Pienaar will be fit for Monday but Gibson out so what's people thoughts on the line up??
Don't really like Neville in midfield but he does a job ONLY if Fellaini plays behind Jelavic though. If Fellaini is played centre mid then Neville shouldn't play in there with him. As long as Jelavic, Baines, Pienaar, Fellaini and Mirallas are on the pitch i'm not too bothered who else starts.
What about you guys?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I think Neville is ok to do a job for a couple of games and it allows Fellaini to stay where he is where he is most dangerous!

Steve

Agree0 Disagree0

The shape of the team and especially where Fellaini is best deployed depends on the strengths of the opposition.
If, as with WBA, we are confronted with tall, dominating CB's it really is pointless relying on high crosses trying to find Fellaini's head.
Against such opposition the ball needs to be played quickly on the ground where players like Mirallis, Naismith and the Jellyman, supplied by Pienaar, Baines and Ossie, have the skills to wreak havoc.
Felliani would be holding MF in the above situation.

Ed, whqt do you think of solving or right wing problem in january with varela from porto? {Ed025's Note - a decent player mate...but a gamble..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

We don't really have a right wing problem, seeing as we now have Naismith and Mirallas

Agree0 Disagree0

What right wing problem

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey guys and gals... I have an interview with everton in the community next week... Does anyone on here volunteer for it? If so, what are the questions like/what are the questions in the interview? Much appreciated, nervous!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I had a bit of contact with them last year with the Santa Dash (more to come on that in the near future) and found everyone I spoke to was open, honest and decent. My advice, for what it is worth, is to just be yourself and answer any questions honestly and from the heart.
If you've applied for the role for the right reasons then my guess is they'll want you to succeed and won't set you up for a fall. Good luck dude.

ps come back on and let us know how it went

Why would you disagree with that? The lad is going to be doing good in our community with the greatest team in the world! Mindless persons!

Remembering the time we lost one of our little blue army in Rhys jones, the Z cars theme filled anfield as a mark of respect, I think in light of very recent events it would be only to fitting if we honoured those lost at Hillsborough by playing you'll never walk Alone on Monday night... We have our rivalries yes but as a city we were all affected by this tragedy , let's do the right thing here... We are the people's club !
Blue Andy {Ed051's Note - I agree mate red or blue, in Liverpool were the same

Believable10 Unbelievable2

That would be a hugely significant gesture by Everton FC and Evertonians. It would be for the right reasons but I think it wouldn't sit easy with some fans.

Ironically Liverpool's first game after Hillsborough was a derby at our place. It was an emotional night. Before kick off everyone sang you'll never walk alone and chanted merseyside, merseyside. Once the game started the gloves were off however. I'm not sure of the score but seem to remember we won 1.0 with a goal by ian wilson. Not long after we played them again in the fa cup final which was one of the most dramatic games I've seen. Sadly we lost but it seemed kind of fitting at the time.

Don't see the point of playing YNWA at Goodison to be honest.
I support the city and the loss of the 96 lives and I was over the moon with justice finally being made but YNWA played at Goodison? Not for me i'm sorry lads.
I am all for displaying banners, posters and cards held up by the stand reading out "JUSTICE" but I couldn't stomach YNWA being played at Goodison. Sorry, it's just how I feel.

Sad Ste, very very sad

Im guessing that you two were the disagrees Ste and Mike.

Shame on you pair

James C

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely "abide with me" or a lone piper would be more dignified.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see why you would say shame on you because of my opinion.
No I didn't disagree to the original post so I am not one of the two who clicked disagree, I'm just giving my opinion mate, if it happens then it's a nice touch from our club but giving the choose I would go for banners, posters and cards held up, but not YNWA played at Goodison that's all I am saying.
My opinion. If it is played I will respect it, I am a season ticket holder and would rather not listen to it but if it was played I wouldn't object or moan about it.

Blue Duck I said this on the day he signed for Fulham... Then some joker claimed he was the worst player in the euros. nonsense, think he's a quality player with the ultimate attitude.
