadium would bring back fans .the most important thing is havin a good team on the pitch we would fi
ll the stadium ie saints game over 38 thousand ther

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I do agree that we need to move ground as Goodison is, with due respect, a dump. However, I can't see us moving for a couple of reasons. We can't afford it unless we are taken over, but I doubt anyone would take us over without a new stadium, so it is a catch 22 situation. And I honestly don't think we could fill a 50,000 stadium.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

A redeveloped Stamford bridge attracted bigger crowds and a new (loaded with money) owner...

Why should we be any different ?

Evertonyn.

Agree0 Disagree0

A new stadium will bring xtra support. Look at new stadiums around the country but more importantly our corporate capacity is rubbish and severely hinders our match day revenue. It's not just extra seats that will increase our revenue but more corporate option are crucial too.

Toffee ace

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea are in London, so they would appeal to investors more than us. And we are in a city with only 2 teams, and the problem is that Liverpool are seen as the bigger, better team in world football. So it isn't the same situation.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike, are you an Evertonian or are you some some sort of red shte coming here to plant seeds of negativity and other such nonsense ??

The Chavs have more competition in London than we could ever imagine here on merseyside...the catchment area of Lfc and Everton locally, stretches beyond the City limits into Lancs. and also the Wirral and North Wales, so your dismissive post is either an honest mistake or you are just a another lying redshte imposter.

DeepblueT

Agree0 Disagree0

I haven't got a clue what you are rambling on about Deepblue, all I said was Chelsea being in London is a more glamorous option for someone than buying us. What is the problem with that?

Mike {Ed025's Note - nothing mike...but because of your previous negative posts, people are wary as to your affiliation..

Agree0 Disagree0

I will try and explain again what I'm on about for people like Deepblue.

We need a new stadium as Goodison is a dump. We can't afford a new stadium as we are skint. We therefore would need new owners. New owners are not going to take over without having a new stadium. Therefore we need a new stadium before we get new owners. But we can't afford a new stadium etc etc.

Mike

Well now that the Rs are to redevelop Anfield I guess that's the football quarter out the window. Lets be honest it was only a pipe dream.
I’m afraid to say that once Anfield is redeveloped then it will make Goodison look like a bike shed.
It really saddens me to say but we really are going to be left behind, and to think we could have already been in a world class stadium at Kings Dock
