Everton needs a huge over haul in the summer. Need to get rid of quite a bit of dead wood. Out Mucha 2m not good enough. Billy 6m useless in this league. Fellaini we paid far to much for him if we could get anywhere near 15m-20m would pack his suit cases my self. Cahill 2m gone stale and needs to go. Saha free past his best. Neville free to old, Distin free another thats to old and we need to build for the future. Send back Denis. Release McFadden. Bring In Holtby 6m L,DeJong 12m Loukaku loan M.Fernandes 6m and Onuaha 2m. Give more game time to Duffy, Barkley, Gueye, Garbutt and Vellios. Then maybe around Jan 2013 check progress of Green and bring him in around the first team squad.

Squad to start 2012/2013 season,

GKs: Howard, Hahnemann,and another.
Defs : Coleman,Hibbert,Onuaha,Jags (Capt),Heitinga, Duffy, Baines and Garbutt.
Mids: Rodwell,Osman,Gibson,Fernandes,Drenthe,Holtby, Barkley and Gueye.
Striks: L.DeJong, R.Loukaku, Anichebi, and Vellios.

Without investment something like this is the only way to go. Its ok to dream. Good young squad. What do you think Ed and fellow blues? {Ed025's Note - a bit too radical for me mate..i love to see young players coming through, but there has to be a balance...just throwing out all the older players will not work, ..

Cuckoo cuckoo

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you drunk aswell as stupid distin is old but had a far better two seasons than jags an he can keep up with the fiittest in the prem still another season at least u talk rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you mad? Weve got to build around Fellaini, not get rid and Distin is absolute quality. Cahill should be used as an impact substitute,he has been very loyal to this club if a good offer comes in then yes sell but dont just throw him out. Wouldnt mind Neville and Saha leaving though.
Toffeeboy {Ed025's Note - that works for me toffo..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does everyone on here keep quoting £6m for Billy ? Get real!

Just a bit of a rant but why cant we play like swansea cos at the minute i am sick to death of our boring negative football and so are others as gates are getting lower. I believe the manager and players have no motivation as the board are not providing the funds for players and talk crap all the time. Where have the 3 or 4 buyers gone that BK was talking about just before xmas. Whats your thoughts on the situation of our great club.
Cheeks {Ed025's Note - i would love us to play like swansea cheeks... pass and move is the future..

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Ed pass and move is also the past it's not new it's just basics

Al blue {Ed025's Note - true al...but the pass and stand still that we have been playing..has got to go..

not a rumour just a thought! bin watchin this kid on youtube michael uchebo plays for vvv, he had a trail for stoke but didnt pass! he would cost around 1million cos he contract runs out tin the summer! he's 6ft 8, hes stronger aswell. he reminds me of peter crouch good on the floor.. whaat ya think ed?? {Ed025's Note - i dont know much about him mate, so really cant comment..

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Had a quick look on youtube (I know it's not exactly the best way of observing players) and i'm pleasantly surprised by this geeza. Although his rediculous height (6ft 8.5) would give the impression he is slow and lacks balance, skill and agility I can't believe how mobile and skillful he actually is. I understand this is just a fans opinion so it's not exactly realistic but for a £1million evaluation this type of transfer would be worth a punt, he is certainly a 'target man' we would put to good use.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said Evertonians aren't smart ? Where has this fella been,is he the answer to all our problems ? {Ed025's Note - you can catch him on dragons den next week ;0)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm working nights reading this drivvle. On a bitter note...for a change...why do them red fxckers have to go after every player we're interested in, after we've made the first move? Have they not got a scouting system? Wxnkers. Rant over...going home to beddy byes soon. (Wavertree Blue)

Did anyone watch the Swans v Arsenal match yesterday, great attacking football from the swams constantly, even when they where 3-2 up with four minutes to go they where still attacking, great to watch, how their manager gets average players to play like that I don't know, Moyesie take note fella.

Put in a cheeky bid for Nathan Dyer as he scared the hell out of the Arsenal players, reminded me of Aaron lennon, also Sinclair on the wing, get the wallet out Directors, only loose change to you guys.

I'm still a Moyes fan but if ever he was to go Brendan Rogers get your ass in your car and shoot up the M5 motorway.

Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - great shout degsy...i was thinking that myself, he, like us has not had much money to spend, but their quality of football is superb, pass and move is the only way forward..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ok guys lets not carried away they were brilliant, and have been great all season as possession stats show.
But let's wait till end of season I don't think he would be in line for big club yet as we our one and although no money we still expect top 8 every year so Brendon Rogers needs to keep them up which I am sure he will and improve on that establish them in that league for couple of seasons as I think he will turn into a great manager

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to Swansea that was great for a team that didn't cost much to put together! Also have they not agreed to by Donnelly aswell ? If so very shrewd!

Agree0 Disagree0

True Swansea are nice to watch and play some decent football at times bt you could say the same about Blackpool last year and look where they ended up!! If Swansea finish above us come the end of the year then you can talk...

Agree0 Disagree0

Not only do they play great football, but defensively, Rodgers plays a very disciplined back line. Just look at their home record conceded 6 goals at home all season.

And the record against the "Big boys" is very good, unlucky to lose to United, actually outplayed spurs in a draw and beat Arsenal.

Very impressive indeed, would be my number choice if Moyes left, the question is, would he want to come to us?

