if we are not going to play heitinga billy and the argie striker why dont or why didnt we get rid of in the summer surely this will create funds and free money for wages to have them on the bench or not even in the squad is madness.heitinga is no donkey he played in a world cup final billy has got it but lacks confidence maybe a run in the team might help, any thoughts

Believable4 Unbelievable0

You don't just sell everyone who isn't in the first choice eleven! It's a squad game!

please shut up about us fighting relegation were less than 10 games in so shut up and get behind the team!!

Believable3 Unbelievable4

3 defeats in a row must worry you . i dont think your relegation team but injuries and suspensions could push you there , you must be concerned

Agree4 Disagree1

Concerned about getting beat to City and Chelsea away and losing a derby were we was the better side till the ref sent Rodwell off in the 20th minute ?
Not concerned, how many other teams are going to beat City and Chelsea at there ground ? They beat a unbeaten Villa yesturday 4-1 !!
End of the day everton will be in the top 7 at the end of the season.

Agree4 Disagree2

If those 3 games were against Swansea, Stoke and Wolves I'd be worried but City, Liverpool and Chelsea? I think we would have done extremely well to get anything from those 3. It's just unlucky that those games were grouped together and so close to the start of the season. It's going to be a dissapointing season but we'll be alright in the end.

Agree0 Disagree3

Fair play to you lads , always see the silver lining , no pts from 9 regardless of who and where you play must worry you , add into the mix you have no money to buy at jan window its not looking good , the upside is moyes is a great manager and will steer you away from trouble .

Moyes needs to make a few changes the current system is not working! Drop jags, coleman, saha, cahill and osman bring in heitenga, drenthe, vellious, bily and gueye

Howard
Hibbert heitenga distin baines
Gueye felli rodders drenthe
Bily
Vellious

We have to try something else, cahill and saha combination is not bringing goals, vellious either looks like scoring or scores everytime he plays so he should start, bily could be our creative player and he is not afraid to shoot from distance, drenthe also looks good when he comes on he is quick and direct similar to coleman but with skill, gueye is also quick and skillfull both of them will cause any team problems, everybody will have different ideas bout who should play where but i think we all agree that moyes needs to change a few things!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Even if Moyes changed something and we got beat i wouldn't care because at least he would actually of changed !
He's way too loyal to certain player's IMO.
As a manager you can't be mates with the players and play them because you like them

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you mean drop Jags? when Arsenal were prepared to pay lots of money for him in the summer, you lot said he was the best centre half around and was worth £30m and was the future of Englsh football, oh how fickle, looks like we dodged a bullet there!

Agree1 Disagree0

Says a lot about the quality of our players seeing as our forum seems to attract a lot of strange people from 'vulture' clubs... In this case, an Arsenal fan. The only thing thats been dodged is Arsenal's place in the Champs League next year... And RVP's new contract... And Arsenal fans not accepting their pathetic decline. Nice Spurs and Utd results... As for Jags, the person Gooner has a point. Blue fans appear to be getting fickle. Don't start slagging off all our players because we have lost some games v high performing sides. We have no money and our fans have lost their voices at Goodison Park, which in my opinion, is a load of f****** B*******. Turn the volume up ladz, and get behind the team. We are close to getting like Arsenal with their fans' quiet, pin drop, apprensive way of watching their games. Watched Newcastle game today, their fans made me feel envious... Lets get it back. COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

Im saying drop jags as his perfotmances have been well below par! Dont see how dropping a player who himself says he is not happy with his performances is being fickle! Thats football! Your not doing your job you miss out and give someone else a go! We have a quality replacment in jonny, they need to know that even with a small squad if you dont perform you will be replaced, which in turn will up everyones game! Im not saying sell him! Just stick him on the bench for a bit! Same with coleman, osman, cahill and saha, they are not playing well so start with drenthe and velious as they are playing well and give the likes of bily and gueye a chance! Anybody can be dropped! It will make them play better when called upon again!

