I think moyses goes to spurs, the man to come in should be Slaven Bilić as he loves everton and he will get us playing football! And he is on a free o that might catch bills attention

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I think Bilic has already taken a job at Lokomotiv Moscow

Agree0 Disagree0

He is going to Spartak Moscow after the euros.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have a hard job he's of to russia

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting suggestion about Bilic, but would he want the job while we have little money for players. I think Roberto Martinez is a better fit, as he has worked with limited funds, likes to run all football matters at the clubs he's managed (like Moyes does at Everton), and has progressive views on tactics. As for Moyes, why would he go to Tottenham unless he had complete control on all football matters, which might not fit in with their vision for their club's structure (i.e. with a director of football, etc.) For what it's worth, I suggest Gus Poyet for Tottenham.

Harry Gone! Official!
Moyes is odds on favourite for the job, hope he doesn't go, if he does I expect big bids for Jags, Baines, Fellani and Jelevic, not to mention Pienaar will not join us because Moyes will want to keep him.
Just hope they go for Capello or Villas-Boas or even Klinsmann!
If Moyes does go though would you fancy Harry to come to us and do a good job?!? Knowing our luck we'd get Mick McCartney though!

It's not official it says sky sources understand there not always right there sky sources said soles jar would take over Aston villa (can't spell his name) it's just speculation

Agree0 Disagree0

Instead of Mick McCartney as manager I'd rather have Paul McCartney as our major investor. Then this club would really have wings :-)

Baines or felliani. If we do have to sell one who should it be ? Personally I would choose fellaini. He would go for at least 10 million more than baines. Moyes would buy 4 decent players with 25-30 mill. I think we are looking to offload one big player again. Yes screech is a very good player, but for me he is not a complete player. He lacks pace and should score more goals. It's what seperates you from very good to world class. I'm sure a lot would disagree but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Both will stay imo, couldn't choose between them, they are both so valuable to the team

I reckon no1 should leave and give it a least another season cos we are able to get into the top 5 at least and then felli will get Europe!

If we keep this group of players together and get pineaar and naismith i think we can be top 5, we were playing great football towards the end of the season

Spurs stubbornness and the harry situation will be holding up the pineaar deal and rangers dire situation will be holding up the naismith deal, i am confident both will happen

Evening Gents and Eds.

If Harry is to leave Spuds and Moyes take the managers position, am I the only one who would think Moyes is hypocritical? He demands loyalty and respect from his players but may not show it in return. I pretty sure Moyes would have said to Peanuts "We told you that the grass isn't always greener". I for one really hope that he doesn't go and stays loyal to the club and the fans that have stayed loyal to him for so many years. I was also thinking that if the Spuds job is up for grabs and Moyes is promised money to spend at Spuds then this may force Blue Bill to find some funds to keep Moyes at the club.

Thoughts please guys.

Everton Al. {Ed024's Note - I don't think moyes will go to spurs, everton can finish higher than spurs next season

Believable4 Unbelievable0

That's a massive If for me Al. My money's on Di Matteo being manager of Chelsea, Harry Redknapp being manager of Tottenham and David Moyes being the manager of Everton at the beginning of next season ... Brendan Rodgers first to get sacked lol

Dog Puke Peter

I think you could be right Pete. Di Matteo has been given the Chelsea job too which would be part one of your theory. Fingers crossed mate.............and Bill, get your bloody wallet out tight arse! :-P

Just a point I would throw out there! But all fellow blues, do you feel proud to support our great club, coz at the minute our best players are being linked with the so called big clubs in this country. Screech to chelski, baines to Man Utd, jags to Man Utd etc etc etc. that means we are doing a great job and if I'm not mistaken, who was the last player from the deluded red s***e that was linked with any of these teams??? Proud to be blue.

Wrighty

Believable6 Unbelievable0

It's also a reflection of our financial state that teams are looking to poach our players. It would be nice if Moyes could build a team without restrictions or the worry of having the rug pulled from underneath him.

all these takeover rumours i am tired of hearing them knowing that it is never gonna happen it has been 10 years since bk wanted to sell the club.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Haha, what happened to him saying his is the best person to sell Everton? He has supposedly been looking actively for investment for over 5yrs now, makes you wonder that a) if he really does want to sell the club and b) what the price of the club is, as we haven't even been close to a takeover, yet, team after team are taken over.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been on here before and said that the reason we haven't been sold is price. Randy Lerner and the Abu Dhabi people all looked at Everton before they bought Villa and City respectively, but they were put off by the asking price. It is well know within football circles that BK is asking far too much for the Club. So, no sale likely in the near future.

Fellaini signed a contract when not everyone
expected him to....he must have looked for
some flicker of hope that European football was
on its way to Goodison....and that would
have meant Moyes talking to him about
club plans and possible investment. Unless
Moyes had some tangible hope to offer him
it seems unlikely that an ambitious international would have singed on again
Oscar

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Don't read too much into it. The fact is noone was showing any real interest at that time him, so it suited him and the club to sign the contract.

