Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

If we had a Landon Donovan type to give us something on the right, with Baines on the left, then I'd fancy our chances this season better. But without Beckford harrying defences up top and without this pace in the team we're slow and predictable. Crucially, we're easy to defend against.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

If beckford can stay fit, he is crucial to us and i can see him getting 15+ this season. He got better as last season went on and some of the goals he scored were top drawer

Agree0 Disagree0

I was really hoping we would get donovan back, he slotted into our team and style of play so well when he was on loan and i am sure he would jump at the chance of coming back {Ed025's Note - there would be a fee...and big wages..dont bank on it..

Ok so 1-1 in dublin but we had plenty of chances kept there keeper busy same chances different game we could of scored a few so thats something i suppose Like many people have already said we are 2 signings away from being a top 5 team just need that 20+ goals a seson striker a pacey winger and were there Coyb On a unrelated note sergio aguero is gonna make man city a title challenging team Lets hope suspension or injury keeps him out when we play them :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yes, Aguero is very good and ran rings around the opposition tonight......but lets just remember, that opposition was Swansea at home. Let's see how they do against the likes of Chelsea and Man U. I still think they'll be a way off those two.

So we have seen most of the teams other than Tottenham and Everton, what do you think for the season? Heres mine:

1) United
2) City
3) Chelsea
4) Tottenham
5) Liverpool
6) Arsenal
7) Everton
8) Fulham
9) Bolton
10) Newcastle
11) Aston Villa
12) Sunderland
13) Stoke
14) QPR
15) Wigan
16) Norwich City
17) West Brom
18) Blackburn
19) Wolves
20) Swansea

But i honestly think City could win the title, its basically:

United Vs City Vs Chelsea
Tottenham Vs Liverpool Vs Arsenal

To be honest, i think Everton are basically best of the rest, almost guaranteed where we will finish.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Also, all the middle teams, its quite hard to distinguish between them all to be honest, but i think Newcastle and Bolton will do very well this season, Aston Villa still alot to do to get to where they should be - just under Everton

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we can pip spurs to 6th place

Agree0 Disagree0

1 chelsea 2 man utd 3 man city 4 everton {Ed025's Note - bit too ambitious mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

1) Utd 2) Chelski 3) City 4) The Arse

Agree0 Disagree0

1. Manchester United

14. Swansea City
15. Newcastle United
16. Wolverhampton Wanderers
17. Westbromwich Albion
18. Norwich City
19. Blackburn Rovers
20. Queens Park Rangers

It just feels that its going to be Everton finishing above Liverpool, mainly because of the idea of having them spend hundreds of millions on new players and us spending diddly sqwat.
Reply With Quote {Ed025's Note - it would be great...but only time will tell

Agree0 Disagree0

1. City 2. United 3. Chelsea 4...
4th is the really tricky one. Depends who the Arse get in before aug 31st, otherwise it's wide open...Could be Spurs again.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we might be seventh again, but hoping we sneak 6th. A good cup run would be nice as well

Baines

Barkley
Fellaini

I think we'll see something like that against QPR, 2-1 Everton. Arteta and Saha with the goals. {Ed025's Note - they wont score...could,nt hit a bulls arse with a banjo!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I smell a victory for Everton, i am quietly confident of a top 6 place

Ft 1.1, even though this was more or less a training game let's put it in perspective, bohs are a part time LOI team and not a great one at that, they also rested 5 of there regular first 11 who were sitting in front of us and said they weren't allowed to play.

So taking all that into consideration this was shocking at best, there was no imagination, no inventfulness and no desire. Anything that was created was wasted on not having a decent striker.... Same old story... Things can only get better, but can see a few sleepless nights ahead.

By the way the biggest cheer of the night was when vic shot in the first half from 20 yards and the ball went out of the ground {Ed025's Note - he certainly knows where the back of the stand is!

Tempt Wigan with a 3 million plus Yak offer for Rodallega maybe? {Ed025's Note - or 2 million without yak....no seriously, he could be a good shout..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We have been linked with rodallega a few times, the few times i have seen him he has looked great and i think he would be a good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

I really rate Rodellega. He's got great movement and pace. His shooting can be a bit wayward at times but he always gets in dangerous positions and has a nice touch. I think he could do well in our team. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate

Deadline Day, busy or not ??
So guys are we guna be run off our feet on the 31st desperately trying to keep up with a scurry of activity ?
In all seriousness though I think we might just have some action last minute {Ed025's Note - my typing fingers, are in full training for the last day..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we can shift Yobo soon-ish I'll be a bit more excited, to be honest.
Although I do have a niggling worry that we're going to finally sell our dead wood and then not have enough time to make any decent buys {Ed025's Note - it happened with rooney..

