Just wanna make a point about tomorrow's games. Things are grim at the moment, but we need to help the team. The atmosphere at Goodison this year hasn't been great and I know we reflect what we see on the pitch, but the boys in blue need our help. No matter what happens in the game let's keep our heads up, let's raise the roof so the players feel the belief to go out and perform the way they can. The team have been poor but so has the crowd this year for the most part, let's all united and dispel this negativity and help breed a positive feeling for the most crucial week of the season. COYB!

Totally disagree but all entitled to our opinion. I don't think by protesting against mainly our manager and board does NOT mean you are a proper Evertonian .
Like some others on here I have followed Everton all over Europe for many years, first game 59 BUT by attending you are simply saying to the board you are happy with what is being served up . You can be a supporter of many things but would soon stop supporting for example a theatre or restaurant if they served up rubbish so what is so different with our club.
i actually feel because I love them so much it is even harder to NOT ATTEND but feel if far more did then action would be taken much quicker.
I have not renewed my season ticket and I know there are many others who also are awaiting action.
This does not mean we ARE NOT TRUE SUPPORTERS, I am just trying in my own way to do my own protest against the severley underperforming team this season completly the fault of RM and the board for allowing it to continue for so long.
i have given my tickets at a loss to others inc a semi final ticket .
Finally I do not think that many of the players are showing any passion except in the cup games that shows they only choosing to show it when it suits them.
Having seen them RS from accross the park it is actually embarrasing for the first time ever supporting the blues, tbat is how low RM has taken us.
Only MY OPINION
sorry.

The SUPPORTERS pay a a lot of money to see the lads, I have one mate who takes his two sons to every home game, and then been skint the rest of the week, he has the right to show his anger, you are not a TRUE SUPPORTERS if you bury your head in the sand.

I work with 2 Liverpool fans. After they won last night they was singing you'll never walk alone. One of them stopped after 1st verse I took the p##s out of him and asked why he stopped singing. The answer was I don't know the words. Liverpool fans. 😄😄😄😄😄.

I decided long ago that God put EFC and LFC on the earth to test my faith. I started supporting in 1967/ 8 and watched all through my life that flippin lot win everything from youth leagues to European cups. In 1980 I moved to Bristol so really limited my ability to watch my beloved Blues. Of course the BBC then stopped most of Match of the Day. and by 1984 we came good. By then I had my beautiful family, but no money to travel and support in any real way. So I saw precious little of the success years. Just the odd game now and again. Now my kids are grown I do get up for games again thanks to the Plymouth Branch of the supporters club. Back to the God thing. I thought I would check out and see if I was being paranoid or whether there was substance in my theory. here is the proof that it is his will and my test. oh. and yours too!
1914 we won the 1st division title. That year World War 1 broke out and so we can only assume that our successful team was somewhat effected by events. Fast forward.1938/ 9 we won the league again. guess what? yes another world war. This time fixtures were actually suspended and I can only guess the same effect on EFC with players being called up. Fast forward again.1968 I start supporting and watch my first cup final on tv. Jeff Astle! Damn! (sorry Lord) . 1970 yeah yeah yeah! Happiness. but then LFC what's happening there Lord? They are winning everything! year after year. perhaps I should support them? No that would be like turning to Satan for help. I will continue suffering! 1984 wow things are really going good and then. Heysel (bigger picture I know. but terrible though it was/ is. it is still part of the suffering for everyone) . We are banned. Off goes Howard, Linekar, Stevens and Stephen. In comes Pat Nevin and some others not fit to lace Reidy's drinks never mind his boots. We are banned after the wonderful events in Rotterdam and our best ever team denied the chance to challenge for the elite trophy. Like I said, the Good Lord must have had something to do with events and I am still tring to work things out. I know events like 2 world wars and the terrible Heysel disaster eclipse football, but sometimes it seems like being an Evertonian is like carrying your own cross!

I am just wondering what everyone's expectations where this season just where did you all seriously think we would finish at the start of the season have we done worse or was all this expected of our team
Personally I'm not surprised one bit the only thing I never seen coming was are new investor.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Apr 2016 14:58:03
Well Skylark I did expect us to improve on last season and probably finish in the top eight. I did expect us to win more games at Goodison than we have. I did expect to see a team that played with pride, enthusiasm, and passion. I grew up in the days when the Old Lady rocked, players may not have been as gifted or as well payed as the present team but they gave all they had for the club. Teams this year like Leicester have shown what team spirit can do and I have to say Liverpool last night. Whether we like it or not both teams have managers that can inspire the team to get results beyond the players individual capabilities. We have a manager that does not inspire me or more to the point the players and who wallows in excuses and blames everyone but himself.

Would really like to see some of the under-21's given a chance before the end of the season, seems like the perfect time to give them some first team action as we aren't exactly fighting for anything. The likes of Kieran Dowell, Brendan Galloway and Jonjoe Kenny should all be given some minutes.