Agree2 Disagree0

I strongly agree, Jagielka is a top quality defender but he is simply not doing his job. He along with other players (Cahill,Saha) need to realise if you don't perform on the pitch there are consequences. Drenthe and Vellios have done more than enough to prove they are due a place in the starting 11 and Bilyaletdinov needs to be given a chance in his preferred position. Can you believe in the years he has played for Everton he has not played 1 game in CAM? No wonder the lad can't settle.

Everyone does have to remember that we have lost against 3 teams that have spent over 100 million in the last 12 months while we have spent 1.3 million !
How are you supposed to compete against that ??
It's the way of the world im afraid lads, football is no longer a sport, more of a product and a buisness.
I hate the term "big" club. No-one was calling Man City or Tottenham a "big" club a couple of years ago, now they spend big there all of a sudden to the experts and pundits "big" clubs !?
If Wigan got a billionaire russian and spent 200 million on top players would they also all of a sudden be a "big" club ?
Its basically judged on being a "big" club by the amount of money you have ! So people who say "wouldn't it be interesting to see how Moyes would do at a big club"?
He is already at a big club, a real club, a genuine club with a big fan base, were just lacking investment.
We can't match them teams in terms of quality or players, all we can do is compete when playing them.
We did compete against Man City and made them look average for 70 minutes, the derby was ruined by a red card but against chelsea we were poor.
Lets just get this month out the way and then from November to January we have games that we should go on a run of good results
If we don't do well from November onwards then fair enough we have every right to have a go at the manager and his tactics and the players, right now though we can't really complain or judge the player's or management because we simply can't compete with these clubs who can go out and buy players for 40 million !!
Harsh reality lads, just some fans have to be realistic and accept it, we have to just keep being evertonians and get behind the lads, i have only missed one game this season so i can have a opinion on the atmosphere, and apart from the the Villa game the fans have been too quiet and got on the players back the minute one thing goes wrong.
Whats wrong with us ? Were not them lot across the park, we are everton.
Lets get on with it, wright this month off and see what happens from november.
Can't get to the fulham game due to work but il be there against Chelsea in the cup and the mancs on saturday !! COYB !!!!!!!!!!!
Drenthe and Gueye on the both wings needs to happen to give us creativity and pace, hope it happens soon !

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I think when the pundits say "big club" they mean a club that is expected to be competing for the big honours. Spurs getting so far in Europe made them a big club and the abundance of top class players at Citeh makes them a big club. If Wigan spent £200million on world class players then yes, they would be a big club too.

Oh, Gueye and Drenthe both play on the left, I don't see the point in playing them out of position.

Agree0 Disagree3

Actually mate, Gueye and Drenthe can play on both wings, every time Gueye has come on he has played on the right, just because there left footed does not mean they can't play on the right, there professional footballers im sure they can play on either wing !
I agree with the first post, the atmosphere has been so subdued, the game yesturday was worse than poor though it was dreadful.
Agree with the creativity and pace subject Gueye or Barkley on the right and Drenthe left.
We have to try something

Agree3 Disagree0

I've seen Drenthe play for 4 different clubs now and never seen ANYTHING to suggest he can/should play on the right! Of course he COULD do it, I'm sure that Saha COULD play at left back (he's a professional footballer after all) but that doesn't make it a good idea.