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see it now; David Bentley, Sean Wright-Phillips and Peter Crouch pulling into finch farm. The holy trinity of desperate jargness. {Ed025's Note - lmao

Agree0 Disagree0

I love deadline day and all the s***e that comes with it. That fella with 85 phones on SSN cracks me up

Agree0 Disagree0

The obligatory "comedy" picture of Crouch standing beside Wright-Phillips would be my final memory as I finish the bleach bottle. {Ed025's Note - give us a swig there mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be happy with Anichebe / Yobo / Yakubu all sold.....
Money used for 1 good player {Ed025's Note - me too..

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see a couple of players coming in on loan and hopefully yak/yobo and anichebe heading for the exit {Ed025's Note - lets hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be a boost to offload yak and yobo to save on their wages, they are both on a decent wage

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2011 21:13:07
we should loan out Anichebe so he can stop getting a chance. I actually think a season in the championship would give him some confidence. Or if he's completely gash there it might convince Moyes to finally give up on him. Win win. {Ed025's Note - thoroughly agree..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Anichebe would be good in the chamionship. Moyes seem to rate him though,he has stayed patient with him, but there are still no signs of him coming good {Ed025's Note - dont even get me started..

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2011 20:44:14
we will go into the beginning of the season with three home and one away game that are all very winnable. I do realise this is Everton so it would be prudent to not count on anything like that happening

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The pride of Shepherd's Bush return to the Premiership after a 15 year absence. The Premiership Gods decided to forgo any romantic return as Bolton duly tonked them four to nothing at Loftus Park. Of course this only gave us hope that we will double up on their grief and volley them all over the show at Goodison on the weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm carefully optimistic about the forthcoming season

Agree0 Disagree0

2-0 Saha (2) COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm very forgiving of Moyes' weaknesses because of the massive net-positive effect he's had on the club since arriving here, but even my eyes will roll if we start with Cahill behind Saha and Osman on the wing. Injury crisis or not.

From the neutral's POV we look like the home-bankers of the weekend. Could see Osman having a good game against these if he makes it; might stick him in me fantasy team. {Ed025's Note - if them three are playing...ill be happy mate....now if anichebe starts (rolling eyes)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm there, in ze Paddock against QPR. Thank Christ some actual football is back eh? COYB {Ed025's Note - i am in ze top balcony....i vil say dis only once

Agree0 Disagree0

If they attack we'll tar and feather them. 3 nil good guys.

Agree0 Disagree0

My heart says we'll knob them 3-0 with Saha producing an electric performance.
My head says 1-1 and more early season frustration. {Ed025's Note - listen to your heart..

Agree0 Disagree0

Heart says 12-0 with a Hibbert hattrick.
Head says 1-1. {Ed025's Note - 2-0.....believe in mystic ed..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm going to go 2 - 0.

Ht bohs 0 eve 1 beckford terrible game, most worrying that jags and Baines didn't travel. Any idea on why ed? {Ed024's Note - just giving others a chance in preffered positions so no Jags, game was guaranteed to be poor as both teams don't want any injuries as season has started, keep watching supposed to be 6 subs in second half total training match!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Substitution - Apostolos Vellios, Sylvain Distain, Tim Howard and Leon Osman are in for Jermaion Beckford, John Heitinga, Jan Mucha and Ross Barkley

Agree0 Disagree0

And Shkodram Mustafi is on for Shane Duffy also.

Agree0 Disagree0

57' - Sooo close from Anichebe Great run to the byline before turning back into the box and firing narrowly wide of Sexton's left hand post

Agree0 Disagree0

Flood scores for them. Whoever he is.

Ha their keeper has just been subbed, sounds like hes been in good form,we have 6mins to win it, still 1-1

Full time no injury time played 1-1

we have Barkley, can't believe we are already forced to give him a start, got to thank Billy for getting sent off, but he would be back for Blackburn.

This should mean Anichebe on the left and Barkley on the right, which is no different to some of the pre season friendly the matter is who is playing in the middle, it would be three from Fellaini, Osman, Heitinga, Cahill, Rodwell & Arteta if he is ready, not much different at the back, with either Neville or Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin and Baines but the only other problem is who is upfront Beckford or Saha?
We would be very short on the wide area if Anichebe or Barkley gets any injuries

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Aug 2011 20:33:43
Pity how we have no wingers, and haven't had any for a long time (excluding landon's short stay) - and yet we rely almost entirely on crosses into the area for our goals.

