Thought we showed some positive things today, Barry, Osman and Hibbert I feel struggled.
Lukaku is screaming out for support up top and barkley is still frustrating.
Overall I'm pleased mainly due to browning and galloway and mirallas looks more focused. We definitely need a striker and play maker as at the moment we have no cutting edge.

Everything same as last season as far as I can c nothing changed in the shape of team.McCarthy side to side nothing going forward like a lampard or Gerrard & usual ball fed into lukaku no other option up front easy to defend against.

Oh come on pre season game in 30c + heat of cse they are going to be rusty. Still 4 weeks to go until the real games start and besides was not all bad.

Everyone did okay, Jags was particularly good. Lukaku was offside a lot and Doofy Loofy made the wrong decisions, Clverley was terrible.

I thought we played better than we did in a lot of games mid season. Plenty of work obviously to do but we were much better than Stoke. Considering the temperature it was an ok performance.

It was a good run out. We played some good football at times and out of the two sides we were clearly the better of the two.
Still very rusty but a good run out. I'm just happy we've got matches to play in pre season this year!

Thought the Galloway and Browning looked promising. Jags and Peanuts stood out for me, all the rest looked okay. It will be interesting to see how we perform against the gooners.

Issue we have is the No10 role although conditions temp was hard Ossie outshone Barkley , thought second half changed improved us , cleverly looked involved and busy, as did deulifeuo who just overdid things to impress, jags outstanding and stones very composed .
Pienaar played well to and has control and guile Ross needs to learn from.

Would like to say from reading what we are all saying, after watching cleverly in recent friendly with Swindon. I know was low class opposition and hard to gauge it but only one pass I saw in 45 mins did not connect, also he played a lot more decent attacking passes compared to a lot of our players.just like Gibson did when he did last season and I know I will not have anyone agree with this post but one being injured all the time and them both being mancs doesn't make it so even when they do make a difference on odd occasion they should be slated let alone when not played competitive game

He might not be worlds number one, but no way is he as bad as some people make out. And like you say a fit player is always better than an injured one!