Completely agree. Really annoys me when I see Martinez bringing on someone like Osman in the dying minutes instead of giving Dowell a chance.

I'm going into hiding like many other blues for the next 8 days then I will surface sunday morning to see rm has left by mutual consent.

This is the only positive thing that can come from what I am expecting.

I said the other night when we played palace that we should bring gibbo back.

sooner the season is over the better, if I'm thinking what everyone else is then RM could be gone by next sunday. I am convinced he is only here for his trip to wembly.

New manager like de boer or koeman will do me and get us back into top 6, I still think that carrick is just papetalk, how can a in coming manager get carrick when we don't know who he is.

Moshiri will have huge say in the summer, and I think we will be back in top 4.

I may be able to watch motd again ahahahah.

Everton are to ask for permission to play their home games on the moon; there's more atmosphere there than at GP.
Sorry about the sarcasm but it's just how I feel at the moment about the sorry state of affairs after a season that promised so much yet so far has delivered so little.

Our so called starting 11 are currently not doing it. Now is perfect time to give fringe players a go. This weekend why not bring back Galloway and Gibson into the 11? Sick of seeing same faces each game not doing it. Rom could do with a breather too. Robles Coleman Mori Stones Galloway, Barry Gibson Besic, Geri and Mirallas wide and Kone up top. Barkley Rom Baines all rested or dropped however you want to look it. Rather someone with a point to prove and a hunger to get a cup final place given a go.

He is far too stubborn and over confident in his own abilities to admit change and to be proactive. Everything Martinez does is reactive with 80 percent of the time that reaction invariably the wrong decision. I thought I was hearing things the other day when Mr Martinez said he had not done anything any different during 7 years at this level, when every man and his dog can see that Martinez methods do not work. The Team are not doing well at home and I believe I (like quite a few others) can pinpoint the reason why we concede so many. At Corners and free kicks, how many times have you seen Jones up off the bench directing the defence, this is a guy with no pedigree and besides which all this stuff should be sorted out on the training pitch not during a live game, that should be up to the players and Captain on the pitch.

Moshiri is obviously now aware of the 3 major factors that are stifling Everton fans and need addressing immediately.
1. Managerial change
2. Stadium update
3. Where the hell is the Arteta money
If he can address these before the summer then we can look forward to next season as the immediate future is looking bleak.

Under Walter Smith and David Moyes, the club operated on working in the black. ie after sales and purchases of players, we made a little profit. That was over 15 years. We made about 2 million profit in that time and improved the squad no end. Since RM took over, we have operated in the red. ie we have spent more than we have brought in. Estimations are between 40 and 60 million depending on figures available. I would say our squad is nowhere near 40 million better. I would say it is 40 million worse. That is what he has done in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2016 13:11:43
Anyone can manipulate figures to show what they want, why don't we wait and see how much the players he bought are sold for, as I see it if Lukaku goes for the figures supposedly quoted then most of that debt will be wiped.
Oh look Martinez worked under the same conditions you just quoted for Walter Smith and David Moyes!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I really would not get too wrapped up in the costs of players.}

15 Apr 2016 14:00:19
I think you need to come out and tell us who you really are Degsy or should I say David Moyes!

Right, Lukaku is likely to go for between £50 and £65mil. We Sold Anichebe for 6.5mil and Jelly for 7.5mil. One thing I can give Roberto a bit of credit for is that he gets a premium rate for players when selling them. Moyes used to give them away and Smiths team were in the red even if we got them on free transfers.

If you add Barkley, Rom and Stones they would cover the whole of Smiths and Moyes's sales and purchases.

This is what I remember of Moyes sales:
Ruddy £0mil
Arteta £10 mil
Rodwell £12mil
Billyletmeoff £0mil
Gosling £0mil
S Pienaar £3mil then signing him for £4.5mil
Mustifi £0mil
Vaughan £2.5mil

Moyes never spent money because he could never get value out his sales and let them go cheap "to help their careers"

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2016 16:46:45
managers don't have a say on how much a player is worth, that's all down to the board. football has moved on since the days of managers getting back handers, I hope.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2016 08:10:34
Morning all.

