Confident we will get the three points tomorrow. Need to put some breathing space from the teams below us and take some confidence over to Kiev.
Just watched the Burnley game. You have to admire their team spirit and work rate. Obviously buy in to what the manager preaches. Am I right that all their squad are British?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

i think they may be tedster..

14 Mar 2015 20:24:06
It's squeaky bum time and if we don't win tomorrow I'm replacing my real ale with four pints of Dioralyte!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

you may need them mushy, but lets hope not mate..

14 Mar 2015 20:40:01
3 points from relegation and importantly 5 points behind those above us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - frightening stat that DM...even if we win we dont move..

Just off to the pub with the missus,

I won't remember the rest of this evening whatever I do or say,

But unfortunately I have a feeling this season could haunt me for,

Oh to hell with it,

come on you Blues FFS!!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - have a good night 247..

15 Mar 2015 06:51:07
At this stage Dunc it doesn't matter about what's above us as long as we stay above those below us. Sad to say

After todays results nothing less than a win tomorrow is good enough. Need to see a performance from the first whistle and not wait until we are a goal down.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - 3 points off the bottom 3 now gray, i dont want to heap pressure on the guys but tomorrow is a must win game, we need the commitment and passion we showed in the second half against dynamo from the start..and a bit of good luck mate..

14 Mar 2015 20:28:10
It does show how bad its become ed when you are looking out for Burnleys results. let's just hope the players don't come out and start off frightened to lose and instead come out confident of winning.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i hope so too gray..

14 Mar 2015 19:33:48
We are now 3 points above the relegation places, thanks mr martinez, if we do go down, we must not forget to thank mr kenwright, for puting his ego before our club.

As if it wasn't already tomorrow has just become a must win game. Lose and I think it's time for Bobby to have some self respect and resign if Bill doesn't have the guts to sack him.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - my guess is bill wont act until the season has finished gibbo

14 Mar 2015 20:14:19
Lets just hope we tear the barcodes a new one tomorrow and restore it to six points. Either way I suspect tomorrow will be the pivotal game of our season, come 5.45 if we win and we have breathing space and maybe on the back of Thursday a chance to push on, draw it is squeaky bum time, lose and we face the real possibility of being in the bottom three in a weeks time.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - after tonights result wedge the burnley game on april 16th is massive, we have newcastle tomorrow and then QPR, 6 points would be great, 4 mediocre, but any less a disaster....burnley have shown they are up for the fight but we as yet have not, lets hope that changes tomorrow bmate..

14 Mar 2015 20:28:46
Bill has egg on his face already but being a luvvy his ego is bigger than Roberto's. The fact is that other Clubs that were in similar position acted quickly but in their view at the last minute and look how they have recovered. Unfortunately we are stuck with Roberto until the end of the season (he knows there is nobody else around to replace him at this late stage. Get your head out of the sand Roberto, look in the mirror and for gods sake admit that your present system does not work. All it needs is a few little tweaks, give your players the freedom to adapt and take the second half against Dynamo as a template. If we do not get 3 points tomorrow, by God you had better fall on your sword.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if the worst was to happen tomorrow DM...i will be giving him a nudge mate..

14 Mar 2015 20:41:04
Couldn't agree more Ed, Well to set a positive note I'm going for 3-2 to us, unless Howard pulls a muscle in his beard during the warm up or something and Joel plays, in which case 3-0 to us.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i hope your right wedge mate..

14 Mar 2015 19:30:57
Just watched SNF and had a look at the table, don't talk to me about games in hand, at no point in the season should we ever be only 3 points above relegation and 3 points ahead of Burnley, I mean "Burnley" for Christ sake, another pint please!

For the first thirty odd minutes on Thursday, I saw what cannot be blamed on the manager: slow movement off the spot, poor technique, unintelligent and wayward passing, bad first touches. The technique was sorely missing and we can't sack that and replace it. Just can't believe how seemingly incompetent as footballers we seem to have become.

What frustrates me most, Guernsey, is slow from a standing position, every pro should be more alive on their feet, more perceptive. Livelier, know what I mean.

The manager selects the players and the formation and system these players are to play in, after 30 minutes of this same old system that hasn't worked again not working and the crowd getting on the players backs these same players performed due to playing to there strengths. This is something this manager has not done all season and something he can't take credit for. Am sorry but if the players decided enough is enough that clearly shows he has no standing in that dressing room and therefore needs to go. The same thing happened at Villa who got rid of Lambert due to him losing the dressing room, how have they done since this change?

