Seen a couple of links with Bruno Martins indi. Cb who can play lb, decent season with stoke and has played under rk before. Could be a decent but if true. Anything you are aware of ed?

Apparently we are close to signing a kid called Gibson from Newcastle. Very highly rated cb. Another solid buy for the future if true.

{Ed025's Note - i think he will end up at palace cropper but im not ruling us out just yet mate, gibson is very highly thought of and i expect us to complete that one very shortly..

16 Jul 2017 22:53:42
Looks like if our younger players stay together and keep progressing, we could be in for a very exciting future. That's ignoring everything else going on in club. Can't think of many other more exciting clubs at the minute.

Two left sided Dutch cbs Martins Indi and Riedewald we enter the party late on both and both are linked with moves to Palace 🤔.

If the Club's are arguing over a fee for Gylfi do not be surprised if we sign another defender and let Ashley Williams return to Wales as part of the deal.
The fee can be manipulated, Swansea fans are happy and we secure Gylfi.

So Walcott or Gyfil blue boys, or Giroud, barkley stay or go, my head for one is in a spin and nothing is certain but great time my blue nose friends COYB.

I would go for Siggerson, Arnoutactic whatever his name is from Stoke, that's if we are going for a big centre forward, if not then Siggerson and Hernandez who has already linked up well with Rooney at Utd.

Look I'm not the remotest bit arsed how much anyone is or not worth. Who gives a toss. Sick of hearing he's not worth this he's not worth that what's it got to do with anyone apart from the powers that be at Everton fc. If Koeman wants you take it as a complimen, t from the one of the best and a world record holder in football history. Simple as. We're going places and i,d advise anyone to come on in and enjoy the ride.

I think it's impossible to not judge a players worth on the transfer fee. Everything in life that is bought is judged on how much it costs so even if it's not you who is spending the money I think it's still hard not to have an opinion

If a striker cost 50 mill and scored 5 goals compared to a 2mill striker who also scored 5 goals would you not think one was better value for money?

I have to agree with ed 002 er lukaku scored so many goals for us an give us some great time at goodisoon plus he spent 4 season at r club me for one will. Ot be booing him on his return to goodisoon plus the media made so many stories up u don't no what to belive at the end of the day we had 4 years to get in champ league with one of the best strikers i have seen at r club in my time as a fan obv there gona want better things example champ football league titles. He is only young an he is at is peak i hope he does well at united a lot of fans are quick to turn on players but we all let rooney back with open arm ;)

Callum, your right. he gave 4 good years, but he got 4 good years of support. let's not forget that. I hope he does well, and certainly won't boo. but I hope he learns a little more humility. personally is his agent I cannot stand.

He wanted to leave Everton as soon as he got here! Always looking for the next move, and only ever performed for half a season. I'm glad he's gone and believe we'll be stronger because of it. Everything we did had to go through him. He's 6'4" and can't head a drilled ball, everything had to be floated and couldn't head anything from the left wing making the best crosser of a ball in the Prem ineffective.
Bye bye Lukaku let's see how quick the fickle United fans turn on you.

16 Jul 2017 21:26:54
All we heard ever time there was an international break "I want to leave, I want champions league football" respect has to be earned.

I just wanna add rightly or wrongly I am saddened he's gone. I honestly thought he would stay for at least one season. What with all the fantastic signings. If he can score 25 with the team we had feeding him. Just think what he could of been scoring. We'd be chanting "feed the Luk and he will score"
I understand a player wanting to play for the best team. 8 Seasons ago I'd say "ok" join Utd but they are only on the rise like we are. I get the feeling Mourinho only wants him to piss Chelsea off and to show that what ever he says goes.

Ross Barkley is just a tit. Speaking to my Tottenham mate he says their top striker Kane is on £90,000 and Barkley would just be a squad player for the league cup. He said they'd probably equal Kane but doing that is only going to increase their wage bill twofold because no one will accept a squad player on more than them. He said he really can't see this deal Barkley to Tottenham happening. Snow flakes chance.

