It's a shame how his career has gone lately. When arsenal signed him I honestly thought he was the best left footed striker in the world at the time.

He's awful, maybe about 7 years ago he was a handful but would I want to sign someone who inter fans voted the worse signing ever made by the club, like av said there's a video of him taking a corner his misfits 10 yards in front of himself it's comical, there's a reason arsenal and inter aren't interested it ain't 2006 so why should we settle for him

We must not sell any of are prize assets this year any offers for stones(united) McCarthy (arsenal)Barclay(city) must be dealt with these vultures are circling and we must be strong .We need to improve the terms McCarthy is on as it is an insult to the lad that bit part players are earning more as when fit he plays.the player and his agent wil no this so the club must sort it out or he will be off .Stones and Barclay have both had up and down seasons but both are more than capable of pushing on this year and increasing there value from were it is now same could be said for Lukaku .There is no reson to sell any of these with the new Tv money we should not be forced to sell any first team players.I do expect to see some players leave but let's make sure we keep are best ones.

Clubs don't hold the power these days over players, so not selling isn't the same as a player wanting out, which is more the case, generally down the vile agents that suck the life out of clubs

I think Martinez is very lucky to be our manager next season after those pathetic performances season gone. I know were a club that stands by there managers but when do you say enough is enough? Nobody from the club criticises anything and the local media are scared stiff to ask the serious questions ie the ground, new owners etc I'm terrified we are becoming Stoke or Swansea no offence to those clubs.

Youve made a valid point pod.While all the players we are being linked to is pure speculation at the moment,the quality of those being mentioned plus the one we've already signed don't fill me with any confidence for the future at all. FFS we are Everton these players might be good enough for Wigan imo they are not good enough to take us on to another level.I get the feeling MArtinez wants to fill the team full of average journeymen to the detriment of seeing our best players sold for big money.Why else would you leave a player like Jimmy Mac swinging over a new improved contract and sign cleverley on a better contract than him one of our better players. Its baffling and has me worried as to where were going under Martinez in fact its frightening.

When a player is signed on a free, part of his wages is amortized over the actual value of the player.
Hence, McCarthy @ 14 mil against Cleverly on a free.
It surprises me more players don't let their contracts run down and be in a good bargaining position.

Would love us to sell lukaku if we could get say 35 million for him and go all out to get Edin dzeko and someone like Javier Hernandez, yes wages would b a problem to sign both players but that forward line would get u 35/40 league goals alone for a combined fee ov what ya would get for lukaku who is a lazy s**t who thinks he has made it

I wuddent say lukakus lazy I'd say he's probably got the worst technique av ever seen, his first touch has been spoken about many a time but it's got no better in two years the coaches should just be working on it day and night makes you wonder what there doing

R u serious swan dzeko has got 181 goals in 338 games he is a sub at city yea but start him every game up top for us and he is guaranteed at least 25 goals minimum, u honestly r a top clown yano swan u just wanna pi** on anyone's opinion who doesn't agree with u

Oh stop you're making me blush. Just because a player scores goals as a sub does not mean he will get more as a starter. Look at Hernandez. He is also 28, slow as hell, on 160k a week and can't pass. And you want him to replace Lukaku. Pfff.

For the money we paid for RL ,
those ''20 goals'' should be in the PL and at least a further 10 in all comps.
In which case I would be saying we had got our money's worth.

One of the big papers is reporting that we've signed Del and for the meager sum of 3 mil. If so that would be a fantastic bargain. Either way I hope we sign him regardless of the fee.

I heard 6 mil with a resell clause for 9 mil and 12 mil in the last 2 years of the contract he signs. Still a good deal though.