{Ed025's Note - all fair points them gray..

14 Mar 2015 14:38:19
Just watched sky Soccer Saturday discussing Evertons season. No names mentioned but all the pundits to a man didn't put blame on the players. That only leaves the one person to blame.
Isn't there a saying that says you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.

Oh what a fickle bunch we are! I haven't been on here for a while and logged in recently to find loads of Bobby the fraud comments ( ed025 included) now rewind to last season and every one was having a massive w**kfest over Bobby and the school of science football we were playing, whilst I would agree it hasn't been a great second season( yet) do we really want to give up on him already?

Believable4 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - the thing is steve...he has been found out mate!, yes last year went great but its about longevity, how else can we explain the form of players like baines, coleman, barkley and even jags at the start, these are great players who have hit the wall and in most peoples opinion its down to bobbys tactics, this slow pass pass pass game is crushing the players and supporters and his tactics are so 1 dimensional that teams have worked us out, for me he has lost the dressing room and yes i believe its time for a change, i dont take sacking a manager lightly but my priority is the football club and its status in the top flight, we are in jeopardy of going down and thats not good enough so call me fickle if you like..i call it not burying your head in the sand and telling it like it is..

14 Mar 2015 11:12:07
agreed! The crowd changed the tactics in the game the other night, not Bobby - he simply cannot change. LB on the commentary setup quite clearly hinted a dressing room revolt by some of his comments & yet the fraud came out at the end of the match & claimed the change in tempo in the second half & end of the first half was much much better - even though it was the Evertonian crowd that had forced it on the players & not the gaffer.unbelievable.had we carried on with Bobbys tactics of slow sideways passing & going nowhere after 35 mins we'd of been smashed 4-0!! i'm not sure we'll be quite good enough in the Europa to win it, so for me he has to be sacked & replaced. P.Reid would be a good fillin til the end of the season as he talks sense & is a good motivator & Everton through & through & then a permanent change in the summer to Frank De Boer or Bilic for me!

SteWillow mate, There were also many many many more of us that said from the start that Martinez would be a bad choice. Bill allowed Roberto to flannel him and should have thought beyond the 3-0 win at our place, the FA Cup win and his guts. I believe he even mentioned Martinez CV as a reason, must have left his reading glasses at home that day. We are Everton and should not settle for bottom quarter finishes season upon season and that is what will happen under Roberto. The only Provisio is that by some miracle he actually looks across the Park and sees that actually you can keep to your principles by tweaking your tactics.

Duncsmum - fair comment if you didn't want him to start with. I am happy to come on and eat humble pie if the rest of the season is disastrous but I just don't think it will be.
Majority of managers need time is all I am saying really

'' w**kfest over Bobby and the school of science football we were playing, ''

Some people enjoy the past so much that the present is a daydream and the future is just a bed time story or nursery rhyme (big roll of the eyes )

That '''w**kfest''' was a heady response to a refreshing style of footy!

However ''Bobby'' has once again been sussed and it turned out this was his school of pseudo science!

The tempers were muted for quite some time! perhaps for TOO long imo.

I agree with anyone here who would like RM sacked and let's say that on this point I will be obstinate and certainly not fickle.

14 Mar 2015 15:12:40

14 Mar 2015 15:25:29
Ste: I like your 'dyed in the wool' attitude mate I do honestly!

However we are more concerned now (this minute I mean) about our PL status .

and if that's IF we win the EL it will be down to player power i.e. the boys on the pitch doing what they know works instead of repetitive non progressive non rewarding passing to and throw!

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Mar 2015 15:53:42
Blue247 hopefully 3 points tomorrow may go some way to alleviate your concerns mate. I agree rm needs to try something a bit different and maybe after Thursday he just might take the hint. I still don't believe we will sack nor that it would the right time to do so unless we had a world beater lined up.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Mar 2015 18:17:57
Totally agree with stewillow. Can't honestly see us being relegated, so therefore RM will still be our manager next season. Bill won't sack him, probably hoping for better things next season. Remember moyes second season? He didn't press the panic button then, so what makes people think he'll do it now? I've read on here some people wanting de mateo? Do these people watch football? Laudrup? One good season at Swansea, then fall apart the next. Sound familiar? I predict a convincing win tomorrow. I've seen it in the tea leaves.

Why do people say we won't he relegated? We're 3 points off the bottom 3, ship goals at an alarming rate and rarely look like finding a win. We're not immune from relegation and we're definitely not too good to go down.