Walcott all day for me.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

16 Jul 2017 12:07:43
Just a thought, but why don't we convince Ross to stay, forget Sig and spend the dough on Van the man. Not only would that strengthen our defence, it would send those over the road on meltdown. 😀.

We could parade him around the city in an open top bus.
Better than a trophy.

Get Ross gone I say. Never going to fulfill his potential. Might sound harsh but I'd take anything north of £15 mil for him. RK clearly doesn't rate him as a professional.

Morning all
Can somebody explain why is it that when we buy a player the figure quoted is the full figure including add ond i.e Pickford was £22 million and 30 with the add ond and it is always the 30 that is quoted but when we sell Lukaku it is the 75 million that's quoted i.e without the add ons?
Ta.

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know ginger..

16 Jul 2017 08:58:23
Nice point the ginger. I noticed that but honestly didn't think much of it. But you're right.

Agree1 Disagree1

16 Jul 2017 09:07:43
Its because the media don't want to upset the buddies by highlighting the fact that they are potentially paying £90M for a fella with a first touch that so poor his second touch is a throw in add to that he is about as good in the air as a midget playing basketball, also I feel its because Pickford is English and the media like to hype up our own players and set them up for a fall.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - I think it is embarrassing that some fans have turned on an ex-player - certainly will be embarrassing for the club.}

16 Jul 2017 10:38:29
ed02 can't really turn on a player who we didn't really like in the first place and unfortunately Lukaku has the first touch of a 10 year old and his hold up play is bettered by a 5 year old but boy can he score goals and in the modern game you need more than goals to your game he will be under a massive microscope at UTD much more than he was at us and if he has 2 bad games he will be dropped also I can understand why lots of fans including myself hope he fails for the total disrespect he showed our club by constantly talking about moving while on international duty but hey he has gone we move forward and I for one won't be wasting any more time talking about him so ED how's our sharkpod coming along or isn't it worth doing now as we have done most of our business.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - You might want to go back and read some of the posts from when he was scoring goals for Everton.}

16 Jul 2017 11:17:58
Ed, I have always been critical of these elements of his game and not just because he is not an Everton player any longer.
I wish him well in pursuit of the top platform he thrives and feels he deserves and credit were credits due he is a very good goalscorer, but that is it.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2017 12:38:18
I will always speak highly of Lukaku. It is embarrassing. especially as he is still getting digged out after he has gone. Sad. Some make the point of his goals last season, even trying to claim that they were not needed or welcome. Only because the teams below us were inept at closing the gap to us in the last 10 games (everyone, us included on holiday) i'm not sure anyone at the club would be happy if his goals were taken away. Madness.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i enjoyed his time with us 76, im looking for sandro now to take up the mantle and be our new focal point getting us even more goals mate..

16 Jul 2017 12:58:08
My God, Everton fans were known for their class, but most of you guys seem to have lost it, . Your transfer window has been good but you guys are way ahead of yourselves if you think you have replaced lukaku, still need a proven striker like giroud.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we will get another but sandro could be the one everybody is jealous of next season..

16 Jul 2017 13:36:19
rom has been a good signing for us and I whish him well but to be fair I did have a little chuckle at bluegrays post but didn't think it was out of order or ment to be, could be wrong though.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2017 13:58:37
Exactly Ed025. The future is bright, let's not waste it by moaning about the past. Sandro is going to be a revelation and then it will be Lukakwho? (i'll get my coat)

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2017 14:07:42
Banter sa90 and no malice was meant by my post, we were always a stepping stone for him and that's a reality, other than goals he doesn't bring much else to the field and I feel we will be better this coming season by not relying on him and actually have a forward who can trap a ball, play with his back to goal, and win headers and all for a small fee compared to what we got off United for Lukaku.
I don't ever have a go at players past or present in malice and if any readers feel I did then I apologise, to my fellow Evertonians and Ed002 but I draw the line at apologising to trolls on our banter site.

I get the feeling Rooney is so much happier being at Everton, and personally I think there is a hidden agenda to shove it up Mourinho so hard. There is a steely resolve and if Everton even won a league cup with Rooney in it, it would mean more than Premier League Titles, European Titles and Fa Cup titles he won with Man U. I'm just so rapt we have got him back!
