Barkley and Drenthe scored for reserves tonight. Good sign ! Really looking forward to Drenthe getting match fit and playing on the left with Coleman on the right, i cant remember the last time we had pace on both wings ? {Ed025's Note - i know mate..it sounds promising..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Drenthe and fellow new boy Denis Stracqualursi both started for Everton and showed glimpses of what they are capable of but it was Frenchman Magaye Gueye who was the stand out performer as he continues his comeback from a broken toe. {Ed025's Note - do you know what..i think he deserves a chance in the first team, i would play him in the league cup, because unless he gets a chance....we will never know how good he is!..

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi Ed, I didn't get to the reserves game but saw Drenthe's goal on SSN and also the handbags bit, but my question was how did Denis get on and was Vellios playing, and if not do you think he might get a start against Wigan {Ed025's Note - denis played up front on his own, and although willing, never really shone, mind you, who does when we play 4-5-1?...vellios never started and i dont expect him to start at the weekend, but he may figure in some capacity..

Agree0 Disagree0

The blue unions next project should be to petition moyes to play 4-4-2 ffs

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i would be at the front on that march..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bez the blue, great shout ! Lets get on to it, massive banners 4-4-2 !!!!!! haha
You joking ed025, so the reserves even play 4-5-1 !!!!!!!!! {Ed025's Note - it seems its the coaching policy at the club...(sigh)..

Building a team for the future around Felli and Barkley in Centre mid has got to be the priority, i honestly believe they could be one of the best partnerships in the prem in a few years.Get them both locked down on ten year contracts FFS! {Ed025's Note - felli is a priority!.we dont have long...

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I would love it with Felli and Rodwell gel, two technically gifted athletes together, with Barkley coming on in a free role to cause chaos.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats the point in building a team round fellani. He's been offered a contract he won't sign it. Needs to be cashed in on in Jan or the summer at the latest.

Would be devo'd if he walked away on a free or for buttons like pienarr.

Agree3 Disagree0

Where do you get your info from mate? Felliani has not turned down the contract offer at all. Talks are still ongoing with all parties saying it's looking good that he will sign. Get your facts right before posting!!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

I think you'll find fellani came out and said he will not sign a contract until he see's what direction the club is headed. Or do you honestly believe Moyes would let his contract run down to now without offering him a contract?

I know we all want to believe he's gunna stay but need to be realistic if he was gunna sign he's had 9 months since we opened contract talks to do so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Felli needs to be sold if he won't sign - or it's between 10-20m walking out the door.
Still think we should have signed barton on a free - that was a mistake. Still - Rodwell and Barkely might be the future ? {Ed025's Note - i would give him till christmas to sign, if not, put him in the january sale..

I was pleased with the performance on saturday, but i still can't see us finishing
higher than 7th this season, but Stoke (FFS), and i believe Villa are threats to finish above us. We could finish anywhere from 7th to 12th. If were gonna win a cup we need a little bit of luck for once, ie, a run like what Portsmouth had in 2008

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The only team I can see challening us for a top 7 spot is Stoke...they have spent fairly big but I still think it is ours. Villa won't come close they have lost some big players.

7th any other season would get us Europa League and I think we will finish 7th again and hopefully grab a Europa spot. Or just win the FA Cup and do it that way =)

Agree0 Disagree1

I think we will get 7th mate, my prediction is;
1.Man United
2.Man City
3.Chelsea
4.Arsenal
5.Liverpool
6.Tottenham
7. EVERTON
8. Stoke
9. Aston Villa
10. Fulham
11. West brom
12. Newcastle
13. Wolves
14. Bolton
15. Sunderland
16. QPR
17. Wigan
18. Blackburn
19. Norwich
20. Swansea

Agree4 Disagree0

Move arsenal down 2 places and apart from the odd place near the bottom I'd agree

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty decent prediction that, agree with sunderland finishing low, steve bruce bought far too many players i mean 11 players is ridiculous ! Think liverpool may get 4th though although it pains me to say it haha {Ed025's Note - i fancy us for either 6th or 7th..there are not a lot of teams who are better than us!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 25, if you think we may get 6th who do you think it would be at the expenses of? Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs? {Ed025's Note - spurs and arsenal are no better than us!..i think if we beat the so called lesser lights, we will pick up points off the big boys, and yes, i do believe 6th is possible..

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you ed, arsenal and spurs have started poorly, there is no reason why we can't compete with them for the europa league places

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

I honestly, genuinely reckon we have a better chance of winning something in the immediate future than Arsenal. {Ed025's Note - they look a shambles..to be honest......i reckon we will finish above them!, outside the top 4, we are as good as anyone..

Allow Liverpool Cruise Terminal full "Turnaround" facilities

Nothing related to football but the benefit of the city

epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/16466

This about more business for the city.

Spread the word {Ed001's Note - why bother though? The government will take as much notice of this epetition as they did the Hillsborough one. In other words absolutely none.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not about getting Government to debate atm. Its about registering the support for the City in petition form. If it reaches 100,000 then great, a Liverpool MP can try and get the debate. But until that point it show show much support there is for the idea in the city. And when Southampton has 10,000 on their's (which has been open a month) then let's get cracking and signing up.
P.S The Hillsborough petition will be the first ever debated by the House of Commons as announced yday. {Ed001's Note - it's ok mate, I was just playing Devil's Advocate then, by saying it myself I cut off having to read through loads of posts saying the same thing, while still giving you the chance to make the point why people should sign it.}