This is going to blunt. I hope we don't get Klinsmann as I believe it's another Moyse. Plus he came out on twitter and said its false and we already have a fantastic manager. (I know, I know)

Doing a bit of Googling turns out Mourinho wants to stay in the Premiership and he said he'll be starting in July. Now let's say he doesn't go to Man Utd and rumours are saying it's doubtful now. Where else is he going to go. Surely it has to be us. Please God be us, I promise I'll stop looking at them "happy sites" if you make this happen.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Everton have not approached Klinsmann nor Mourinho and Mourinho will not be Everton's manager.}

15 Apr 2016 10:38:13
Sorry ed002 but even with your knowledge and contacts you can't be sure and you can never say never in football much stranger things have happened than mourinio coming to manage Everton.
Is it just your opinion or do your have concrete evidence that he won't be at Everton nxt season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to keep going over the same thing repeatedly. Jose Mourinho will not be the manager of Everton next season.}

15 Apr 2016 07:46:23
I know it will not happen, but wouldn't it be a marvellous gesture if the Everton supporters gave up their allocation of tickets for the Leicester City game, allowing Leicester to allocate them to Leicester fans for their final home game and possible league trophy presentation.

Would they do it for us, probably not, but a nice gesture from our supporters if it did happen.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

15 Apr 2016 09:08:48
after a crap season, why don't everton fans sell their tickets and get totally hammered, or sell them and get thousands of OUT MARTINEZ BANNERS FOR OUR LAST HOME GAME.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2016 10:22:41
I have already sold my tickets for the next 2 home games I am sick to the back teeth and call me a bitter BLUE but reds performance last night and their brilliant new manager has put me into a deep depression. My main reson for this is we or the BOARD could have avoided this with some bravery or if they loved Everton like us and NOT money!

15 Apr 2016 07:13:24
So to put last night's game into context Liverpool came from 2-0 and 3-1 down to beat one of the best sides in Europe and showed great desire and passion and we can't beat Crystal Palace or Watford and the only two players who run for 90 mins are a 33 year old Barry and Lennon then get told my our twat of a manager that we have hit our stride at the right time holy shit I'm embarrassed on paper I would say we have the better team the problem is the way we play liverpool press and close down we stand there and pray Barkley or Lukaku will do something special I'm one very worried Evertonion because Southampton and Liverpool will both turn us over and I can't believe we still have Roberto lovers out there because as Liverpool showed last night look what a great manager can do for you.

15 Apr 2016 08:51:14
Spot on mate. Think by the end of the month the season will be officially over. Not looking forward to the next few games, could be very embarrassing.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 Apr 2016 11:22:54
That's where I think you are wrong. I don't think we will get "turned over" whilst this manager is in charge. We will get beaten yes. but we will be many games until the last minute because we will retain possession and pass the ball aimlessly around week in week out. The other teams will only get the ball off us for minutes at a time so we should not get hammered. However, we also won't hammer other teams because not much happens whilst we retain the ball. it just goes up and down and side to side. yawn.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2016 23:53:27
When you think about it, how did Martinez even get the job? He had just been relegated, I mean would I have got the job if I went to Bill and said I'll get you into the champions league?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed033's Note - The Everton management believed that a large proportion of Everton fans wanted Roberto Martinez to be the Everton manager so they offered it to RM and he accepted the offer.

15 Apr 2016 01:30:11
I think that they believed incorrectly. In fact I was not asked or consulted and I would like to know who was?

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed033's Note - i'm not saying you're incorrect but at the time it was just a belief by the Everton management that of the available Premier League 'Worthy' managers, RM was the Everton Fans favourite of those available managers.

15 Apr 2016 08:42:13
I thought the majority were after Vitor Per Ed, that seemed the way on our site here anyway, he wouldn't have come anyway like.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - yes, but i'm talking about a management belief not what was reality. At the time the Everton management believed of the available P.L. managers, RM was who the majority of the fans wanted in and the management thought RM was also the best of the available managers.

15 Apr 2016 09:42:03
i don't no anyone who wanted him, bill messed up and that's the top and bottom of it.

Blue, I got absolutely pelted on here by loads of blues who were ecstatic the day he signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2016 21:56:24
Loads of fans wanted Martinez. I saw a majority of comments on here and other sites and spoke to loads personally who thought he was right for us. People have very short memories. I really didn't want him before he came but in his first season even I was happily admitting I was wrong and thinking we might have found a gem, as were most of us. Stones' panenka v Juventus, Rom signing on deadline day, The School of Science is on its way back. remember all that? There were some talking about Pereira when Moyes left but Martinez was favourite. We can want him gone (please! ) but don't say no-one except Bill and the board wanted him and throw all the blame on them. Not true.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Apr 2016 04:43:52
So does that mean if a large proportion of Everton fans want Bobby gone, the board will listen, let's hope so Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - Shouting something similar to, "Martinez Out" at matches might give the Board a hint.

14 Apr 2016 23:35:12
Not going to post anything negative after this one but got horrible feeling this next 8 days are going to be some of the worst days since I started supporting the blues.
Saturday, at home (that's bad enough) but scratch team due to injuries, would take 0-0

Derby, injuries plus Semi on the Saturday= if we get away without a total embarrassing score line would take it.
Utd?
Good luck on here, sirens gone off and I'm staying in me bunker till a week on Monday!
Fear the worst and hope for the best.
