Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

15 May 2012 23:24:30
seen on the news before that everton earned 48 million from tv money this season, just 12 million lower than the highest earners, man city, let hop we can see some of that dosh

Believable2 Unbelievable1

We have lost 50 million over the season though, the lose has lowered by 4 million whitch is grate though so hopefully we should see enough money to atleast buy pienaar!
Toffeepidge

Agree0 Disagree0

That money barely covers wages and running costs, you don't just get 48 million to put in to transfers.

Im i the only one worried about the age of player we are being linked with pienaar 30, donovan 30,
dempsey nearly 30. All super players but personally i dont think we shoukd be stocking up on 30+ players.
Already we have howard, hibbo, ossie, cahill, distin, neville. Jags and jonny also not far off 30.
Just think we need youth. {Ed025's Note - 30 is not that old mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

This day in age mate, fit players can be at their peak 30-33

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be worried, but Pienaar and Dempsey don't really rely on pace to be successful, and I think can cope with the PL for at least the next 3yrs, Donovan is a good footballer and has pace, and hopefully years in the MLS would mean less stress on his body and he can play for longer if need be.

Besides, I think a short term fix is what is needed, I mean we have Barkley (who can go now) and Green who should become a presence in the first XI in about 3yrs time, so they can learn off some very good players, and be ready for when they leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think getting 30yr olds is what we need, we have tons of talent coming up, and veterans who have great experience can guide them in their transition to the first team {Ed025's Note - good point that mate..

15 May 2012 23:11:05
Not so much as a rumour...but surely we've got to sell Yobo now.

He's been at Fenerbahce for too long now, last season i think they won the league and this they came 2nd with him at the heart of their defence....

At 31 his value is only going to start dropping, i think
we should stop any future loans for him and sell him.

Thoughts?

Disco Dave {Ed025's Note - i think your right dave..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Bang On Dave, if they dont want to do business with us drag him back here and sell him in the EPL where there is money floating around.

if we have no cash then why arent we more ruthless with our assets. Yobo is worth decent money that could easily cover the Pienarr deal... COYB

I've heard a lot of everton rumours but personally I would settle for just peanuts and keeping hold of our best players. If Cahill plays well next season partnering jelavic we won't need to sign anyone else God is great. Peinarr is better. COYB!! {Ed025's Note - tim may not be with us mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

What do you mean Ed? {Ed025's Note - i heard he is going back home..

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think so Ed, Im from Australia, and they had a documentary sort of thing about Tim Cahill, which took place after the Liverpool defeat at Wembley, and he stated, the for now, he has no intentions of going home just yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2012 22:45:54
Someone on twitter has said Bayern Munich want Jelavic for Competition for Mario Gomez. Hes not going nowhere. He said his dream is premier league so why would he go there? {Ed025's Note - dismiss anything you hear on twitter...its a net curtain twitching medium..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Although I do believe, if Jelavic continues the way he has, we could lose him in the future because he does have a tendency to change clubs. But surely he wouldn't leave after 5 or so months, I imagine we would have him for at least next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelly man 30 m.Uli not negotiate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we'll have Jelavic next season whatever happens but if he has a great season next year I wouldn't be suprised if he moves on unless we manage to get in to Europe or find investment.

He's not a youngster and if a big team came in for him I imagine he'd want a move in the next couple of years.

Either way we'll get loads of goals or money for him.

Petric and rodallega both out of contact and both more than decent?? What you reckon ed? {Ed025's Note - they seem like the type of player we will go for...good and cheap..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

15 May 2012 22:34:09
This may be completely ridiculous but dont all press the dislike button:
Del Piero? He wants to come to the premier league and i cant see him going to this year's top 6, so maybe us? probably just a dream but hes not the sort who just goes for money so doesnt rule us out.
Cheers,

Pienaar

Just Pienaar. {Ed024's Note - He is certainly the best player on that list

Nothing i say is COMPLETE bulls**t ed thoughts?

Dalglish however, has a trophy therefore he's a better manager that Moyes." I simply reminded him of the league standings

J.D {Ed024's Note - Moyes is a much better manager than the queen

i know its great having three world class centre halves, but sooner or later one of those three will be unhappy with playing on the bench, i dont like the idea of any of them leaving but who are your first choice? jhonny and distin are mine i have to say although Distin may only have one or two seasons left in him, jags has 5 or 6. {Ed024's Note - Remember duffy who is a fine prospect as well

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Thats what squad football is all about look who chelsea, man sh**ty, Man Utd even the spuds have on their bench players have to go with it, any way rather our bench than anywhere else!........grbefc

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a strong squad if we are really going to go for it next season

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i think the squad needs a tweak or two to challenge bez...we have seen the lift you get when fresh faces come in, they dont have to be superstars, just good squad players who can fill in when we get injuries or suspensions..

