My team for Blackburn if Coleman and Osman are back:
Howard.
Coleman. Hietinga. Duffy. Baines
Drenthe. Gibson. Fellani. Osman
Donovan
Anichebe
Blue kaz

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I still dont think Anichebe is ready to start, been out a long time, and looked spent after the match.

I would like to see Vellios given another go, I have no clue about what has happened to him, maybe ed knows?

As for Donovan behind the striker, think that is his best position, he can have a free role and float around pick the ball up in dangerous areas and did what he did against Villa/ {Ed025's Note - i agree with the donovan free role...on the vellios point, i happen to agree with moyes, i dont think he is ready yet, but the way saha is playing, he may be worth a go, because to be honest..he could not do any worse!..

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that Vellios probably isnt ready, but honestly, I would take him over Saha, at least Vellios would chase and harrass the defence, something Saha cant be arsed to do.

Right now, would like to see Vellios start and Anichebe coming off the bench, when Anichebe begins to pick up his fitness reverse the roles.

Just ANYTHING is better than Saha at the moment {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree agree agree agree, Saha is awful, can't even remember last time he played well, pretty sure it was before he signed the new fat contract.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to see vic start, with donavan and drenthe up the flanks, if fitness problem then bring on velios, be interesting to see his strength when balls flying in for him from the sides, maybe this is what he needs, maybe its worth a look, hes got 2 in 3 with similar play....byn

I thought Elstones response was garbage.
So what he was trying to say a club of Ev ertons stature spent in 7yrs 35mil net on players. Will Bill thats cr*p. Liverpool paid that for a waiter called Andy Carroll.
In that time we sold Lescott and Rooney
plus Bellefield and the new training facility.

We are being sold rubbish by the board I cant believe Elstone had the face to suggest that was a lot of money spent on players.

Everton I keep harping on is not being
correctly. Total mismanagement.

When is the penny going to drop.
When will someone turn around and say no more this once great club is a joke.
Why do we never have a plan B.

The Blue Don {Ed025's Note - all good points don..

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Agreed mate, it seems the board is content with being mediocre, but really Everton should be competing with the best. NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM FFS! Kenwright

Agree0 Disagree0

35 mil in seven years is still only 5 million per year! FFS we're a top'ish fight premiership team and we're spending only 5 million a year on players - not exactly impressive is it? {Ed025's Note - its not mate...and by the looks of it that figure will get even lower!..

I've noticed all the desperate rumours of a takeover have died down now we have spent 500k on a player.
As usual no word out of the club either.
Just keeping us informed would be nice.

I was impressed with Duffy yesterday and think at 20 could become a top EFC player. Saha worked hard too and will score next Saturday for sure!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Saha worked hard, what bloody game were you watchin, he's so lazy you get more energy if you put his jersey on the corner flag...!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you see Saha wander off side when Vic burst through for the goal? He was watching straight up the line and would've been flagged if the ball went to him. Lazy BlueTone

Agree0 Disagree0

Saha should've been screaming for the pen when Hutton dragged him back in the first half, it was nailed on, but he doesn't look arsed. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed025's Note - i was wondering the same thing wavo....

Ed u seem a so
und bloke im a blue FROM STOKE and get loads of crap off me mates can u tell me wat rumours u have heard mate that cud b true defie wud b great {Ed025's Note - i think we can dismiss defoe..we have apparently made enquiries about a number of players, but the club are playing their cards close to their chests, if i mentioned names, they would just be guesses, money is the big issue as always, and i dont think we have much in the kitty

Saw Woodgate struggling, again, at RB for Stoke on MOTD.Straight swap for Hibbert, solves their RB problem and our "Centre Half" problem ...Simple
Coleman or Neville at RB for us.

George

Believable0 Unbelievable7

Hibbert here until he retires, he is a true blue awlways reliable and loyal {Ed025's Note - certainly loyal..

