Did anyone else think that Keane is very average and small. haven't seen much of him at all but after watching him there today he doesn't get my vote.
What you think Ed?

{Ed025's Note - i dont think he was that impressive myself jimbob, i know rom is so strong and in great form but on that last goal he done him like a kipper, its hard to tell how good he is yet but lots are saying he is destined for great things and who am i to argue mate..

I thought he was solid myself, won plenty of aerial challenges, carried the ball out from the back well, had decent distribution and most importantly he was very vocal and marshalled a well drilled back line.
Lukaku turned him for his goal but other than that he didn't have any time at all due to how tight he was marked by both Keane and Mee. I watched the organisation of the Burnley defence and midfield from a good viewpoint in the upper bullens and Lukaku just doesn't do enough when teams play like this to find space for himself or his teammates by playing between the lines, players like Aguero and Sanchez are excellent at this and also score goals.
I can't really criticise due to his scoring record but I do feel he isn't a team player and a big move that he craves may comeback and expose his flaws with him playing against better defences in top European competition. For me Keane improved our defence and is a talented young defender.

Small? I think you're looking at the wrong fella mate. I was amazed how big he was even next to RL. I thought he did well and just got done for the goal. I'd be happy to see him in blue next season alongside VVD.

No I don't think I was looking at the wrong fella. from my point of view he didn't stand out in a team that played well for 40 minutes. Also got done by school boy defending being far to tight an square.
However if people around the game think he is destined for great things like you say Ed I hope they are right if he's coming to the blues. As I thought he looked average going off yesterday performance.
Suppose I could of hyped him up a lot due to all the good reviews about him. But purely off what I seen yesterday. I didn't see any of that.