Agree0 Disagree0

If anything I think Distin will be the one who will be happy to play less matches next season because he is the oldest of the three...

Everton absolutely dominated Newcastle, that first half was an exceptional show of football from the lads, the 2nd half died down, but the game was more or less over. Fellaini unplayable, heatinga superb, just brilliant from the boys. Great 2nd half of the season. PLEASE KENWRIGHT, GIVE US SOMETHING, ENOUGH FOR PIENAAR AT LEAST, I genuinely think the way the season has unfolded, if we had enough money for Pienaar we could challenge European places, we have shown we can compete with the top 6. COYB!!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

15 May 2012 19:33:33
I really am not bothered if we don't sign anyone in the summer apart from Pienaar. Wouldn't bother me as i think Moyes would just pick up a couple of loans or free's in area's we need cover for (right wing, striker)

IF we were to buy in the market it would be through a sale of a big player, Moyes doesn't sell cheap so (and i think it will happen) when teams come sniffing around Baines and Fellaini i honestly think they will be scared off by Moyes who will ask for AT LEAST 25 million each AT LEAST! If there not scared off and offer a daft amount then great 25-30 million losing one player Moyes will be able to get 3-4 players with that, he is that good in the transfer market and don't forget from 2013 there is no more crazy buying with the UEFA rules coming in so if someone is going to come in for our key players with a daft offer of 25-30 million this is the only summer it will happen.
Again though i will be happy with just Pienaar and whatever Moyes finds in the free market or loan market, perhaps Rodellaga who is free (i think?)

SteTheBlue {Ed024's Note - Signing pineaar will make the difference in my opinion, with him i can see us getting into europe

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We need a squad not just a good first 11 so yes we do need more players. {Ed025's Note -

Tim Howard has come out and said that he will be trying during the summer to convince Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan to both join Everton in the summer, and has promised to keep on their backs to try to help Moysey with bringing some new faces in .. who thinks we should go for del piero on a free? we was linked with him in jan wasn't we? good back up for jelavic an absolute Legend

Believable3 Unbelievable4

No! To old and the premier league would kill him at his age.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not for me. Don't get me wrong, Del Piero in his prime was a superstar. I've followed Serie A on TV since Channel 4 started showing it after Italia 90, & Juve were always the team I liked the most. However, even though Juve have been superb this season, that was due to players like Pirlo, (absolutely awesome this season), Chiellini, Lichsteiner & Pepe. Del Piero has only been a bit-part player. Even though he scored in the final match, he wasn't very good to be honest. We have to be looking more to the future & signing good, young players who Moysie can turn into our own superstars.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sure they will offer around 10mil for him despite being available on a free transfer. .

As for the lad, isn't really a priority, would be a terrific squad addition, but all attention and every single pound needs to go on getting Pienaar back as far as I am concerned. For me, sort the Pienaar business early, and then worry about the rest

Everton received £49.9 million from broadcasting and league finish this season surely we can afford to play in the transfer market with a third of this income!

Ant wharton

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Evertons total income (about 80mil), from whatever streams, is more or less matching its total outgoings - so you don't just get this income to do with as you like - it's already budgetted for to pay current wages and overheads etc

however - I do think Kenwright has a golden opportunity to take a gamble and spend say 15-20m million (dempsey/pienaar/donovan) to get us into the champs league - I don't think we'll ever get as good a chance as this aghain if he lets it go

if he spends the 15-20 he's got a good chance of recouping about 50m back from champs league etc
we're as good as the likes of tottenham now - we'd give anyone a good game now with this team - as we've been showing - apart from the semi hiccup (no wingers in that game)

come on bill get you mates to stump up that bit extra and everton could really fly!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate i dont agree with taking a gamble cause if we do not make the champions league were screwed the money for players has to come from other sources.Stef the blue

Why is everyone winging about Moyes needing big investment to buy all these rumoured players? Surely all we need to do is tie up the Pienaar deal and not sell anyone. Look at our season since january, we have an outstanding team that can make a serious challenge for a euro spot next season. Maybe its not exciting to not sign anyone but why take the risk of bringing in players who might disrupt our system and style of play.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

15 May 2012 14:33:02
Guys just thought is ask about wether you think moyes will be with us next season? Lot of lads doing my head in at work saying they heard and think he will be off if he doesnt get money to spend etc.can't help but get wound up and have a lil snarl back at em.lol

Westy the blue

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I don't see him leaving this season as there aren't any jobs available for him to take that is really a step up. I mean the only real job available right now is Aston Villa, and well, that is a poisoned chalice as far as I am concerned, and a step down currently from Everton.