Someone should just think about revamping our tactics, like. Baines and Neville (he isn't so bad at it) to provide crosses from deep, and rather play a compact narrow 4-2-2-2. Like this:

Howard
Neville Jagielka Distin Baines
Heitinga Fellaini
Arteta Osman
Cahill
Saha

Fernandes has taken over over 50% of the club. Kenwright only holds 25.84%.
QPR are based in the capital. We're under the shadow of Liverpool, (northwest) United and City.
We dont have any salable assets apart from players.
Briatore is a well connected business man. Bill Kenwright is not.
Fernandes looks like he wanted a London club...he was snubbed to buy West Ham not long ago

Believable0 Unbelievable0

51% of qpr
Sold for £100 million we are for sale for £150 mill ( so the rumour goes ) our stadium is better than theirs better players better manager and fan base so why has this chap not got hold of us ? {Ed024's Note - WHO??? Ambani??

Agree0 Disagree0

QPR are going to be in the news for all the wrong reasons this season, a lot of shady characters involved with that club. {Ed024's Note - Fernandes is solid character and respected business man but would much rather have Anil Ambani own EFC much wealthier and pulled out of QPR so free to deal with

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be no signings this season and Everton will finish 10th.

David Moyes will leave at the end of the season sue to frustration at the constant lack of funds.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

The blues will be at least 7th again. If we can have a good start and have a bit of luck with injuries, i think we can surprise a few people and do well. We have some great youngsters coming through as well

Agree0 Disagree0

10th no way, we have kept hold of all our best players and we have some great youngsters coming through. I am looking forward to this season. 6th for the blues

my feelings are that no one is coming in and maybe some one is going. Moyes signed Fellaini on transfer deadline day so lets hope he gets defoe or a string of ppl on deadline day. Don't disappoint us all, he must of stayed for something. he had the chance to go villa, i wouldn't of blamed him if he left, quality manager but hes getting made of a show by a skint al b**tards, he can't go soon enough. {Ed025's Note - there is not even a sign, that we will be signing anyone.....but i hope i am wrong..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I will not panic until the window closes, moyes is shrewd in the transfer market and he will be working hard to try and bring a couple of players in. Lets trust moyes, he has never let us down.

Agree0 Disagree0

The loan market will be active towards the end of the window and i am sure moyes will bring someone in {Ed024's Note - Agreed, Vicente supposed to be in pipeline on 2year deal, watch this space

Team to play QPR:

Howard

Neville Jagielka Distin Baines

Osman Fellaini Barkley Gueye

Beckford Saha

After 65 minutes change formation
to 4 - 3 - 1 - 2.
Bring on Cahill for Fellaini (Put him
behind strikers) and bring Vellios on
for Saha.

Midfield and Strikers:

Osman Barkley Gueye

Cahill

Beckford Vellios

I think we will win 4-0.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Good team, i hope we start 4-4-2, as we need to attack teams especially at home. I would take a 1-0 win. I think we can nick 6th place this season, especially if our good home form continues from the end of last season

Agree0 Disagree0

FINALLY someone speaking some sense, best team we could possible play

Did anyone see Victor Moses play yesterday, looked very sharp on the ball, just unlucky. Can play on the left or in the middle, personaly i'd put him up front. He'd be a good buy if we had a bit of cash.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

He had ONE good game, i've watched him plenty of times and he's not an Everton player, he's a striker with the record of 36 appearances and 2 goals, no thanks.

whats the latest on vicente

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Everton only want him on a pay as you play were as he wants a salary.Ive also heard we are trying to get Onhaua(spelling?) from Man city on loan. PADDOCKBLUE

Agree0 Disagree0

Vicente has always been a good player and he would be a good signing, i have heard he has had injury problems though, but worth a risk if it is a free.

Not going to happen but would love us to put a cheeky bid in for Jarvis and make a loan move for Sturridge or Macheda.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Good shout mate, ive always liked jarvis, right footed, but would be perfect on the left linking with baines

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw Jarvis throwing quality crosses in with both feet last year... hes quick can take people on and has a decent shot on him too... iv said it before other than sturridge he was the player i was looking forward to possibly signing this summer (being realistic as in not Messi)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes not quick tbh, but good player all the same

Agree0 Disagree0

I think moyes will be desperate to offload yak and yobo so fund a bid for a player. I think jarvis is a relistic target if moyes can get some funds together

Agree0 Disagree0

Jarvis is not a realistic target. He just became an English international so Wolves would expect 10+ so thats unrealistic for us. Defoe is going nowhere the way Harry has been talking of late. Macheda is not good enough. Think two players will come in the final few days of the window. either Vicente free, Pedro free or Krancjar on loan. Plus a striker maybe that Belgium under 21 player who scored 2 for Belgium under 21s last week cant think of his name valued at 1-2m . Sturidge cant see been let go on loan till at least Jan.