Gueye isn't a naturally wide player his position is to play in the whole he's a cam who's played in the left midfield role

Anyone tried to name our best starting 11 using players currently contracted to us?
Gueye only naturally wide midfield player in the squad and he's nowhere near good enough at this stage of his career.
ONE Premiership calibre forward (don't say Cahill or Fellaini).
Still don't have a right back in my opinion.
Need investment. Quick.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gueye is actually an attacking midfielder or striker not a winger.

if we lose felli roddwell should be allowed to step into his shoes? if baines go bring through duffy as a bench player and put distin out wide with heitinga in the middle... so if the nightmare happens we should line up:
howard
hibbo
jags
heitinga
distin
osman
rodwell
barkley
pieman
cahill
jelavic.. that unless signings are made?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Obviously if Baines & Fellaini go there will be transfers!

can we assume that everyone trying to sell Fellaini and Baines on here is not an Evertonian. The media is desperate to manitain the cosy position of the top 4/5/6 so expect all players playing outside that situation to be linked even if they have not asked to leave. Exactly when has a player left any club in this situation unless the selling club is suited by the deal.
The Rangers situation is a wake up. A club acting sensibly and within normal business rules with a board who has genuine concern for the club is a much more stable place to be. We may be able to fund a team that includes Fellaini Fernandes Piennar Naismith and Baines for just a few million. Lets push for that esecially as its potentailly good enough to get into Europe with Rodwell and Barkley maybe improving too, then we can shut up about whose going and enjoy what is actually happening. Which other club are you envious of in the long term?

Reading a few comments over the last few weeks about our rb position i dont think we need to buy for that position as we have Coleman .I think Moyes should start playing him there this season its his natural position i do think we need pace and creativity on the wings[peanuts will do nicely] and another winger i would love to get Adam Johnson i think he is a superb player but if its true city want 15 mill for him i think we will have to to look at other options.I know Osman can do a good job out there but we just need that bit of extra flare its a pity Moyes didnt go for McClean i think that lad is very exciting to watch but we will wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.Stef the blue.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I know Coleman started out life as a RB but regretfully, he cannot tackle. McClean as far as I know is a left winger. BlueTone

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree blue tone Coleman tracks back well when playing on the wings and makes some decent tackles i think he needs to start playing right back again and gain confidence playing there and think he will hold down that position well.Stef the blue.

Agree0 Disagree0

I remeber us being linked with Mclean before he went to sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the best rb we have had in a while was Jacobsen but he got released and never got played but when he did he was excellent, especially the fa cup final when he cam on, he was a very good player who never got a game! He was Definatly one who got away.........

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

Hibbert does not get the credit he deserves, yes, he's not a Kyle Walker or Micah Richards but he is a solid Right Back, answer me this over 10 years at the club how many times have you saw him get "done" in a game against a winger?? I can think of one or two one of them being the FA cup final in 2009.
The lad is fantastic, solid tackler, quick, and the season just gone he really improved his forward play and crossing, he got 5 assists aswell.
Were ok in defence in my opinion. Were we need to improve is on the wing, getting Pienaar back and a right winger is essential this summer and also cover for Jelavic. (if we get funds obviously)

The bookies have david moyes the odds on fav to join the spuds,we need a top class replacement if he goes, how about fabio capello no compo needed,Ian holloway,a small amount of compo and I hate to admit it coz gandolph brought it up Benitez, two of them have mixed it at world class level

Believable1 Unbelievable9

While we don't have the money for big transfer fees and very high player wages, I cannot foresee a "big name" European manager taking over if and when David Moyes moves on. Both Moyes and Howard Kendall joined us having begun their managerial careers at lower league clubs, so that seems the likeliest source of the next Everton manager. It all changes if we get big investment of course. I can also imagine Phil Neville in the role at some stage.

Cowpat Sid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I am not even going there with trying to pick a manager to replace the great one we currently have and who has never spoken of leaving our great club

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Harry redknap is going nowhere so david can not replace him so we don't need to look at red sh***e cast offs........grbefc

Agree0 Disagree0

No to all three for me .. and Ian Holloways got to be the best out of them! The other two have had fairly easy jobs when they've won trophies then when they've left ( Liverpool and Real ) they've left a right mess for the next manager to try and sort out. David Moyes will stay whether he's favourite elsewhere or not and that's fantastic news for us blues! Amen lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Sid. You are the reason people should put their name to their posts. Quality name mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

.... fair point gandolf though that was time ago, the clue was in the ( Liverpool Real ) In more recent times i belive they've both done cr*p. I wouldnt have either of them cleaning the bogs at Goodison let alone manage the club lol .. it'd be like giving Kenny Dalglish the Liverpool job with 50m to spend on 2 players ... a disaster!

According to the TV, News papers, radio and rumour sites all our players are leaving.
Jags, Baines Felline, Rodwel, Barkley, the jelly man and probably some more are all going. If that’s the case we may as well give up now.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

It seems that all sorts of interested parties - agents, managers, players themselves - get stories placed in the media for their own ends. Plus it just seems to me that the lazy journalists seem to trawl the Internet for gossip (anything from nonsense to malicious rumours) to publish rather than find out for themselves by honest endeavour. For transfers, I believe only what is officially stated by the club - in Moyes we trust. Once a blue, always a blue.

Why are all these people mis-reading the Fellaini coments,
if you read them and read them propley you will understand it better.
this is just one line from the interview.
If I have got to go, I will go, if not, I repeat, I am happy at Everton (what is the first word?)
IF!
SO THAT MEANS (IF) and thats a big if as we do not new to sell him as we have been working hard to build a team around him, and if he wasn't happy would he have singed his new contract NO.
so stop talking all this bull and putting 2 and 2 together and lets just wait and see, as for the last 10years under moyes we have never known who we are getting
P.S slate me as much as you want for my spelling and coments, but i am dyslic so there HAHA

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as i am aware is it not a 28mil clause in his contract and only a team in champ League can activate it