Agree0 Disagree1

Mate, totally agree about the lack of Goodison noise. Ive been a season ticket holder for nearly 10 years, since I was 18 and have never known it so quiet and ive missed only 7 games in that whole time. The fans always seem to be nervous, its like they don't want to be there and watch the game but being a blue they have to! And so they sit there in nervous apprehension and when the first thing goes wrong, bang, they get angry. There is very little chanting and the noise level never reaches what it used to, even when we are going well... People, please get behind the team. I wish we could have decibel readings for each stand, and compare them during the game on the big screen, this would promote people to make some dam noise! I aint saying scream filthy language and abuse the opposition, im talking about the traditional 'blue roar' that we are so renowned for, where the old stadium literally shakes.... People, get behind our club and make some noise. I cant say it enough, without us, the players aint as good, thats the way footy is... So lets get on with it and back the boyz, whoever is on the pitch. Even if we don't agree, we can change the way the players play. If we are defensive, then lets lift the dam roof off and make em go attacking. Adrenaline kicking in and all that. As fans, thats all we can do. Those who s**t all over our team on the day really get on my nerves. I aint saying dont point stuff out they did wrong, and im certianly not saying stop the groaning over a stupid pass, but you can hear a pin drop ladz. Have we lost the fight? Coz at the moment, we are well in the bottom half of the Prem now for Ground atmosphere... so sort it out FFS. Once more, ladz, GET BEHIND THE TEAM AT GOODISON... COYB.
Layla Blue {Ed001's Note - to be fair I think this is a problem all over the country, fans just don't seem to make the noise they once did. A lot is because people are separated from their mates, unlike when it was standing, but I think it is mostly because so many people are priced out of the game.}

Ive seen drenthe play on the right a few times for madrid, so shh

Its about time moyes changed his tactics and stop being so negative! Best form of defence is to attack! We have good attacking players in drenthe, vellious, cahill, gueye, barkley etc. So why not use them! Moyes is beginning to get on my nerves with his negative attititude he might aswell go if he is not going to play to win!

What do you guys actually think of Osman ? I think he has good ball control but no strength a bit of a liability on the pitch Chelsea's Second Goal Anyone?

What is the point in signing two players on loan and not giving them a chance to start games. Everton are on the decline because of David Moyes's tactics.
He wont play a 4-4-2 line up. Everton are facing Religation this season. Time for a change of Manager, Owner . Bring back Joe Royle.

Why does moyes insist on playing Leon osman out of position? He has no pace and no left foot. If drenthe doesn't start against fulham I will be very unhappy. Defensively we are not playing well either I would bring Neville back in and heitinga for jags. Howard, Neville, heitinga, distin, baines, drenthe, felliani, Rodwell, Barkley, Cahill, vellios to start against fulham.

Drenthe - can we start with him against fulham? Please moyes??

Believable5 Unbelievable0

And Vellios !?? Please Moyes. What has he got to do to get a chance !

What's with all the negative comments lads. Lets not forget we have just played Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea a tough run for any team. Yes the results haven't gone our way, but those three have spent millions upon millions and how can we compete with that. keep the faith and our day will come! Moyes will sort the lads out and the next thing you know we'll have a run of three wins. It's a funny old game.

I have not & never will criticise David Moyes as I think he has performed virtual miracles, certainly for the last few years anyway. But he is wrong to stay faithful to Saha & after today I thought Saha was a discrace to the jersey. He stated 2 weeks ago that he was the best striker, but he is finished now.Velios should be given a run in the side and so should Drenthe. drop young Coleman to the bench & use him as an impact player & move Osman to the right flank. Fellaini is no longer interested in playing for Everton but wont ask for a transfer...cos he would lose his financial cut. Neville or Heitinga should have been brought on earlier in Fellaini's place today at Chelsea. Sell Fellaini in January! Moyes & the players keep on speaking of the fantastic team spirit at Everton. But if things dont improve on all fronts at our Club, then we will need much more than spirit as I now genuinely fear relegation this season as we try to just keep the Bank happy.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I totally agree with you about Saha, what a waste of space! Tim C ran around a lot but nothing came of it. We lost all imagination when we reached the final third. I would disagree a little about Fellaini, I thought he made a few good touches. Rodwell on the other hand was rubbish. I can't remember him making a forward pass!
The biggest disappointment for me though was Bainsey, & he is my favourite player! He was at fault for the first goal & nothing he did seemed to come off - let's hope it was just a rare off day for the lad.
I always try to remain optimistic on these pages, but that performance, (or lack of it!) tested my patience to the hilt.