Yakubu was sent off at the weekend (his first red card in 9 years) he will miss the everton game! So ateast he wont be rubbing salt into our wounds by bagging a hattrick against us!
The villa game saw a slight improvment! We were a little bit more creactive thanks to donovan, gibson did ok! He played a beautiful ball over the top to cahill! A confident tim would of scored that! Gibson was only signed on thursday/friday so he had very little time with the team before being thrown in! He will be better after a full weeks training i think!
Drenthe loses the ball to much but with training and chats with the manager that will improve what he offers going forward cant be taught he is quick, confident and eger to impress! I would play him off the striker and let him run at center backs he will either go past them and be in one on one with the keeer, get fouled or lose it! Either way he will worry any defence and create us alot more chances!
Saha had a perfect chance to score at the weekend from a donovan cross, he totaly missed his header! It looked like he was pulled back but he didnt complain so what happened there?
Anyway 3 points is a must against blackburn and hopefuly moyes will pick the same team! {Ed025's Note - even thogh gibbo was not great...the difference a new face makes to a side is clear for all to see..thats why a fresh face is always needed..even if they are not world beaters..

How good does Fellaini look these days? IF we get a serious offer for Rodders, let him go. Injuries and not consistent. Fellaini should be the man we build around. Even in a poor Everton team he looks class. Time on the ball and commanding in the middle. Reminds me of Vieira (alright not quite but he's getting there.) The last two games we have played better. No coincidence that he was there in the middle for both. Still only young and SURELY looking a bargain at £15m {Ed025's Note - he is good..but needs other good players around him, his lack of pace worries me, but there is no doubt he is a quality holding midfielder..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Have to disagree mate - I'm starting to think Fellaini is our main problem - he's just waaaay tooo slow - and he's never were you want him - always 10 yards away from the action - and just jogs slowly around the place - he also encourages the team to play hoofing football - like we did when we built the team around duncan ferguson

and I'm personally I wont forgive Fellaini for calling everton 'sub top'
In my opinion he's sub-sub-top - and he was lucky we wanted him - no champions league team is gonna build their midfield around that guy - with him lumbering around the place - you need mobile quick guys with good brains and quick feet - with a decent shot on them - but he was going to walk out on us if he'd had any better offers in the pipeline - it was only because his phone didnt ring that he signed for us again

I think we should sel him and get someone in centre midfield who can pass the ball forwards intelligently - I would love another Graveson - but where do we get one from?

(Graveson leaving was the difference between us breaking into the champs league bracket or not - shame for us both that he left)

Agree0 Disagree0

Felliani is a great holdin midfielder I e man city last year u need creativity around him weve sold rs {Ed025's Note - in midfield, you need pace, and guile...rodders and felli are very similar players..holding midfielders, unfortunately both of them have neither..

Agree0 Disagree0

Every team needs a holdin midfielder one of the most important positions on pitch .felliani is great holdin midfielder .we lack creativity Rodwell is a center half pienaar wud make a big difference to everton

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant say felliani has no creativity :O he did that wonder turn round craig bellamy :P haha it was beautiful, he can pass a ball and is strong, i would keep him and sell rodders for 20 mill and then play fellaini and gibson in the centre of midfield :) what ya think ed? {Ed025's Note - that would work for me..

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini is a class defensive mids, he has dominated games in the past (City and Spurs at home last season rings a bell) and is continuing to improve, much better than Rodwell as a defensive mid, and if I had to choose between the two it would be Fellaini. Although, think Rodwell would make a class CB, and is still a very good midifielder. {Ed025's Note - i agree with most of that..

I see inter have bid £20m for tevez, swap rodwell for tevez what do u think?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Tevez is on over £200k per week you mupet, can't see it somehow..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you want a player that would take up over 100k per week, who is a moaning, crying baby, NO THANK YOU

Agree0 Disagree0

Err - I dont imagine awkward and hard to please mr tevez can really see himself running out to Z cars - do you? {Ed025's Note - absolutely not!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Tevez would never accept less than 120,000 wages! We couldnt afford that! He would be just what we need though! But no chance of it ever happening unfortunately :-(

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a thought no need to be abusive by calling a fellow blue a muppet, so we won't pay the wages but others seem to think we cann afford defoe Torres wages etc {Ed025's Note - its all pie in the sky mate..dont take comments too seriously..

Ed chances of getting these guys on permenants please
Donovan
Kalou
Drenthe
Onuoha {Ed025's Note - i think drenthe is the only one mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

My dream summer SIGN DRENTHE ON A PERMANENT DEAL!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing drenthe, im really unsure, the amount of time he gives the ball away or makes a mistake is very noticable in every game, he is great going forward yes, but the way we play with bains overlapping we need someone who is switched on ready to cover the gap at the back and drenthe doesnt do that

Agree0 Disagree0

He is much better when he plays on the right and cuts in, and then he normally has hibbo behind him as hibbo doesn't overlap as much

Agree0 Disagree0

Drenthe has 2 goals and 7 assists this season, and he has only played about 12/13 games, with the majority coming off the bench, that is an excellent return.

He is an ATTACKING player, he will tend to give the ball every once in a while, but you have to expect that because he wants to create something.

As for his defensive side, he showed he can track back against Villa, in fact stopped a goal against Villa.

It is a no brainer from my point of view, we desperately lack creativity in our side, and Drenthe provides some of the creativity we need, and he is only 24 and he will be for FREE!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Total drenthe fan, gives us something no one else has, and hes like a durecell bunnie just keeps going, improvement needed, yes, but only young....byn
