hi ed do you think with all the sky money we get and what looks like a quite window we are keeping all our cash to put towards a new home because we are making a profit now it makes sense to me even arsenal went skint for a few years I know we have always been skint but we have never had so much sky money coming in.

{Ed025's Note - we are just being careful imo konehead, which we may pay for come the end of the season mate..

13 Jul 2015 17:26:08
Any idea how much we have got to spend ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - more that what we are spending at the moment WF, we have money mate but the buggers dont seem to want to part with it..

Ed, do you think Robbie has done all of his business and will be using the youngsters as back up seeing as there is no European football this season?

Also and I hope I am wrong but I have a horrible feeling he may us Barry as a make shift CB

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i expect a couple more in devon, and one of them to be a CB mate..

I don't think even Roberto is stupid enough to use Barry as a proper 3rd choice centre back!

He did say that the balance of the business may be late in the window, with the team away this week I can't see anything happening now.

Keep seeing stories about the 'Blue Union' in a campaign to expand the old lady to 61,000 capacity? For a cost of roughly £100M. Is this just hear say or what? Not going to pretend I know anything about stadium expansion or how much it's going to cost, but I can't see it being possible? And at such a cost? Dunno anyone with any info? Or expertise in such area feel free to give me a heads up?

Danny has only done what all players are now doing. Squeezing his parent club for as much money as he can. Thanks to us showing a bit of interest in him he was able to double his pay. I'm sure Kev and James will be in the same position if Spurs rumours are true, and so will be able to "improve" their position should they stay. Don't you just love em!

. Scott Dann has just penned a new 5 year deal at Palace. seems like nobody wants to join Everton anymore (apart from Del Boy that is).mind you he was a supporter of the dark side & I don't really rate him at £15 million anyway so who cares!

I read on one of the sites yesterday ( may have been Man U ) someone posted about Van Persie moving to Turkey. They pointed out the imbalance in Premier clubs financial state when a player like Van Persie moves abroad when clubs like Everton and Tottenham should have been interested. I totally agree.
I know his best years are probably behind and injuries are of concern, but pairing with Lukaku would help to improve the laters performances.
He may be another Man U cast off but is one I would welcome for a couple of years, because one thing Everton need to progress is quality up front which they haven't got at the moment.

When the player of Scott Dann's level chooses to stay with his Club rather than come to us, then you know the level BK and RM are aiming at.

well trawled the usual rumour sites for anything but the usual rubbish, however one site linked us with Vidic who apparently had an unsuccessful season at inter, at 33 still got a few years left and could be a good experienced addition to the defence.

Blinding bit of business by the reds the new Sean Wright Philips has left the building!
If only City wanted Mirallas we could rob them blind too!

How desperate are City mate, I can't believe they paid that amount for him, just shows how much money they actually have, Sterling will be on loan at another club within 24 months

Only one thing to say about this "Show me the money" it would be funny if he failed his medical though after allegedly stating he dislikes Rogers. Maybe he should have taken a leaf out of Delphs book. Now there is a footballer that puts playing before cash, I bet his agent is sick as a parrot.

All thia talk about Mirallas going to West Ham is rubbish. His reasons were to play Champions League football. Going to West Ham is a step in the wrong direction so he won't go there. Shaquiri could ply in behind Lukaku and be a good player to get beyond the defence. One player i'd like to see us go for is Javier Hernandez. He surely won't cost too much and would be a good player to have. Better than Kone. Said this the last two years! What do tou think Ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i expect kev to stay steve, and hernandez would be a good addition i think mate..

13 Jul 2015 06:19:04
Shaqiri was class not long ago but there must be something wrong there as none of the top clubs are going anywhere near the guy, best leave this one alone me thinks, Drenthe number 2

Disagree Murf, he's not being looked at because where out of the top teams would he go?

RM and Barca have plenty of wingers. Same is the case with Bayern. He has Shalke looking at him, but apparently prefers BPL.

If all of those clubs,Utd just signed Depay, Arsenal have sanchez walcott and ox, Chelsea, well, no need to explain that on and City I believe have got a limit of foreign players to bring in.

I can see Liverpool looking at him now, but that's because Sterlings gone to City.

I think it would be a brilliant acquisition.

I watched Shaqiri at Inter and he was a superstar if you ask me. Inconsistent as heck but when he was on form, he was brilliant.

A step in the right direction for us. Another up and coming talent to add to the already plentiful list.

Swan what I'm saying re the Howard post, didn't want to write on the bottom of a page, the guys gave a lot for Everton, poeple that go the game can see he dosnt control his box properly, dosnt come for crosses when there 2 yards away but I think sometimes you unload a bit too much, put 4 keepers in goal last year we would still have passed it round for hours like numpties anyway, defensive mistakes contributed in them games also which is undeniable