Personally, I think he will hold out until Fergie leaves, and I think he has a decent chance at the job, Fergie will undoubtedly have a major say in his successor and well, the two are very good friends and it could happen. Wouldn't begrudge him for leaving, he deserves the chance to show just how good of a manager he is with money to spend.

He will be here next season, no doubt in my mind.

If we were offered for Bainesy, £20m plus a player on loan (i.e Chicarito) for the season, would we/could we turn it down? I just have this awful feeling that United are going to put in an offer.

Must must must must sign Peanuts

That aside we need a new right back. right winger and another striker to back up the Jellyman.

Would try and ship out, Big Vic, Seamus and Mucha to try and free up some cash. Some half decent players got relegated this season that we could pick up for next to nothing. Can't wait till next season already!

Alastair

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Nope, for me, Fellaini, Jelavic, Barkley, Heitinga and Baines are all untouchable, of course, unless a ridiculous, and by that I mean, to the extent of an Andy Carroll deal where it would be too hard not to turn down.

for me, Rodwell and Jagielka can go, if we are in need of money, I think both aren't in the best XI (I think Distin/Heitinga partnership is the best for the club) and both would command 10+mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope to god we don't sell Bainesee, Peanuts would be nowhere near as effective without him and how do you replace the best LB in the league, I know money talks but hopefully we get investment and give him a fat 5 year contract on the highest ever Blue salary, he would probably stay then as he loves the club

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree if we were offered daft money for Baines we would have to sell, but he is so important to us. Not sure about selling Jags, only because Distin is knocking on a bit. Maybe try Jags at right back next season as he isn't going to be happy on the bench. We are a few players away from pushing for top 4. I think Jelavic and Pienaar gave the rest of the players and fans such a boost in the second half of the season, that we'll start with a lot more confidence.

main player will be pienaar (£3mill-£4mill) that we go for but if we cant get him well sign dempsey(probably around the same price).. the rest of the signing will probably be frees id really like hoillet he can play on the right or in attack whitbread and diame will be signed for cover in defence/defensive mid

next season:
--------------howard-------------
coleman---jags----heitinga---baines
hoillet--rodwell--felli--gibson--pienaar/dempsey
---------------jelavic--------------

Pineaar will still be good well into his 30s, and even if he only gives us three great years that could be the difference between Europe three seasons in a row. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate...he is a must sign for me..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He really can play for a bit longer, I mean the lad doesn't rely on pace, which, as you get older, decreases, the lad depends on his football skills, something you cant lose, wouldn't surprise me to see him go until 34/35 really. Just seems to get better and better, he is playing the best football of his career.

Hi Fellow Blues,

Firstly Id just like to say what a great second half of the season from the players, Thought every game apart from the semi final we gave everything! Secondly, I'd just like to put out that there that i dont think we should go for dempsey! I think the money we would have to pay for him an the fact he is 29 should put us off...He's only goin to lose value and form from now! I'd personally go for Juniour Hoilett or even just try and mould Barkley into that role behind Jelavic. Would like to see Adam Johnson but unless he takes a massive wage cut I think we'll have no chance! Our first priority should be gettin the Moyesiah on a new contract...If it wasnt for hi we would be in a far worse state!!

Howard
Hibbert Jagielka Heitinga Baines
Donovan Gibson Fellaini Pienaar
Dempsey
Jelavic

Yes please! can't say its very likely but i'd love that. I can see us chasing one more defender at least if Distin doesnt stay and maybe Pranjic as well.

The only issue i have with buying those two players is that it leaves us needing to buy a the same sort of players in the next 2 or 3 years anyway due to their age but we do have some good academy prospects so lets hope they turn out alright!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Well, the biggest issue is mainly that pranjic is already off to China, so you can already forget about signing him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I dont want to be a takeover bid rumour kill joy BUT Moyes is not one to play games and the fact that he has clearly stated, in the most open way he can without sounding too desperate, that we need to trade to buy we can fairly sure that this summer will not see an injection of cash.
Moyes is trying his best to prepare the fans for what are the facts of life, you just have to listen to him carefully.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Apparently, some media guy from Everton, cant remember his name, something like Adam Clark or someone, said originally, Nike and Everton had agreed to wear the kit against Newcastle, but Nike pushed it back for some reason.

I don't know when they will release the kit, but the kit has been floating about on the internet in the last few weeks, it is blue with these white bands on the sleeve.