Agree0 Disagree0

Not saying im not a Hibbert fan but players leave clubs in swaps ,Kendall and Styles for Latchford,Johnson for Belfitt,at the time "everybody"feels it will improve their team. All players leave clubs at sometimes obviously, freshens them up and freshens the teams up.Give us fans something to talk about, the world revolves and evolves {Ed025's Note - your right mate

If rodders goes who says we will get spend the money we get for him? Think we r better of getting rid of dead would I.e billy if any mug will buy him. Would also love to see the likes of ant, vellios, duffy, royston given a run in the team together what do we have to lose?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

In recent weeks everton football club has done nothing but depress me (as I'm sure all other evertonians would agree). After 20 years supporting everton I can't even imagine why someone with the finances would not want to buy our club, however that could just be me being biased!

Looking at how far moyes has bought the club is amazing especially with the lack of finances in recent seasons! I still think moyes is the manager to take us forward, after all if he weren't good at his job and he hadn't done a good job he wouldn't have been linked with the likes of utd or spurs. I don't agree with some comments On here from some 'fans' about moyes. When really everyone knows he just hasn't had the funds available to him!

I hope Darron Gibson turns out to be a bargain of a buy, after all 80% of the time moyes does get his transfers right (right moves in past being Cahill, lescott, pienaar or arteta for example - wrong moves being jo or Fernandez!)
Moyes keeps all transfer targets tight to his chest as we all know, but it has to be expected after recent season we have expressed an interest in a player and next thing you know the world and his dog are also interested!

I know this isn't a transfer rumour but I just wanted to get it off my chest, I can understand everyone gettin depressed about the situation but the club needs support. Not constant criticism!

Tru

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Tru, It's the negative style of play which is annoying a lot of fans and leading to calls for his head. FYI, Fernandes was an outstanding player for us (perhaps you didn't see him play?), as was Jo when he initially signed. Yes, Moyes has worked wonders on a limited budget, but for every Cahill there is a Bily and for every Lescott, there is a Kroldrup. Yes, he has made some very stute signings over the years but has also made some very costly errors. BlueTone

Agree0 Disagree0

You could say that about every manager in the league look at Ferguson for every Hernandez theres been a Kleberson!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for posting ed! I saw Fernandes play and personally I didn't think he was any good, definately not worth what his parent club valued him at. I completely agree with the negative style of play but what other options has moyes had? Saha is our only experienced striker, ok anichebe is now back but he was injured and although vellios straq etc are left on bench they obviously aren't in moyes eyes ready to play 90 mins in the prem!

First time all season I thought we played with a bit of purpose are passing was crisper and we should be getting ball to donavon and drenthe they are the sparks crying out for that threat needed in a striker Saha is not good enough anyone of these would fit the bill.
Defoe-would be great
Pav-spurs man could do a job for us
Rhodes-gamble I know but he knows where the net is
Torres-Chelsea pay his wages and we can give him confidence win win situation no he is awful at mo but needs to play and motes could be the man to help him

Believable3 Unbelievable3

The word is our... not are. "Our passing". Not "are passing". Did you go to school?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is the spelling an issue? plank! you understood what it meant didnt you or that the issue you cant understand DOH

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought Torres was outstanding yesterday. Was unlucky not to score and win 2 pens. Hope we go nowhere near Pav. Another misfiring Russian who would not come cheaply. Can't see us being able to afford Defoe. I understand he is on nearer 80k than 50k.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is not a spelling competition fella, let the lad have his say without a teacher questioning his grammar

D

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you a teacher or something or just thought you would correct mistake most people would of understood, if your reply is not football based don't bother replying otherwise you would spend all day correcting grammar

Agree0 Disagree0

Its "would have" not "would of " - but you are right, it would take a lot of time to correct all of the mistakes on here so just concentrate on the footy

Agree0 Disagree0

He made a good point

Agree0 Disagree0

It's "It's" not "Its". Just sayin. {Ed025's Note - well dont!...
